Such a wonderful sermon - but you do know that rosa parks was not the first woman to refuse her seat on the bus. Claudette Colvin was - a black 15 year old girl who was harassed, terrified and arrested for refusing her seat on the bus. She had been learning about Harriet Tubman and black heroes in school and was determined to follow in their footsteps. So many unsung and unremembered heroines and heroes, also. The nameless people of strength and God's grace. People who are beaten, lose jobs and dreams, who have endured hardships - silently and unremembered - but they do it because it is the right think to do and God lights their path. Just wanted to let you know because this is such a blessed church! God has led so many of us to your virtual altar - I thank God for you.
Thank you Lord Jesus for your anointing that propels and encourages us toward greater heights in you. I pray Father that we may not lose sight of what your doing in this season of our lives but rather take part by joining you in destroying the works of the enemy in our lives and the lives of others by seeking after you with our whole hearts and minds. We love and live for you alone Lord Jesus. Amen

“Black” people must return to their First Love, The True and Living Almighty Most High Creator Of their Ancestors. They have left their Truth to praise and worship a foreign god and gods! The worst thing that a person can experience, is living and never know who and whose they are. There is a huge deficit in self love, self care, self control, self governance, and self identity. There is no reason for us to ask for anything because WE already have all that we need, we have been tapping and tapping and it’s time to tap in!!! Peace and Love
My issue is the same white men who raised me and taught me about God say BLM is evil and their racism makes them so angry and hateful. They hate that I am not racist. I'm part native and they hate that I stand up for native rights. It gets confusing when the church I got saved in preaches for trump to be president to "bring God back to the government." Is this a different god they are worshipping or just a lost church? I quit going to church and just pray and follow what I know God says is right. I KNOW I have a Deborah anointing. God tells me things in dreams sometimes. He let's me know things about people so I can pray for them and sometimes protect myself and my kids against them. I know I'm doing right. I have peace. It doesn't set right with me that there's an entire group of people who taught me about God, who believe they are 100% right in believing certain political movements that have roots in racism, sexism, albeism, etc is what God wants. Then there's churches out there that want women to be quiet and only serve in the nursery. I reminded my ex-preacher that Deborah was an Israelite judge that led men into war. He didn't even know who Deborah was. I'm outspoken, but I'm introverted and quiet. I stand up for others, but it causes me a lot of guilt. I stand up to racism and sexism and albeism, but then i question if i did the right thing because its been ingrained in me to be quiet as a woman. The women in my family tell me peace is better than anger and its better to be quiet than argue. Dont rock the boat. Dont make them mad. Its all gaslighting. I cant help myself. I refuse to be quiet when injustices are being committed. I will fight to my death for the rights of others. Anyway, I'm rambling now... comment if you have advice or words of wisdom for this because I know there's a lot of us wvho feel this way.
I must say that I love Rev. Flake’s beautiful suit and jewelry!!
