Girl. My panic and depression experience has been SO MUCH WORSE at the end of this month. I hope you’re feeling better after your appointment. Medical anxiety is the worst thing.
I had one of the worst panic attacks in a long time this same week. Came from your November video....I started therapy and that really helped me out, and seeing how positive you have been recently (I know its really hard) ... would love to hear an update and hope you're feeling better 😊
Oh no I’m so sorry to hear that but I’m so glad therapy has been helpful!! I’m definitely doing better/feeling better, just struggle a bit with health anxiety every time I’m sick (I don’t know why because I never have before) so trying to work that out and ground myself when that does happen!
Congratulations on your job!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 WooHoo!!! You Go Girl!!! Please Pray for me you all, I have 3 months left to find a job because my unemployment will run out. Please Pray Trisha, me gets a job!!! Who else is job hunting and feel stressed...???😢😢😢
I had a very similar experience in 2021 after my first month of teaching. I didn’t feel particularly stressed or anxious, but subconsciously something was going on and caused the most intense panic attack. I ended up calling 911 on myself and the paramedics did my EKG which came back normal, but my BP was almost 200 on the top. That was honestly the kick in the butt I needed to really take control of my mental health and I have been in a much better place since! It’s truly crazy how our body responds to our brain’s impulses. Sending good vibes your way! ❤
You’re not alone. I’ve had my worst panic/anxiety when I don’t think my stress has been “as bad as it’s been before.” Also, when you said, Tale of Despereaux… it went straight to my feels. One of my faves from when I was a kid! Adding this book to my list!!
Congrats on the job offers!! I hope one of them works out for you :). Also the medical and symptom anxiety is so valid tho! It can be so stressful but listening to ur body is so important. If you feel like you need to go to the doctor then def go and u dont have to feel guilty about it. Love u!!!
I had a similar experience with physical anxiety at night time. I felt like I was dying but knew it wasn’t intense enough for the ER. Ended up being a manifestation of anxiety and now I have panic attacks, fun lol. I’ll just mention that the attacks happened after the stressful event was “over”. Sometimes our body’s reaction is delayed? Food for thought! Hope you continue to feel better!
I came here to say this! I just went through one of the most stressful months of my entire life around June/July and it wasn’t until around September when my anxiety became SO bad it was debilitating. I usually don’t have many physical symptoms of anxiety since starting anxiety meds but September I felt like I was having a heart attack every day and my mind was in a constant fog. The delay in physical symptoms is definitely real.
So true!! I had a super stressful few months and I experienced some pressure in my chest the following month and I 100% think it could have been due to the past few months of anxiety.
I hope all of yall are doing /feeling better!!! I think that’s what it was for me too. So crazy how our bodies differently process and react to anxiety & how much of an impact it can have after stressful events!!
That’s awesome that you’re meeting with people that are on your level at the company. My company only ever does interviews with higher ups. I wish I had met with people I’d actually be working with and I everything I don’t think I would’ve chosen this role if I had.
Ugh I’m sorry to hear that! I hope it gets better or that you can find something more in alignment with what you want. It’s definitely hard when you only get a glimpse into the culture from interviews but you just have to trust your gut!
I hope the Prozac is helpful for you! Starting lexapro was so helpful not only in my general anxiety when no anxiety was needed, but also with mediating those hopeless feeling before and during my period. It was as if I was floundering in the ocean but once my body adjusted to lexapro I realized I could stand up in the water lmao .. like everything’s actually fine🧍♀️
Thank you!! The hopeless feeling is SO dark and daunting, literally wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy & it just makes me totally shut down. That’s such a good way to put how helpful it can be!!! And I’m so glad it’s been helpful for you ❤️
Funny story: When I left my corporate finance job in the auto industry, I got an interview for my current role in corporate finance in the aerospace industry. I was TERRIFIED of my dogs barking or distracting me during my interview with my now boss. Well my fear came to life when my dog walked right behind me, breaking my blurred background, and whining for attention. My boss thought it was hilarious and two days later I got my offer. Never been happier in a corporate role. I guess you just have to trust the process LOL
Omgggg no way 😭😂 that sounds like a great boss & im so glad it worked out for you!! I def think we make it a bigger deal than it needs to be esp in such a virtual world
I had the exact same experience about a month ago! My health anxiety had been getting worse (especially at night!) and so when I started to feel like a pressure feeling in my chest, obviously I started to assume the worst. Funny thing is since going to get it checked and them confirming my heart looks fine, that feeling has pretty much gone. Makes me think it was mainly anxiety or at least anxiety making it worse. Doctor said theres lots of reasons people get some chest pain, doesn’t have to be anything sinister. Hopefully it helps knowing you’re not the only one who experiences it!❤️
Ugh YES once they confirmed my EKG was normal, the symptoms literally went away. I’ve found that any time I’m not feeling 100% or just slightly sick lately that my brain is (very unkindly) automatically going to worst case scenario and then the anxiety from that makes my body react and just freak out from anxiety. This is 26/almost 27 I guess 🥲 but good to know that it isn’t always worse case scenario for sure lol. appreciate you sharing ❤️
Congratulations on your job offers! 🎉. Question…How do you feel like this waiting period of finding a job has shaped you as a person. Do you feel like you grew or learned something about yourself?! Plus, those Sweet Loren cookies were disappointing. I like the chocolate chunk and sugar better. I also tried the brownie; don’t recommend LOL
Thank you! Omg yes, it has been such an interesting time! I have learned that the grass isn’t always greener - I think deep down I’ve always wanted to do this full time but haven’t let myself believe it was possible (which maybe holds me back in ways), but I’ve learned that it’s VERY emotionally draining like some normal jobs can be & not as fulfilling as it once was due to the way social media has changed so much over the years - it’s hard to make it a full time thing if you don’t make yourself a walking ad 24/7 & push products across all platforms like crazy which just feels so inauthentic to me since I only try to share about things I love here and there. & also it’s stressful not having benefits that you get from a full time job and having a super inconsistent income, & there’s a pressure to always be on/posting things even when on vacation etc & it makes it hard to be present sometimes. Maybe one day I can do it full time if I have another gig going on or if Griffin makes enough to where I don’t need a true full time job lol. I’ve grown a lot though in learning how to actually rest & slow down which was much needed & I think it’ll be helpful going into my next job. & ugh, I loved the cookies!! I want to try the gingerbread ones sooo bad now though. I do like the chocolate chunk though too!
I think my favorite thing about you abby is when you're deep in a sentence and then all of sudden cut to the next scene 😂 I'm always like wait was she gonna say!!
congrats on the job offer! Im looking for a new job too im also a CPA in tax but hoping to move out of public accounting . interviews give me insane anxiety but seeing u get through it helps
Thank you!! Trust me, they’ll get better as you keep doing them. I never fully got over the anxiousness they gave me but I got better and better about dealing with it as I completed more and more interviews! You got this!
If you’re able to, it may be worth getting blood work done, specifically for your thyroid. I had a very similar thing happen when I was in college. One of the thyroid hormones was 4 times the typical amount. It essentially caused a physical panic attack, not induced by any emotional triggers or stressors. I’m not a healthcare professional in any way; that’s just what happened with me that sounds similar to your experience.
Reading TOG for the first time, reading Assassin's Blade atm before moving to Heir of Fire! SJM is insane and I am so sad it took me so long to get into her.
Looking gorgeous Abbs! Your curls are perfection! Glad you’re doing okay and that your heart is healthy, that’s scary! I love the new 2025 doodle planners! Is it dated? I have the same brown teddy one you do and I like that it’s not dated because I bought it mid year. I want to get the 2025 one but I’m not done with mine yet 😅
Thank you so much 🥹 yes, the new one is dated! I bet she’ll release an undated one again next year so you could always wait for that to come out again if you want!
Hi another thing! I think I also need to ask about PMDD. I’m curious about them giving you an SSRI to not take daily? I’m already on Prozac and it hasn’t helped much with PMDD. Anyways, interested in this journey for you but also it’s health so private lol
Ugh I’m sorry to hear it hasn’t helped much! She said I can take it daily if I notice it makes a big difference/want to take it daily rather than throughout my luteal phase. You might could ask your doctor about upping your dosage if you’re on a small dosage rn, everyone is different!
have you gotten your flu shot recently? i had a very similar experience and did end up going to the ER - i had a viral lung infection that was impacting my lungs and chest and they told me they are seeing more cases this year due to flu season!
Congratulations on your interviews hope they went well. Hopefully you got to go to the eras tour. If not at least Taylor swift has the concert movie but I know it’s not the same thing as physically going to her tour. I am like that as well with spending money on things like concert tickets but in the end the experience would have been worth it.
Abby, I don’t want to scare you but I am a cardiothoracic ICU nurse & your symptoms could be related to an aortic dissection or aneurysm which they wouldn’t see on an EKG - only on a CT or MRI scan. If the pain comes back, please go to the ER so they can take you straight to CT scan. I wouldn’t comment this unless I thought it was important you knew
Thank you so much for sharing!! I definitely plan on going to a doctor if it happens again to be safe since I don’t think it’s something I should be experiencing on a recurring basis
I wasn’t really trying to preach on minimalism & was more so just trying to put the reminder out there that just bc I show things doesn’t mean you need to get them! doing ads is a part of my job at the moment as this is what I currently do for a living between jobs. & I always try to be very selective about the brands I do work with & trust that my audience has the discretion to purchase it if they think it will be useful to them or not. I see how it can come off as ironic though lol but depends on how you perceive things!
The patio cozy night looked so nice and also yay for the job updates 🥹 watching this after knowing you went to eras in nola I also have such a hard time paying for something over like $100 in one sitting so I totally relate that is my downfall w concerts😂
It was so cozy!!! glad you understand hahaha it’s SO hard but I try to remind myself that it’s paying for memories and an experience which is much more special to me than material things anyways :’)
Girl. My panic and depression experience has been SO MUCH WORSE at the end of this month. I hope you’re feeling better after your appointment. Medical anxiety is the worst thing.
Thank you so much, it really is. Take care of yourself & sending love!! ❤️

Omggggg that is so scary… I’m so glad you listened to your body. Hope you are doing better now ❤️ Thank you!
I’m so glad to come here and feel less alone about healthy anxiety ❤ I hope you and everyone on here feels well and experiences peace soon!
Thank you, same to you ❤️
You’re not alone. I’ve had my worst panic/anxiety when I don’t think my stress has been “as bad as it’s been before.” Also, when you said, Tale of Despereaux… it went straight to my feels. One of my faves from when I was a kid! Adding this book to my list!!
It was such an amazing book!! And it’s so odd how it works and manifests itself in our bodies
@ it’s INSANE! But I hope you’ve found some peace. 🥰
You mentioning “the tale of despereaux” Unlocked a memory!! Why was I obsessed with that book and the fancy edges as a kid!!
Right!!! It was SUCH a good book
Honestly you have been one of the most beautiful people I've met on RUclips this year 💖 😊
Congrats on the job offers!! I hope one of them works out for you :). Also the medical and symptom anxiety is so valid tho! It can be so stressful but listening to ur body is so important. If you feel like you need to go to the doctor then def go and u dont have to feel guilty about it. Love u!!!
Yes definitely!!! ILY too, thank you! ❤️
The book of doors is such a good pick for a book club. 😊
I wish I would’ve picked it when I hosted in October 😭😭 haha I’ll have to next time I host maybe!!

actually the chest pain and numbness is primarily in men, women is more likely GI symptoms idky just an observation. but yes its panic attacks

It is from wrangler, but I bought it after renting it on nuuly :)
have you gotten your flu shot recently? i had a very similar experience and did end up going to the ER - i had a viral lung infection that was impacting my lungs and chest and they told me they are seeing more cases this year due to flu season!

Definitely talk to your doctor about it!
Its most likely a panic attack that's exactly how mine sound. N i had multiple ekgs n catscans
That’s what I figured! So scary
💛💛💛💛💛
The irony of preaching minimalism and saying you don't need to buy boots but then doing a sponsored ad the next moment lol
