Good catch! It's a bit fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure there are trolley wires on the left, so the picture would predate their removal in 1972. Also, the first picture says "Mid-1960s", but it's more likely the mid- to late-1970s. The building just left of centre is the Richardson Building, which opened in 1969. Also, there are no trolley wires, which were removed in 1972. Also, photographer, George Penner, is credited with a west-facing shot of Eaton's in 1972 with the hanging red lights, but the bottom portions of the curly-cues have not yet been added. So the first picture in this video must be post-1972. The picture of The Bay at 0:36 says 1950s, but on another site, it has a credit for 1961. Also, the green car with the round tail lights looks a lot like a 1960 Ford Falcon. No date is offered for the photo at 1:21, but it will be between 1971 when the Winnipeg Inn opened and 1980, before the hotel was rebranded The Westin in 1981. I love this video! Great memories.
@ 0:06 (seconds) That looks like Vaughan @ Graham ... No way is it Portage Ave. Too small of a street to be. It's also before the Hudson's Bay Company had the overhanging canopy around the first floor over the sidewalk. Cool anyways. Nice. Jason says Hi to all.
Quibble: pic at 1:01 of Eaton’s is labelled 1950s, but Maple Leaf flag makes it 1965 or later.

Frost shields on car windows!! :)
Why bother to show Christmas scenes from old if the music is too depressing to continue?
