These songs are meant for sociopaths. Let’s be honest. Anyone who has eyes and ears knew how awful that day was. It should not take an emotional song to provoke an emotion that should have already been there. These songs are not for survivors or even people who watched it on TV- these songs are for people who are sociopaths who watch horrific things happen, feel nothing, and then need a song to give them some training to have tears when people speak about it in real life. These songs- even the Laci Peterson songs- are meant for people who have no emotional reaction to moments where everyone else already knows how to feel. You shouldn’t need a song to provoke an emotion when the emotion is already there.
