Friend of mine used to game with him back in the day before he uploaded any videos and said he's exactly the same person. He's been 100% himself all the time.
I was watching Ken and Pewds while I was in college around 2011-2015 I got my first internship doing business analytics and learning about S.A.P for the South Florida water management district around 2015 in February. My coworkers must've thought I was nuts because I'd always be laughing at a video from one of these guys with a headphone in my ear. I also used to listen to Sleepycast alot those years. I'm a 30 year old little old man living in California now, with my wife who was a project manager at the Florida water district. To me in 2010 when I graduated high-school, it still feels like that was yesterday. It makes me extremely happy looking back on those years. Moving out of my parent's house in 2011 felt like such a scary huge step that I didn't feel prepared for. I know it's kinda pathetic but I had no friends back then since I wasn't into the party scene and drinking. So I felt like some of you guys on RUclips were my buddies I'd check in on every now and then. So much has changed throughout the years and it's been one hell of a ride getting here today.
Still, love you guys regardless. I work from home these days since 2018. I'm almost like a RUclipsr😂
All jokes aside, these videos are giving me flashbacks of the world we millenials inhabited.
Ken mentioning people dozing off to him compared to MrBeast. I love how calm he is in his videos. He has no ideas how many drunk, dizzy nights his calm voice has gotten me through 😬😬
RUclips communities were a lot smaller back in the day, there was something really special and personal about them. I think lower production standards made it feel really personal too, just watching someone record videos in their bedroom or something was really cool for some reason.

Same, since 2012 when I first got an internet connection at our house. I've watched Charlie, Felix, and Markiplier since then, and they're the main ones that have survived in my subscription feed to this day. I was introduced to Ken by Pewds and now watch Ken and Dane's react couch daily. It's crazy how they've become such a large part of my entertainment for so long, but I'm really glad it worked out this way. I also watched theRadBrad quite a bit back then, but maybe a few years later, and Jack SPEDICEY and his Little Inferno gameplay when I was going into high school was very heartwarming too.

I guess Felix is a fan of Dune. I remember he also personally attended the premiere of Ender's Game. It's interesting to know he loves this kind of stuff, High quality scifi literature or at least their film adaptations.
I may have not realized it, but back in the 2012+ era, Felix really got me through some shit, man. For being there back then, I'll always support whatever he does. Even if I don't have time to watch Pewds videos anymore.

i feel like it's so wholesome how some of long date pewds friends came from these contests he ran in the beginning on his channel (like cinnammontoastken, jacksepticeye, etc etc). kinda sweet
I really do miss the old RUclips though because today now everything is literally hell and you can't fix it even if you decide to delete a video.
I mean that is just borderline crazy.
Especially with poor artists being shitted on by children being cancel culture a holes.
These are my most favorite videos ever. Where Pewds and Ken just shoot the 💩 and have a nostalgic look back. It makes you feel like you were there with them, 'cause for some of us we are around the same age and have been subbed since the beginning. It's a little cathartic even. Love to see how they've grown and reflect on how I have as well.

There was still RUclips partnership to get money from it; it's just that most people didn't know about it. Even for the people that used it, it didn't really affect the content back then. It would've been shameful to make videos for the sake of monetization, and RUclips wasn't suppressing content that didn't make them money the way that they do now.
