This format of comedy is awesome. It's has similarities to other late night shows but this has actual humor and substance. It's edgy and not family friendly. It's risky and messy just like I like it.

You are right, it should be based on talent and not skin. But American history has shown that in the past and to some extent even this day that race plays a role on who gets hired. White people are still likely to get hired and promoted to better positions within a company vs black people who have the same skills if not better. White women especially benefit more from Affirmative Action more than minorities. That's why the equal opportunity act and fair housing law was passed in the first place because many minorities were denied jobs, housing, etc solely based on race.
I agree it should based on skills and talent. Sadly however what you look like plays a major role. Hollywood has a dirty history of whitewashing roles and also history of white savior movies as well. That is why I find it funny these celebs who made their money from taking such roles all of sudden feel guilty about it.
