  • It may be difficult to know where to start or how to build an exercise program after spinal cord injury (SCI). Blood pressure and heart rate are typically lower in people with SCI so they don't always provide accurate measures of how hard someone is exercising. Working with medical and fitness professionals is a good place to start. As well, using the Rate of Perceived Exertion scale can help with knowing how hard to work.

Excellent vid! My husband has recently been paralyzed due to a crush injury and is still in the hospital healing and awaiting discharge (hopefully to either Kessler or Shepherd). For a spinal injury patient, it is so nice for him to see there is light at the end of the tunnel!

So you want to baby people instead of pushing people. I don’t care if they have a spinal cord injury or not you don’t baby people you push them to make them better. So you’re doing injustice to these people that have spinal cord injuries. My girlfriend was in a terrible car accident she’s quadriplegic and I will never baby her because if I baby her she will never move forward and that’s how you’re treating these people that have spinal cord injuries you baby them they don’t move forward you push them they move and live

@@CombatGuy98 you're an asshat 👍 I'm currently recovering from spinal cord injury, high speed crash and I'm so glad no one acts as if I'm fragile, it'd hold me back and slow down my recovery.
      you need to stfu 👍

@Pam Rolls By you know that stokes are permanent right? I hope you are not make excuse for Fetterman. For your information I am honest with her about everything. About what the doctors told me to about how she acts and how I stand back and watch her. SO pam take your abuse bullshit which you were trying to go down with and put it in butt and go to the bathroom. I am brutally honest with everyone if you cannot take it I dont care
