The police, fbi, and other investigators need to take all the time that’s needed to ensure that without a shadow of a doubt, this guy did something bad. So I guess Caroline (Harry Potter fan) will not be arrested for snitching? Or will Caroline (Harry Potter fan) get a less severe sentence? Well, who knows, at least Caroline (Harry Potter fan) snitching got SBF arrested
@@WAVE0025 Not entirely sure what deal Caroline (Harry Potter fan) struck with the DoJ, but I'd assume given that it was her, Sam Trabucco, and SBF who co-ran Alameda and FTX, they were just waiting on one to snitch on the others to add to the evidence they already collected. Could be full immunity, or could be that Caroline (Harry Potter fan) gets a lighter sentence in a more comfy prison cell or even house arrest with no financial dealings for the rest of her life.
My professor was called into jury duty the day our final was posted to be held, and I really just like to imagine that this is the kinda case he was working on Oh yeah I tanked that final btw it was messy
maybe more arrests in the near future - there were photos of Caroline at a coffeeshop just a few days ago. She may have a deal with the prosecutors sharing all her texts and other incriminating info. Otherwise I would expect she would be in custody as a lead of the fraudulent transactions going on
I feel/hope that the length of time from the collapse to the arrest was probably just authorities making sure they had a rock-solid case before arresting him. If they’d gone public about their investigation right away it might’ve scared SBF into silence, but since that wasn’t the case, they have a ton of stuff that they can use to incriminate him. Like how in police interrogations they just start by letting you talk uninterrupted about your version of events so that they can turn that around on you in court later. Obviously I have no idea if this was actually their strategy, but if it was, seems like it worked.
I’m not usually one to stick up for the authorities, but I think in this case, given the weight of this, if they’d arrested him before they had an ironclad case against him, he might have been able to temporarily worm his way out at least for enough time to flee/unalive himself.
Thank you for covering this because I’m doing a project for my business class on scams and all I’ve been doing is watching your videos instead of researching it myself.

Upper Echelon covered this as well earlier actually. Apparently, the Bahamian govt. is incredibly corrupt, and the prison SBF wound up in is well known for incredibly inhuman conditions and *rarely* investigating murders/deaths that actually take place in it. so if he doesn't get extradited, it's entirely possible that the dude isn't going to make it out of the Bahamas alive if at all

Man, imagine having your entire personality summed up as "28 year old Harry Potter fan".
That's such a harsh burn and they didn't even mean to.
The police, fbi, and other investigators need to take all the time that’s needed to ensure that without a shadow of a doubt, this guy did something bad. They also need to compile all the evidence possible to convict him, and ensure he goes to jail. Maybe it takes weeks, maybe it takes months, but in theory, that’s what the investigators are supposed to do.
I like to think they stayed radio silent because of all his interviews. They were looking for every slip up and admission of guilt they could.
How anyone thought he was not being investigated is beyond me.
The US doesn't have a good track record about getting arrests or convictions for bad people. Especially if they're rich... There was always a chance he was just gonna get away with it, but thank God, it looks like he isn't

Caroline (Harry Potter fan) was found at a Starbucks like a 20 minute walk away from the NY prosecutors office. She snitched and then they arrested SBF. Timelines add up.
Probably got a major ultimatum: turn him in or you go to prison. She’s probably not as well connected so there would be no hope for her
So I guess Caroline (Harry Potter fan) will not be arrested for snitching?
Wouldn't that make her... the Golden Snitch?

@@dontreadmyprofilepicture270 I oblige
His videos remind me to touch grass or become like him.
SBF is in a constant visual state of awkwardness. It’s like every photo taken of him he just doesn’t want to be there
I feel/hope that the length of time from the collapse to the arrest was probably just authorities making sure they had a rock-solid case before arresting him.
