MNH are really firing on all cylinders right now - of course Chung Ha is paying the bills (so much so that the company wrote off BVNDIT's trainee debt) but they are not letting BVNDIT languish. They are doing an exemplary job boosting the group in between comebacks, and as PD said, now that BVNDIT has found their sound the company is running with it. It's a shame that touring is out of the question right now, as a KCON appearance or a combined Chung Ha/BVNDIT tour would be amazing for them.
The only MNH is still missing to give Chung Ha and BVNDIT English subtitles to make them global popular

Twikai I think the answer to that is: “Yes, but…” With trainee debt wiped out, the girls do stand to make money. But except at the very high end (Blackpink, Twice), idol groups don’t make much from record sales or RUclips views. The real money comes from touring & merchandise sales, and appearances at various festivals, universities, etc. in Korea. For example, Dreamcatcher made almost $2 million last year from touring, even without being a “top tier” group. Unfortunately, the pandemic is preventing touring and concerts for everyone. If things were different, BVNDIT could be making some decent money this year, but it will have to wait until the world situation improves.

Other companies need to look at what MNH is doing with just 2 artists, compared to bigger companies that don't even treat their artists to the best that they could have. I'm looking at you, SM Entertainment and even YG Entertainment (two examples)

This comeback makes me feel like I am the badass confident queen like they are lol.

In terms of songs, I do like "Dumb" more but only because I resonate with the emotional, sultry sound. But a more in depth analysis definitely gives an appreciation for all the little things that make "Jungle" stand out towards its theme, rather than trying to be a "Dumb v2". It took me some listens to really have it settle in, but I've really come to like it. After really thinking about it, I ended up buying both their mini albums. BVNDIT has to be my favorite rookie group to debut last year, and I didn't truly find them until the end of the year when "Dumb" hit the globe-after which, I went back and checked out their other tracks.
BVNDIT stands for "Be Ambitious N Do It". I think MNH Entertainment has been very ambitious with BVNDIT. Knowing that there was a lot of money put up front and their popularity has been a slow growth (from what I understand). They don't really have the backing of an idol show or anything like that to hype them up. But they have the talent of more seasoned groups. They've definitely been training hard for years. It's good that they have a company who's standing behind the name they gave them. BVNDIT's definitely only making a good name for themselves, and I hope to see more BVNDITBULs in the future.
I wish they get a reality or appearances in varieties for more exposure. Dumb and Dramatic are still the best and among my top kpop songs, but Jungle is such a great song to jam to. Dumb has such a great MV and styling and cool choreo. what amazes me about Jungle is exactly what you said, it’s not trying to sound like Dumb or even Dramatic. They really went for a new concept.

I was insanely impressed by the editing and transition in ‘Dumb’ and I’m even more wowed with Jungle! MNH Ent really don’t mess around with giving us standout music videos
And they’re all so talented. Every single member has such a distinct and strong vocal!

BVNDIT really deserve recognition. They are one of the best debuted girl group of 2019 and their vocals are very different from other groups. They also have their own sound or trademark rather! Idk?! I love them and I hope they can gain more fans in the future.
bvndit is such a strong group, they deserve so much recognition. at first i didn't like their debut but then i instantly liked dumb and then grew to like their debut and all their bsides and current work. these girls are so talented, vocally and in dance. it's amazing! i hope you could check out their MV "Children!"
I absolutely love Jungle, the chorus keeps getting better at every listen :) I thought the music video was gorgeous, especially the colors, but I didn't notice the subtle transitions so I enjoyed discovering them with you when you pointed them out :) are you going to do a listening party for their mini album ? I know you didn't really like Cool but I think you might appreciate it more in the context of the mini album !

I feel like Yiyeon could had rapped a little since she had the less lines. But other then that I love all songs!!
I do miss her rapping, it was great in Dramatic, but that's the problem with well rounded artists, people enjoy different aspects of them and it gets hard to decide what you have them do.

I'm also in love with Songhee's vocals. Her deep voice is just soo captivating. I just followed them recently and it's a shame I'm kinda late, they're amazing! I still can't differentiate Yiyeon and Jungwoo tho..

Honestly, yes it is amazing how they don't seem rookies at all, but at the same time I wouldn't expect anything else from a company that houses an artist like Chung Ha, MNH is doing an insane job with both of them, and also seeing Chung Ha being really good friends with BVNDIT makes my heart melt, they've become one of my favourite groups so quickly, if BVNDIT keeps this up their future will be VERY bright!
23:54 - 25:00 I'm so glad you pointed this out, a lot of people seem to think it's all just about how talented the idols are that is supposed to pave the way to success, but what really makes the difference is exactly what you said. The team behind the group, their sound, their music videos and image are just as important. This is why I hate when some companies invest very poorly into these things, their groups have a hard time reaching their full potentials.
I just checked out this CB a couple of days ago and I was so impressed, I was even satisfied with the chorus even though it was weird at first listen!! Also I can't WAIT for the txt reaction bc...whew...what a comeback, what an album,,

I agree. No matter how talented you are, I think the MV combined with the song makes the biggest impact, because you are visually showing what these artists are capable of, and that is definitely one of the best, if not the best way, to showcase your up and coming artists. BVNDIT is one of those for sure, and they've already proved that they are one of my top 3 girl groups. I think MNH Entertainment is doing a fantastic job at giving them a certain sound and giving them well-produced MVs that showcase their talent and abilities that are way too underrated. Not going to lie, MNH is one of those companies that treats both Chungha and BVNDIT waayyyy better than one of the big 3 that has a crap ton of artists and don't really promote or treat them the best.
as soon as i watched this mv i knew pd would love it. i made an edit post over on tumblr summarising the mv stills and holy shit that only made me love it more. it's such a rich, gorgeous video. there's both such simplicity a robustness about it in that there isn't a real storyline, but the editing is superb. it's one of those mvs that completely complements the song -- but without making it, ya know? the song is good on its own, and so does the mv, and together they complement each other perfectly.

I really hope they get the recognition they deserve soon! I love Dumb and Jungle a lot, but only time will tell which I like more. I just know I’m obsessed with Songhee’s harmony with Simyeong towards the end of the song!💙

dumb is one of my favorite kpop songs of all time, but jungle is a GREAT comeback and im obsessed with it. i think bvndit are extremely talented and just as underrated, i hope they get more recognition because they deserve it. their music is good, their music videos are EXCELLENT and they are fantastic at live performances, to be rookies they are seriously next level. im so close to stanning, i keep watching videos of them and i listen to their music all the time so i might as well do the full work and stan them!

As always enjoyed your breakdown of the video PD. I just discovered them. Honestly i've been addicted to this song since i've first heard it the sound is so unique, that last bridge gets me everytime.
I was waiting for this!! Seriously they're one of my favorite girl groups right now, their company is really investing in them and it shows! Their songs and MVs are amazing and the girls are so talented with amazing vocals, often singing live on music shows which is kinda rare nowadays. Anyways I can see their growth and I'm sure they will blow up soon

You really should look at REDSQUARE mv for their song Colorfull, they debuted this morning and their MV is really high quality and aesthetically pleasing! The song is amazing too, and they have a really cool concept: you can't see the members face, to focus on their voice and tlent

I absolutely love this song, when the girl with the deep voice started singing I knew I was already sold. I like their sound a lot, at least their title tracks, and also I love their concept. It doesn't seem like a typical girl crush, it looks more mature and I just love that.

I had pretty much the same experience with BVNDIT. I thought "Hocus Pocus" was okay, then I got sucked in with "Dramatic" and had it on constant repeat. "Dumb" blew me out of the water, and I am impressed by "Jungle" (and relieved because I want them to do well). Their vocals are great, there's something about the way they dance that sets them apart for me, and I love the poise and confidence in their performances. BVNDIT is one of my faves of the rising girl groups.
Those spotlights with the red outfits are also reminiscent of Chunga’s Stay Tonight XD company consistency lol
