Bro, you had made study fun and interesting . Since few months i have found a huge improvement in my study and i am able to spend free time with my family and friends. Previously i used to study entire day like mad and it was very inffective. Now i am very excited to study daily with the techniques you had shared in this channel. MINDMAPS doing in the right way saved my life 🙏
@@itswithlove-r1b Hey, yes it did help. But I'd say it took a lot of discipline and sincerity for me to actually sit down and do this. (I'm an anxious person who looks for the easiest way out most of the time) If you actually follow each step, then yes you'll remember your content and actually even answer oral questions (I've tried and tested and I got an 80% on my test I used this method on, which is fairly good given that I studied for a few hours for two days only) Make sure to not skip any steps such as making the mind map manually. Some fall into creating Mind maps through AI tools and such or even use to 'make overviews' which becomes very problematic. AI or chatgpt: use it ONLY for understanding a topic better and asking it questions just like you would ask your tutor. Happy Studying!
hi zain, thx for the helpful video, I would like to ask , do you do this for a single chapter or is it better for multiple??and how to overcome when relations are too many and overwhelming?

Pls i have been trying very hard to create mind maps cos its not just clicking ,the part that is giving me issue is the grouping part into subheadings and then should we then afyerwards memorize the mind maps or look at t everyday ?
I've only started using an ipad last week so I'm quite slow at it right now. Pen and paper is a lot faster and less fussy for me. But, ipad is easier because you can think less and make mistakes. So I guess if you're good with ipad, then use it. If you don't have it, paper pen I've been doing for like 14 months and it works fine.
I watched so much videos on smart studying and i am just so confused what should i do.After watching all of these videos i realized linear note taking, craming is wrong way of studying.I should apply active recall and spaced repetition,Feyman teqnique.Mind map for note taking etc.But can anyone plz make clear how to actually go from zero to pro.should i go this way👇🏻 1.Gathering all the resources like previous years questions, books, resources for the subject i want to study 2.Then finding most imp questions. 3.Once i have found out what are the most imp question than skimming through the chapter.Like reading about those topics.A Minute for each.Just getting basic ideas -writing just key ideas making list and connect them in mind and then categorize them in notebook for making mindmap later 4.Once done categorizing i just need to make a mindmap which needs not to be so perfect. -while creating mindmap i will just take a little bit more explanation but not so much. 5.once i am done with the mindmap explore about tgose topics more -start with which is more relevant while doing this i need to learn a topic than go and connect with the bigger picture (i am confused here what's bigger picture meant) -continue with all other topics -noting down questions i have than solving them -explain it like teaching a 5 years old if can't explain learn about details more and more and process and connect don't try to memorize -solving past papers is that's all? and while creating mind map should i use examples related to my life ?
to be honest, mind maps are tricky for me, i struggle when i do them because it consumes my time, im not sure its just that I cant seem to find it helpful. Is there any other way to study efficiently other than mindmaps? Ive tried your mind map method though, it took alot of time for me(maybe ive done something wrong).
You need to understand, that studying is not about going through Material very fast. It is about the quality of getting Information to stick in your Brain. More Time spend on Mind Map means deeper connections in your Brain and much much much less time spent on revision.
@@thecaptn1758 Hello, appreciate your reply, with mindmaps my issue is not that it consumes my time, its that i sometimes feel like im not doing it right. Like putting arrows around a main central idea, it feels like im missing an important aspect in my revision. Mind maps is an effective method, its just that it doesnt seem to work for me, Im simply just searching for a revision strategy that works efficiently, im not looking for a strategy to finish your revision quick, understanding is important your right though, usually with how i deal with revision, I watch a youtube video about a topic that I study and i dont make notes but I try my best to understand first what is going on before jotting my ideas on a separate document and creating questions from them. from that, I can use it as a guide to check my understanding and memorisation and then i do past paper questions.
@@tomono_12 Okay, Mind Maps are not for revision, they are for encoding the Information. you encode, retrieve, analyze what you couldnt retrieve or got wrong and encode the missing pieces and link them to your existing mental model, maybe reshaping it. I think I know what you mean by it feels sometimes like you're not doing it right. For met it was a long time like I did a Mind Map again and again for the same topic, because I wanted to learn how Mind Maps can help me - And you are right, its not by putting a main idea in the centre and drawing arrows. Its by digesting the information, organizing it in your mind and then draw the organization that makes sense for your brain on paper.
@@thecaptn1758 Most of the time, it feels very tough to draw a mindmap for an entire chapter (especially to connect everything to a central idea). Do you make mindmap for specific concepts in a chapter or an entire chapter?
@@thecaptn1758 you are deffinetly right, yeah i deffinetly meant mind maps for learning the content first before revising, but yes it is indeedd an effective tool but is it requires skill to use it correctly. like just having arrows around a central idea isnt the way to do it. you have to be skilled, I think what ill do is stick to my own study system, and when i do get all the time, i will practice and learn how to do mindmaps so it prepares me when i go to univeristy as i am not currently. thanks tho
Quick question about keywords, especially with the initial priming: how many do you think is recommended to jot down? I’m mainly studying cell biology and anatomy, and the professors tend to test on lecture slides and love to color-code important keywords and concepts. Problem is, if I make a list of keywords based on this, then I end up with lists made of a hundred or more keywords, especially since I’m combining topics that are closely related. How many do you think is appropriate, and should I start small at around 30-ish or so, before adding more words later on (ie layering if that is what you meant by it)? And out of curiosity, when you describe grouping keywords and concepts into specific groups, how would you do it for something like anatomy? Love all your videos, man! Keep up the amazing work!
start by 20 to 30 keywords and practice categorizing and grouping Information. If you are used to group, categorize and simplify information, slowly build up on the amount of keywords. keep in mind that your brain gets overloaded, if you work with to many keywords at once. - do your categorizing in that way it makes sense for you/your brain - thats the whole purpose of mind maps.
Zain how do you do a mind map for something like Pharmacology? I tried but I couldn't, I tried to do one for Hypertension and the thing is everything is not connected (Diuretics, ACEIs/ARB, CCBs, BBs, VDs) everything is scattered
