16$ incylinder pressure transducer unbelievable clean and detailed waveform with HS502 & Pico2204A

- in this video we introduce cheap pressure transducer for in-cylinder pressure waveform. i found this transducer in the Aliexpress store and it was around 16$. but it gave us best quality, clean and detailed waveform for incylinder pressure analysis. unbelievable, it is not like other cheap ebay pressure transducers.
but this transducer throw a good results with 12bit vertical resolution supported oscilloscope. therefore do not buy this transducer if you are using 8bit resolution oscilloscope like Hantek. however invest your money on this transducer will be your own risk.
i only brought here my personal experience with this pressure transducer using HS502 and Pico 2204A oscilloscope.

I got the pressure transducer but I need the adapters to use it with my flexible compression gauge hose similar to what you have there, to do a quick connect and disconnect from the pressure transducer. any suggestion?

Nice video! Is the pressure transducer going via hose to the spark plug hole? How is the vehicle ignition working for that cylinder?
Yes used a compression gauge hose. Ignition coil is isolated.
@@ravifixall So you were not getting waveform while that cylinder was running? Because you had no spark. I was just wondering if this sensor could be used on a running cylinder (with fuel and combustion).
@@2gnospam injector on that cylinder is disconnected and ignition coil isolated. Then no problem.
Hello, i have a Hantek 1008c which claims to be 12 bit. Would this give an acceptable pattern on it in your opinion? I know i need a Pico but learning alot wirh the Hantek and a 1 channel uScope. The Pico sure cleans the inage up though. Thank you
Sorry, I have no experience on 1008C. However
I know Hantek pc base software is not capable to optimize its hardware. Try it with Hscope.

Yes the link is right. When you are in, choose the right presure range from the list accordingly your need.

What pressure transducer can I use with a hentak 6074be oscilloscope?

Do you believe that these Oscilloscope's frimwares & adjacent hardwares could measure the peak pressure of a runing engine say around 5000RPM i.e, if u adapt this setup in the glow plug hole of a diesel engine and run it on road or on an dyno🤔
No problem, if you have a capable pressure transducer it will mesure any pressure and oscilloscope will visualize it. Pressure transducer grab the pressure and send output voltage just around 0.5mV to Max 5V.
I have that one, so, what do you have your filter set to.....because it isn't that good.
You get only perfect waveform with 12 bit vertical resolution supported oscilloscope.
And use 1kHz low pass filter

This is not a absolute pressure transducer. But it read vacuum and give us a good waveform on incylinder pressure test. I use it always. Have good result with 12bit vertical resolution supported oscilloscope. Do not buy it for 8bit resolution oscilloscope.
Please note: also has 2ms response delay.
