So, I made this guide WAY different than my other guides format wise, going strictly by gameplan as opposed to a more structured approach breaking down each move. I think this gives a more cohesive strategy but may be a little harder to follow? Let me know feedback, my goal is to keep improving on how these guides are made 🙏
I like the more holistic approach of this video. Going move by move might be useful for more experienced players, but it can be hard to construct a gameplan yourself just off of the raw move information as a newer player. "This is a good anti air, this is a reversal," is useful for when you already know what you want to do, and just need to know which specific move does that thing. It's much harder if you don't know what you want to or should be doing in the first place.
I'm an experienced player and I think this approach that jumps straight into gameplan based on your tools is much more useful. As a new player I wouldn't be able to say whether this is a better approach or not. Good job!
Love these way more tbh. In your Kim guide for example, you went over some moves like OD run LK which you said was a bit useless (on top of other moves being useless) which, despite being good info, kinda took away from the talking time of important stuff if that makes sense. This guide is perfect. Rather than talking about just what in what situation, you also talk about the whens and whys which I feel is very important for newer players. Telling someone that a DP is an anti air and that they should use it vs opponents who jump a lot is WAY better than telling someone that DPs are for anti airs if you get me. Great video, keep up the great work and good luck at EVO!
I’ve been looking all over for a quality Rashid guide that was quick and this hit all the right notes for me! I think this format works well for players that already have experience in the game!
Picked up SF6 two months ago. I immediately was compelled to Rashid and this video has been so helpful! I come back to it every two weeks and add a bit more to my kit now that In slowly learning the game. I know its not crazy to some of you, but I finally hit plat!
Thanks, as a beginner trying to learn Rashid, this guide is great. Much clearer than those guides with written combos on the screen that spam gameplay without explanations. I can’t say that I get everything you say, but this is a material that i can work with and that I’ll watch over and over again as I’m practicing to improve my mastery of the character.
I've been playing Rashid for about a week now. Only Diamond 2 so far but what's really helpful about this guide that nobody else is doing is that you didn't give me 10000 combos. I want one midscreen combo, one corner combo, and how to get into super. I can figure out the rest as a go on and get stronger with the character. So this was super helpful! Thanks so much
Great video man, love this format. One thing I kinda want to add, since you were so precise with everything, is that at 18:33 you can actually get a combo from the punch attack after the run even when it's not a punish counter. Only when the opponent is at the corner, this move links into standing medium punch that leads into rashid's target combo and lots of stuff after. It's a nice unexepected trick but you obviously lose the corner so I wouldn't recommend this everytime, maybe if you are sure to kill afterwards. Keep it up!
These guides are a lot more useful than the other ones. I want to just learn how to play the character in neutral and have an understanding of their flowchart. The problem with combo videos is they just have too many combos and I just want to learn the main BnBs. So this video really helped with that.
This is insanely helpful, and the new format is perfect; especially because Rashid's gameplay can lead to scrambles often and confuse new players (like me).
Loved the new video style. As someone who really really wants to play Rashid it helped a ton and I understood it better than the other character guides I’ve seen. Seriously- this is what I need to know to play a character
Just started learning Rashid and dude your guide is sick! It's concise and straight to the point. Thanks heaps and I look forward to more guides from you.
Imma need to watch this. Im wanting to use Rashid. Kinda get cold feet a lot about playing online, gonna get over that fear. Could use new friends to get my self going.
so on the +52 knockdown you can actually do a safe jump setup with the flip into itself as it is 51 frames total, and you can also do light kick flip and be +2 in the opponents face, for an advanced guide
no idea what use this could have but the "useless normal" out of run is buffed if you do it in the tornado you have to interact with the tornado as you start the normal, and not as you start the run? so its only really useful if you launch the tornado at them
Personally I find using the gameplan as a topic a little unfocused. However, I do think that gameplan should be in the forefront, maybe the first thing that you talk about. Personally I liked the kimberly video structure of running through the normals then specials etc I really liked the discussion about Oki though, it's something that I feel is very important Great video still, love learning about these characters especially since they're both my mains :)
? Am I the only one that feels like sometimes the consistency of the buttons are off in this game? Meaning you know your doing the move at the right time and it's not coming out as consistent when you have the timing down for example when you use Cammy's charged cannon spike into level 3 it doesn't come out sometimes.
I'm really struggling against characters like Chun Li, Lily, Luke, Manon, Juri, etc. Rashid neutral game just can't keep up, at middle range he doesn't have a chance. So, I've to risk close the distance, try a knockdown and then put some game on the table but sometimes those characters can build a "wall". My felling right now is Rashid have a lot of bad matchups and the worse part is they're very popular characters. Besides, there's something bothering me, pretty sure it's a bug. Using Classic sometimes the first frame of OD Mixer it's not invincible, depending how you doing the input. Probably you already saw Rashid being punished for a aerial move when the Mixer should cut it off, happen mostly against Cammy. In Modern that's doesn't happen, the OD Mixer always have a invincible startup.
He really undersells 2H combo into level 2. it nets you a very long near 4k damage combo if you take the time to learn it, which you shoulf since its his farthest reaching normal
How do you think he does vs the cast? Ive defintely run into some very problematic matchups for him (cough cough the top tiers) Im also noticing good opponents really locking down some of his central tools.
How do you land after that j.2H? 21:23 Is it just a timing thing I’ve tried it for a while and can’t do it, but I really want to be able to use that out of 214KK > 236PP > 214HK instead of MP for level 3
after spinning mixer? you can follow up after light mixer if it’s counter hit and after medium mixer with OD mixer or lvl 1 in the corner. unless you mean arabian cyclone (214Xp)
I can't get the meaty crouch medium punch after doing a dash and holding down back in the corner after a throw loop. I still get crouch medium punch too early. Any advice please?
@@alicalkan Hey, I learned that you have to do the down + hp very low to the ground. I find the timing to be quite difficult but I’m sure some practice would help that.

I much prefer this kind of guide - way more useful for piloting the character and less of an "overview" which the game does a good enough job of.
Love these way more tbh. These 101 vids are amazing. Please do more for every character!
Going from Kim to Wind God im glad you made guides for both of my characters now!
been waiting for this
Crazy that you’re here now 😅 you’ve been all over the place and now you’re at SF
League is so shit compared to sf6 its not even close

Great video teaching the strategy of the character before and after a combo.
Loved the new video style. As someone who really really wants to play Rashid it helped a ton and I understood it better than the other character guides I’ve seen. Seriously- this is what I need to know to play a character
You can use heavy Arabian cyclone after forward throw in the corner. It hits meaty and you can do either follow up for pressure
This is exactly what i was looking for in a character guide, massive thanks for making a super clear game plan video
More character guides like this! This is the best format for a character guide on a character on YT. Thanks!
Inclusive with the few changes, Rashid continue having the deadly tool he have in SFV with the Tornado mechanic that enhance his moves and movility,
For the perfect meaty after throw, I do 6632MP and it works every time.
Please make playlists for these SF videos when you put them out 🙏
Thanks for sharing the Twitter tech in vid

This is the breakdown I needed now I’m ready to play rashid frfr keep up the good work and thanks for the breakdown!!
Really helpfull. Thank you, Diaphone.
I was criminally underrating his standing strong kick!
Every time that forward medium comes out fully instead of canceling into a move is just a slap to the face 🥲

thank you so much Diaphone for the awesome guide.
Love your guides!
Thanks! I'm not great at the game but placed diamond first time playing Rashid
Shoutout to the people here because they don’t wanna get DLC 1 but still wanna learn the Rashid matchup
Thank you very much, ive been struggling on how to play him effictively all round yet with this i and many others to have a solid base to build with
Charge whirlwind shot into mixer is a full on block string with no gaps too
Yes I will subscribe sir, I feel like these are some great ideas I can integrate into my gameplay
these videos make me realize i have no business trying to play a fighting game. :D
Rashid’s actually super underrated, might main him until Ed comes out
Awesome video!
Since your last video, the editing ist pretty nice 🔥
With what kind of programs do you work?
definitely learned a lot from this guide ❤
I'm adapting to it too , A lot of the mix reminds me of my character I-no from Guilty Gear
I was a Kim main and I am also thinking of switching to Rashid so very excited to see where you take this character.
bruh i already switched. i really hate how capcom took away her shit from the Open beta.
rashid feels like what Kim should be
What do I need to do to get you to make a guide for every character in the game. These guides are amazing. Thanks! Blanka guide next ?🥺

Just bought rashid yesterday what i like about him us he plays like saberwulf and sadira from killer instinct.
enhanced eagle kick is still punishable by cammy lvl 3 and maybe some other stuff? i think its -15 at full screen.

I’ve been watching a lot of Japanese pros play Rashid and I noticed that nobody uses his sa1 and sa3, it’s always the sa2 to apply corner pressure
Your 80% win rate with him matches my 20% win rate against him (using Kim).
Thank you
Excellent video man. As a fellow content creator I can tell how much work you put into this.
This character seems like the one for me, as a Chipp main in guilty gear

Yea it’s strong, only issue is I found it kinda tough to hitconfirm (and doing it on block isn’t that great). Also I think 5hk reaches further?
Danke!
You should make a 101 for all characters
Gonna do all the DLC going forward I think
please do more guides.
Any additional tips for someone playing on modern while using him?

Yea it’s tricky, gotta do super low to the ground
What about air upwards heavy kick?
O I forgot about that. Kinda niche only used in certain conbos
what are the inputs to do the follow ups after the 236Xp?
after spinning mixer? you can follow up after light mixer if it’s counter hit and after medium mixer with OD mixer or lvl 1 in the corner.
unless you mean arabian cyclone (214Xp)
Him or Ken for a beginner?
