The new cloth looks amazing! I remember pulling staples when I helped do the rails on mine and thought dear lord how many staples are really needed lol. Table looks great!

Removing all the staples looked miserable, even at speed. Excellent result, I can't wait to see your next game. Thanks for sharing.

Very interesting. I put my table together myself not too long ago, so I went through a lot of this recently. I had no idea how they were put together before that, so it was definitely a learning experience.

Small block of wood 3inch long 2inch wide 2inch tall covered in cloth and long needle nose pliers those staples pop out like butter after being pryed up.😮

Having the whole top come off makes it so easy. Mine is a bar box Irving King.

Loved it. Wondering how long it took to complete and roughly what was the cost? Thanks Chris

I love how easier it is to change cloth on. other tables you'd have lift out the slate to do so.

Definitely the rails are the important part of the process. Many people take that step without paying close attention.

Sweet! Now is the time to get that hundo - while the cloth is still new and slippy.

My guy used 3M Super 77. He normally uses RKC glue, which is a roll on type instead of a spray on, but he's been waiting months for it to become back in stock.

Hey Chris what is the stuff he put on the pockets? I just put simonis on my table and the pockets were the hardest part lol wish I knew about that stuff when i did mine.

Is the cloth tight? I was lucky to have Ernesto Dominguez install my table and he pulled on the cloth (Simonis 860 HR) with clamps prior to stapling. I thought the cloth would rip but the cloth is very strong

The new cloth is playing great at the moment. It's quicker and slicker than I'm used to 😜

Did the table need to be re-levelled? When doing my own cloth that is the perfect time to get it done (not a diamond table). Does the diamond levelling system stay level longer?

why did you not replace the rails as long as you were this deep into it?

  • @theshop4022
    @theshop4022 9 месяцев назад +2

Did the cloth come loose due to the use of spray glue? that stuff is trash. at least he didn't really stretch it very tight.

I have a carbon fiber shaft, which doesn't get dirty like a wooden shaft. So periodically I just wipe it down with a microfiber towel.

My question is what body part did you give to get Simonis? If it's not Simonis, what are you using? It's out of stock everywhere.

Terrible!! NEVER EVER USE SPRAY FOR THE BED!!! You’ll lose tension after a few months, then you’ve got all that build up. Further, the reliefs cuts on pocket drops are going to let loose.
    I got a good chuckle watching this… on your 3pc 30mm slate 8’ ProAm

My buddy that did the work says he pulls the cloth 100%, but then backs off to about 95% to keep a consistent stretch.

@@LilChrisPoolPlayer does it play pretty quick. I had mine refelted and it seems a tad slow for 860. Its stretched enough that I can't pinch it at all but did you find that you had to stretch yours a crazy amount
