In England New mom's get an entire year off for maternity leave!!!! Here in America is a joke.
So so so great she is speaking this into life. So many women should share their story. Its nothing like tv and considering so many women go through this too little if them speak about it.
In Korea this is a must actually. I just wish it was covered by insurance 😢

The responsibility is on the mother to express her issues mental or physical. The doctor’s responsibility is to listen and treat!
I gotta ask: Are you blaming a lack of personal responsibility on the part of a new mother rather than a lack of accessible medical resources for postpartum depression ?
Everyone doesn't know what they need. New mothers, first time mothers may not have other mothers to depart wisdom that may apply to them and their family. The responsibility is on the medical professionals because they've noted the statistics and but have not acted on improving the many changes and post natal experience of American women. And surprise surprise all doctors do not listen to women especially Black women in the first place!
