  • Topspin allows tennis players to hit the ball with lots of power and curve the ball into the inside of the court with more accuracy than hitting the ball flat. But how does it actually work? In this video we’ll explore the biomechanics of ball spin and the Magnus force. The Magnus force is important in a bunch of other sports too like football (e.g. bending the ball from a corner kick), cricket (spin bowling), baseball (curveballs)!
