Jango's life in both versions was definitely interesting I still think he's Mandalorian as most non-mandalorian bounty hunters lack the honor that Jango had.
The legends one had so much more depth, that being said I'm glad he didnt repeat the details that he had in the legends versions, like the intricacies of the Episode 2 fights

@@Cracked_Moon Issue is, while Almec has motivation to be lying, Pablo Hidalgo confirmed that according to the new canon, Jango and Boba weren't Mandalorian. It's more than just people taking Almec's word for it.
@@andymac4883 nah, when people are citing evidence, they almost always go to Almec. My point isnt whether or not true, its that it's lousy evidence.
As a person who knows alot about history and politic, the first thing that came to my mind when Almec was lying. When have people started to take politian words as the truth or even the whole truth?

Fish With A Knife George Lucas himself also said that both Boba and Jango aren’t Mandalorians, and it makes sense tbh. They’re bounty hunters, not really tied to any culture or creed, but using armor that looks Mandalorian certainly gives them a certain reputation and threat of danger

If you look close at the shot of Jango’s helmet flying through the air, you can see two shadows on the ground, one of the helmet and the other of the head falling out of it.
@Princess Slaya i know i am late,some people usually are unhappy with jango death but to be honest,dying by the hand of the strongest lightsaber user in the whole jedi order is quite an honorable death in my opinion,the best was killed by the best.

@@gabrielf.69 Haha yeah, Jango is really badass and when I was younger I was really upset byt his death and had wanted him to succed in killing mace instead. But now I think the scene is cool since Mace isn't just some ordinary Jedi. although it would have been nice for jango to survive

Jango will always be a Mandalorian in my canon
To be honest, I don't know why people think that Jango's armor being made of Durasteel proves that he is not a Mandalorian. Lightsaber resistant metal is expensive and rare and requires special techniques, so realistically speaking, only the elite would have armor forged of Beskar.
@@frankg2790 ya and I'm pretty sure the all mandos have beskar thing is legends. Din Darren doesnt have beskar till ep 3. Do the death watch guys all have beskar? They get one shotted by clones
Kaden Eichhorn Din had a beskar helmet which would have been donated to him by older mandos since he was a foundling. My theory is that Fett was in fact a mandalorian that fought in the mandalorian civil war years before the phantom menace. My guess is he was on the losing side and post war, his beskar armor would have been confiscated and melted down since the mandalorians were now pacifists. At that point I think he may have been an early member of death watch based on the color of his new armor, which would also explain why all the death watch members die so quickly as well. After getting his new durasteel armor, I’d say he disagreed with Death watch’s tactics and left the group to pursue his career in bounty hunting. The statement about him being a fake by the prime minister could also reflect his falling out with Death Watch and a cover up for them supplying his armor. None of this has any canon sources, it’s just the best way that I’ve justified him being a mandalorian still and explaining his armor with his old backstory being relegated to legends.
Same I still don’t know why Lucas and Filoni decided to write him off as not a Mandalorian

Screw what George Lucas says about both Jango and Boba Fett. Their both Mandalorians they are the reason why Mandalorians are awesome.
Lucas probably has to balance idea of heritage with the fact that the Fetts were ruthless killers.. SW is a moral story..he didn't want idea that brutality is rewarded with no cost.. in the end the deeds catch up eg Jango's death..and Boba's easy defeat by Han (by accident) 😄

I felt the same but then realized, just like killing Maul and Boba in the movies, this is a true subversion of expectation. Not the shite Rian and JJ gave us.
Tom Warlitner actually Boba Fett survived the pit monster both in Legends and Canon. Maul also survived and returned in the clone wars.
If he didn't rely so much on that Jett pack for his final fight, he might have made it. Gosh, he was the coolest.
To be fair to jango, he was up against literally the best the jedi order had to offer. I don't think there's a single scenario where he makes it out alive unless mace goes out of his way to spare him.

"all mandalorian armour is made from beskar". Except Dyn Jarren´s first armour of course, or the armour of pretty much all the death watch troopers, which definitely aren´t blaster proof. For real, beaskar is supposed to be extremely rare and expensive, so how could every bit of mandalorian armour be made of beskar?
thats what i always say, why is it so hard for people to understand that not all mandalorian armour could be made of beskar or that prime ministor almec is lying about jango being a real mandalorian, he obivisously doesn't know anything about jango because he is just a shifty politician, what the hell would he know. just make jango a mandalorian.
That's pretty much a fair point, it makes sense for royal families to have them because they are easy to be passed on by generations.
So I'm sure they all have to wait for Beskar to be obtained and later get their armors, until then, they should use something resistant for the time being. Which having a armor that is not beskar should teach them in a way that they should be careful and train their reflexes, making them more skilled in combat.
I think that beskar is never fully pure in armour, and cheaper armour has a lower ratio of beskar to durasteel - explaining why death watch soldiers seem to have much worse armour than say dyn jarren in the mandalorian. This may also explain Jango's armour as in legends we know that it was not his original suit
It was expensive and rare to the outside galaxy. It was common and cheap for the mandalorians inside mandalorian space. Din Djarin has no Beskar armor because you need to be Verd'ika (private) to get the armor. But Din's promotion was way too late as the empire had stolen most of the Beskar from the Mandalorians via Gar Saxon and the Imperial Supercommandos. Moff Gideon also ordered a bombardment of Mandalore causing Beskar to become even more rare. That's why its called rare and expensive even by Mandalorians.
The Death Watch didn't have much Beskar at all because they were constantly forced to change position from the True Mandalorians during the Mandalorian Civil War. Also when Death Watch was made half-extinct by Jango Fett, the Death Watch was scared shitless and refused to come out until he passed away.
Yea, the reason for deathwatch hiding is because of fear of Jango Fett, not those pacifist new mandalorians.
If the death watch wasn't spending their time on the True Mandalorians, death watch would have shat on the pacifists and fucked them up ten times over.

Jango has become one of my favorite SW characters, and is definitely an example of why I often like to blend Legends and Canon. While on the one hand, 'Bounty Hunter'/'Open Seasons' will remain my headcanon b/c of how it threads into the prequels, and specifically Order 66, I like what canon has done with Jango's legacy. Specifically, the comparison of Boba Fett and Captain Rex. Boba, Jango's only true copy, would see his father killed in action and grew up alone and angry, eventually cementing his own legacy as a bounty hunter--not one without honor, but more ruthless, maybe, than even his father. Rex, on the other hand, was just another clone in the massive Republic Army, who rose to set himself apart, and eventually even rejected his programming and chose to act on his own moral compass. One died ignobly at the hands of a blind Han Solo. The other lived long enough to join the Rebellion and see the destruction of the second Death Star. Both embodied elements of Jango Fett, who was a man of honor but still, ultimately, a villain. Fun stuff!
I wouldn't be so sure about Boba's death just yet.

6:38 I'm 90% any clones that may have fallen below the parameters were taken care of by the Kaminoans before that could happen, either by moving them into other sectors (like cleaning) or just straight up killing them. They definitely seem like the people who would go to extreme lengths to manipulate statistics.
They kept 99 around, but 99 had a sound mind and seemed to be able to do his job well.
As of today, December 4, 2020, Jango's origin is canon again!
Thanks for this, my favorite character other than Vader that is. Wish Disney would have made more of his Bounty Hunter game canon. Loved that Dooku decided on a clone template by a contest rather than just looking him up in whatever the Star wars version of Kijiji is. Komari Vosa was an excellent test, and short explanation for never marrying, "Not in this lifetime Roz".
I think (or at least hope) that Jango is a mandalorian as Jango and Boba were the first time mandalorian armor appeared. It would make sense that the characters that “invented” the mandalorians be mandalorians, at least in some way.
I like his voice better than the one they used for 'The Clone Wars'.

If I were to make a star wars parody movie or an anthology movie on Jango I'd obviously call it "Jango Unchained".
Jango likely used the Dart because Dooku told him he'd removed it from the Jedi data bases, and likely Sidious had removed it elsewhere, if not for Dex the trial would've gone cold.
We could also say without the lead to Kamino the jedi wouldn't have got their army until the opening part of the war.
Yeah, they needed the army to be found then. Plus, like, the clones aren't really in prime fighting age for long

Man, the prequels honestly had the best world building out of all the movies imo. They made you feel like you were actually in a galaxy far far away. The originals are no doubt good but all the new worlds and species introduced in the prequels really added to the theme. I still think CGI aliens are better than props or puppets. Especially Yoda, he looked like home made trash in the new movies. But, the new movies are home made trash too so.. oh well. Great video!

Man I can’t wait to see what happens in the Mandalorian when Boba Fett (a “fake” Mando) meets Din Djarin (a beskar-clad OG Mando). I really hope that we get to see how Boba views the the mandalorian culture and whether Din truly sees Boba’s armor as being sacrilegious.

I thought Jango's armour was made out of durasteel because Beskar was becoming rarer, even the years just prior to the Clone Wars and so, Mando armourers started to make armour in durasteel but in the artitistic style of Beskar armour (similar to how Din Djarin's first suit we see him wear is durasteel, not Beskar).
Sabine Wren told Ezra her armour was generations old and was handed down to her.
That implies that Beskar armour is a family heirloom. Perhaps not all Mandalorians owned Beskar armour.
I'll expect my payment in the usual fashion...
