Did my first Pulled Pork Butt over Thanksgiving. Nobody complained butt the flavor profile needed some coaxing. I've watched many YT vids on the subject and only saw one other that "scored" the Fat Cap. I did and liked the extra Bark surface it provides. The other thing I did that's worth repeating was to add a half stick of Butter to the injection, only warming it enough to melt the butter. All prep was allowed an overnite in the fridge and thwn Smoked @ 240° w/ a blend of Pecan & Apple pellets. My homebrew injection needed salt butt made for some Very juicy pork. Good Show & Well Done !
I am a very, very proud southern. You remind of a good ole southern girl! Im going to try Dr Pepper in my smoker. Think I'll inject some of ot into the roast also. Great video.

Great cooking method. I usually use apple juice and apple wood and always start with mustard. Only thing is, if your going to do one butt, might as well do two or more at the same time. It freezes well 👍🏼
Wait, you have a newborn and you're doing these videos? Not saying anything negative, I'm just impressed! I have a few toddlers myself and there is no way I'd have the motivation to do youtube even barely part time. Also, I've never thought to cut the meat for more smokeable (apparently that is a word?) surface area.
Another outstanding video Mazie. What brand of pellets do you like best? Does it really matter? Are there quality and flavor differences in the different brands?

Personally some of my best cooks are the ones I do the least work. I have a Brunswick shipping in soon and watching all the videos I can because I'm excited. On my small pellet grill I just thew it on at midnight seasoned at around 180f and at 12pm I'd check the temp and usually needs another few hours. I can pretty easily get it on the table by dinner time with rest time if the cook went smoothly. No wrap, no spray but I do use a smoke tube at least once at the beginning and later if I feel up to it. I like my BBQ to be crispy and crunchy on the outside and juicy and a touch on the dryer side and use the carolina sauce (apple cider cinegar and brown sugar, etc) to make up for any lacking liquid. I just hate loading a bbq sandwich and ending up with a soggy piece of bread.

I ordered mine on January as a birthday gift for myself for March it showed up extremely damage I sent it back they said they never got it fixed the problem after four weeks ended up getting an Xbox series x going to get another one in A couple months hopefully it doesn’t come damage

Pull and repan or vacuum seal. Can reheat in oven or stove top in vacuum bag.
