So this is the story i find kinda cool: Fairies are born from a childs first laugh and die when they stop believing. In modern times children believe less and less and more and more fairies disappeared. I can imagine Tinkerbell got the idea that maybe if the fairies took children to Neverland they wouldnt stop believing so the fairies won't die. Thats why the lost boys are there. I could imagine Peter is the child that Tinkerbell was born from so she is extra protective of him. Wendy is a rather mature girl so likely Tinkerbell got scared she'd convince Peter to leave leading to her own death so she resents Wendy.

Its so funny how the movies changed all the books lore, cuz in the books,Tink meet Peter after saving him from a shark (he was trying to steal the shark tooth), and years later she leaves him cuz she thought he taked her from granted. There’s actually a small lore example for this, we learn (forget where) that a fairy will die if their human that created them dies. So it’s possible Peter Pan is this human to tinker bell and that’s why she brought him to never land. So she wouldn’t die like her friends. We don’t know how old her friends are but it’s also possible their humans died early. This is if you really want to connect the personalities I’m almost positive that it came from the original Peter Pan book. I’m pretty sure it’s also not if the human dies but forgets about wonder, aka grow up. But I think dying would have the same effect if they always believed possibly…or maybe ghosts believing counts…yeah let’s get out of this worm hole Edit: this got more attention then I thought, this was just a fun idea I had I don’t know how it would truly work. I thought I read some where that Tink in the Peter Pan movie was in love with Peter, and she disliked Wendy so much because she was jealous. But I have no idea if my brain made up that fact or if I really did see it somewhere.

That was always my theory. And she returned to find all the other fairies dead. Later she meets Peter and sees his resemblance to Terrance and becomes attached to him because he's like a piece of home and everything she lost. But as dark as Disney gets there's no way they're going to make it cannon. Hint and keep the idea alive yes, but not straight up make the final Tinkerbell movie like that.
There are books and comics that Disney made before the Pixie Hallow movie that take place after the events in Peter Pan. Also you can assume that Tinkerbell had an extreme crush on Peter Pan, and as they say love can blind you.

And i think Tink knew that if Wendy brought Peter to her home and the other lost boys, her and her fairy friends would die, because bringing Peter and the lost boys to Wendys world, would later make them think faries arent real and kill them off, one by one.

Honestly I prefer the Tinker Bell her own movies version then the original movie of Peter Pan. I do loved her curiosity, joyful, collected lost things, create something great, and especially not jealous but sometimes she can be little tempted when she turns red. And that her story and the other fairies orgins about how they were born when the babies first laughed, and that they actually changed the seasons, and brings the balance to the world. And most of them are very different types of Fairies.

One simple answer, she fell in love with Peter Pan and wanted to keep him safe from everyone including other girls love to pull him out of neverland which she couldn’t have happen. Also it seems like she no longer works under the fairies and has her own unlimited supply of the fairy dust for herself to fly with and give to Peter Pan even. She’s overloaded with it so she is very self sufficient from her fairy kin. I’m gonna guess a lot of heart breaks happened when she obsessed with Peter and the other fairies were worried for her destroying their relationships or maybe we just don’t see the other fairies but Tinker Bell is still buddies with all of them! ❤
The Tinkerbell movies don't actually take place that long before the events of Peter Pan. In the first movie, the music box Tinkerbell fixed and returned turned out to be a slightly younger Wendy. She appears anywhere from 6 to 9 which mean the movie would take place 3 to 7 years before Peter Pan as by then Wendy is about 12 to 13. As for the amount of aging Captain Hook experienced within that amount of time, I don't know.
Lydia the Bard came up with a cool story for her Tinkerbell villain song, where Tinkerbell’s friends are dying because too many children have stopped believing in fairies so she needs the lost boys to stay in Neverland because then they’ll always have a group of kids to believe in Fairies and keep them alive, but she hates Wendy because she sees Wendy as a threat who could tempt all the children away from Neverland and back to the mainland to grow up and stop believing
My theory: A fairy is born from a baby’s first laugh (in the 1st movie) and when the child stops believing in magic, the fairy essentially dies. My theory is that tinker bell found a way to live forever after her friends started to die, the reason there’s a time skip is that the children also have to grow up and eventually stop believing, so when the Peter Pan movie came out. It’s when Tinkerbells friends are all dead, hence why she’s alone. But you may be asking, why’s she so mad at Wendy for no reason and why is Peter and the lost boys even there? Well, at the beginning we know fairy’s are born from a child’s first laugh, what I think is that tinkerbell was born from peters first laugh. Hence why she so protective over him, and in the Peter Pan movie, Peter essentially wants to run away with Wendy. That puts tinkerbell at risk to die, cause she won’t be there to remind him of fairy’s existence or of magic. So she tries all these attempts to kill her, scared of what might happen if she lets Peter run away with Wendy. Now that would explain why Peter is there, but why the lost boys? There are 6 lost boys, and conveniently tinker has 6 friends (Fawn,Rosetta,silvermist,iradessa,vidia, and her sister periwinkle). That voids the idea her friends are dead, but maybe the lost boys are there because those are the kids that birthed all her friends :) so that explain it. So either her friends are dead or there alive, so after people started to die in pixie hollow, she created this plan and went through with it. Either taking her friends with her or, her friends are dead, and wanted to be immortal with the fear of dieing.
That young, (hot), version of Captain Hook, is voice beyond none other than the God of Mischief himself, Thomas fricking HIDDLESTON!! Did not know that until a few years ago, and when I discovered this information, I SCREAMED!!
Something to point out though is that, Tinkerbell is actually not alone in the Peter Pan cannon. She just doesn't live with the other fairies. This is proven with the books [The Disney Fairies] which takes place after she meets Peter Pan. Unlike the movies that takes place before. The traits she displays [Short temper, jealousy, stubborness and deceitfulness] are trait that she was shown to have in the movies, although in the movies most of them were her strength rather than weaknesses. So the full timeline is: Tinkerbell Movies -> Peter Pan -> Disney Fairies Books -> The Neverland Pirates
What I think happened is she didn't wanna lose the lost boys that's why she acted like that she already lost her friends and was left alone so she just didn't wanna be alone again and she knew if Wendy was there everyone would love Wendy and ignore her 😅
First off she's no longer in pixie Hollow. She's stuck in Wonderland with the lost boys and she's head over heels and love with Peter, which would make her a jealous nightmare. She's got a codependent attachment because she's used to a very large family and sees has someone who is trying to dismantle it.

Something else to consider: J.M. Barrie said Tinkerbell was so small that she only had enough space within herself for one emotion at a time. Disney had to change that because that really does make her one dimensional, which can make for poor main characters/role models for children. I miss the pixie hollow games though.
This is my ✨️odd✨️ theory abt why she turned mean. So when all of her and her friends were in the village a young looking boy, ( peter pan ) was in the center of the village. He requested a fairy to come with him and help him. Not wanting her friends to get hurt, Tinkerbell went up to volunteer. After Peter took Tinkerbell, he told her to keep anybody away from him, which is why she acted the way she did. Peter tricked her into acting this way to make her feel bad. There is another theory i have. Maybe that version of Hook wasnt Hook at all. Rather, a son or nephew, and they inherited the hat from him. He just so happened to meet Smee, which couldve been the original Hook sending him out ro meet his son/nephew. These are just theories so dont take them too seriously. I just dont want Tink to be miserable :/

Theres a theory i heard about Tinker Bell that when Peter was a baby it was HIS laugh that made Tink come to life. And once a human dies, the fairy that was created along with that humans laugh as a child, dies too. I think if this theory was accurate, Tinker Bell would’ve been horrified of the idea that Wendy would take Peter away to the mainland to live as a mortal.

I did a play of Peter Pan and it took off like part of a story which actually makes a lot of sense because any child that says I do not believe in fairies fairy collapse and dies what really happens is a freeze like the crystal up and they die so it’s really sad to think about because they actually were Tinker Bell‘s friends that died so even the elves had a different type of story Actually were in there those are the pixies which the pixies have been a different story so the pixies have kind of like the same thing but instead of fries still say, I don’t believe in pixies so then they die so then that’s why she was against humans because she thought that Wendy would say I don’t believe in fairies and all that kind of crap butshe didn’t that’s why she hated her a lot because she thought that she was also she was taking Peter Pan away from Tinker Bell. That’s what Tinker Bell thought so that’s how her friends ended up dying and she became so hateful and depressed.
There is a deep story behind all of this. It was said that Peter Pan, is the baby that birthed Tinkerbell, given that all fairies are born from a babies first laugh. In the Peter Pan movies you can see that NeverLand looks alot like the world the fairies live in. When you zoom out. It was said that the lost boys were meant to be the children that are connected to specific fairies.. In Peter Pan they talk about tinks light going out because they don't believe in here.. IT's said that Tinkerbell and the other fairies brought the kids to Neverland so they wouldn't grow older and thus cause the fairies to vanish.. Which leads to Wendy wanting to take Peter and the other lost boys away... thus causing Tink to lose her light and the other fairies to perish.. So it makes sense why Tink wouldn't like Wendy.. and would see her as a threat.
Never cruel or jealous? I wouldn't say that. Tinkerbell was super jealous of her friends and did everything in her power to get what she wants - most of the time by bending the rules to her needs (and most of the time others were harmed in the process).

In a scene where tinker bell and her sister wandered in winter, she talks about peter and about how peter made her the fairy house. So, how you gotta explain that?
I'm going to paraphrase, because i can't be bothered finding my copy of the book, but Barrie's version of fairies are described as having the same balance of "good" and "bad" as humans do, but because they are so small, they can only switch between being all "bad" or all "good". Tinkbell becomes so jealous of wendy she flips to "bad" then is later flipped back to "good". Also included in the original book are some other fairies who are on their way home from an orgy. I always found that very funny. Also the depictions are so different because they wanted to make money off the franchise and changed the character to accommodate that. (Edit, because i just re-read my comment and i don't want to sound harsh. I'm not saying the tinkerbell movies aren't good, I'm just saying they don't take place in the exact same universe as the previous movie)

I think her character stems from the books honestly. My I think her character stems from the books honestly. My favorite character detail given about her in the book is her size. She said to be so small that she could only harbor one emotion at a time. Was this in mind it would make sense why she was such a girl's girl while she's in her posse because that is the emotion she's able to display and share however spending time with Peter and being one-on-one with Peter and then having to share Peter would create a jealous emotion. Meaning there would be no space for empathy or compassion towards Wendy or anybody outside of what she's currently feeling which is losing her best friend. It is interesting to think about where all the other fairies went, I wonder if the other lost boys learned about how fairies die by seeing it in action (admitting that they don't believe in fairies and seeing the fairies die around them)
Okay she wasn’t as bad as Peter Pan, but she was not a perfect little princess either, she broke rules and she caused a lot of pain and damage in her movies

I do loved her curiosity, joyful, collected lost things, create something great, and especially not jealous but sometimes she can be little tempted when she turns red. And that her story and the other fairies orgins about how they were born when the babies first laughed, and that they actually changed the seasons, and brings the balance to the world. And most of them are very different types of Fairies.
my fav theory is that peter is the child with the laugh that birthed tink and the children who stop believing lose their fairies which would explain why tink is alone (bc the other fairies died due to disbelief from human children) and why she’s attached to peter (he leaves neverland with wendy = tink dies sooner or later). the theory is just so clever 🥰
One simple answer, she fell in love with Peter Pan and wanted to keep him safe from everyone including other girls love to pull him out of neverland which she couldn’t have happen. Also it seems like she no longer works under the fairies and has her own unlimited supply of the fairy dust for herself to fly with and give to Peter Pan even. She’s overloaded with it so she is very self sufficient from her fairy kin. I’m gonna guess a lot of heart breaks happened when she obsessed with Peter and the other fairies were worried for her destroying their relationships or maybe we just don’t see the other fairies but Tinker Bell is still buddies with all of them! ❤

The Tinkerbell movies don't actually take place that long before the events of Peter Pan. In the first movie, the music box Tinkerbell fixed and returned turned out to be a slightly younger Wendy. She appears anywhere from 6 to 9 which mean the movie would take place 3 to 7 years before Peter Pan as by then Wendy is about 12 to 13. As for the amount of aging Captain Hook experienced within that amount of time, I don't know.

Lydia the Bard came up with a cool story for her Tinkerbell villain song, where Tinkerbell’s friends are dying because too many children have stopped believing in fairies so she needs the lost boys to stay in Neverland because then they’ll always have a group of kids to believe in Fairies and keep them alive, but she hates Wendy because she sees Wendy as a threat who could tempt all the children away from Neverland and back to the mainland to grow up and stop believing
My theory: A fairy is born from a baby’s first laugh (in the 1st movie) and when the child stops believing in magic, the fairy essentially dies. My theory is that tinker bell found a way to live forever after her friends started to die, the reason there’s a time skip is that the children also have to grow up and eventually stop believing, so when the Peter Pan movie came out. It’s when Tinkerbells friends are all dead, hence why she’s alone. But you may be asking, why’s she so mad at Wendy for no reason and why is Peter and the lost boys even there? Well, at the beginning we know fairy’s are born from a child’s first laugh, what I think is that tinkerbell was born from peters first laugh. Hence why she so protective over him, and in the Peter Pan movie, Peter essentially wants to run away with Wendy. That puts tinkerbell at risk to die, cause she won’t be there to remind him of fairy’s existence or of magic. So she tries all these attempts to kill her, scared of what might happen if she lets Peter run away with Wendy. Now that would explain why Peter is there, but why the lost boys? There are 6 lost boys, and conveniently tinker has 6 friends (Fawn,Rosetta,silvermist,iradessa,vidia, and her sister periwinkle). That voids the idea her friends are dead, but maybe the lost boys are there because those are the kids that birthed all her friends :) so that explain it. So either her friends are dead or there alive, so after people started to die in pixie hollow, she created this plan and went through with it. Either taking her friends with her or, her friends are dead, and wanted to be immortal with the fear of dieing.

Something to point out though is that, Tinkerbell is actually not alone in the Peter Pan cannon. She just doesn't live with the other fairies.
This is proven with the books [The Disney Fairies] which takes place after she meets Peter Pan. Unlike the movies that takes place before. The traits she displays [Short temper, jealousy, stubborness and deceitfulness] are trait that she was shown to have in the movies, although in the movies most of them were her strength rather than weaknesses.
So the full timeline is:
Tinkerbell Movies -> Peter Pan -> Disney Fairies Books -> The Neverland Pirates

First off she's no longer in pixie Hollow. She's stuck in Wonderland with the lost boys and she's head over heels and love with Peter, which would make her a jealous nightmare. She's got a codependent attachment because she's used to a very large family and sees has someone who is trying to dismantle it.

Something else to consider: J.M. Barrie said Tinkerbell was so small that she only had enough space within herself for one emotion at a time. Disney had to change that because that really does make her one dimensional, which can make for poor main characters/role models for children. I miss the pixie hollow games though.
This is my ✨️odd✨️ theory abt why she turned mean. So when all of her and her friends were in the village a young looking boy, ( peter pan ) was in the center of the village. He requested a fairy to come with him and help him. Not wanting her friends to get hurt, Tinkerbell went up to volunteer. After Peter took Tinkerbell, he told her to keep anybody away from him, which is why she acted the way she did. Peter tricked her into acting this way to make her feel bad. There is another theory i have. Maybe that version of Hook wasnt Hook at all. Rather, a son or nephew, and they inherited the hat from him. He just so happened to meet Smee, which couldve been the original Hook sending him out ro meet his son/nephew. These are just theories so dont take them too seriously. I just dont want Tink to be miserable :/

My theory is the pirate fairy lead all of Capitan hooks crew to the faith villages and captain hook used their power until they all ran out of fairy dust and tinker bell managed to escape found Peter and they tried to save the faires but it was to late and now tinker bell is protective of her close ones even more and does anything to stop from getting them and herself attached to other people because that's what got her friends and family killed

To explain this jump: take a long good look at the movie Hook, where it explains that tinker bell fell in love with Peter Pan, I’m going to jump the gin and say, she found him(?), took him to Neverland(?), fell for him, stuck with him, and never got over him.
I think these are just separate continuities, just like those pirates' show. Maybe in her own continuity she might even have never met Peter.

Theres a theory i heard about Tinker Bell that when Peter was a baby it was HIS laugh that made Tink come to life. And once a human dies, the fairy that was created along with that humans laugh as a child, dies too. I think if this theory was accurate, Tinker Bell would’ve been horrified of the idea that Wendy would take Peter away to the mainland to live as a mortal.

I did a play of Peter Pan and it took off like part of a story which actually makes a lot of sense because any child that says I do not believe in fairies fairy collapse and dies what really happens is a freeze like the crystal up and they die so it’s really sad to think about because they actually were Tinker Bell‘s friends that died so even the elves had a different type of story Actually were in there those are the pixies which the pixies have been a different story so the pixies have kind of like the same thing but instead of fries still say, I don’t believe in pixies so then they die so then that’s why she was against humans because she thought that Wendy would say I don’t believe in fairies and all that kind of crap butshe didn’t that’s why she hated her a lot because she thought that she was also she was taking Peter Pan away from Tinker Bell. That’s what Tinker Bell thought so that’s how her friends ended up dying and she became so hateful and depressed.

There is a deep story behind all of this.
It was said that Peter Pan, is the baby that birthed Tinkerbell, given that all fairies are born from a babies first laugh.
In the Peter Pan movies you can see that NeverLand looks alot like the world the fairies live in. When you zoom out.
It was said that the lost boys were meant to be the children that are connected to specific fairies.. In Peter Pan they talk about tinks light going out because they don't believe in here.. IT's said that Tinkerbell and the other fairies brought the kids to Neverland so they wouldn't grow older and thus cause the fairies to vanish..
Which leads to Wendy wanting to take Peter and the other lost boys away... thus causing Tink to lose her light and the other fairies to perish.. So it makes sense why Tink wouldn't like Wendy.. and would see her as a threat.
All this theories but I haven't seen one that mentions Periwinkle yet (Tink's sister)

Nope gotta argue with that, because in the pirate fairy movie tinker bell already met her sister . Meanwhile there is a movie before that about her and sister Tinker Tinker bell secret of the wings. In a scene where tinker bell and her sister wandered in winter, she talks about peter and about how peter made her the fairy house. So, how you gotta explain that?
I'm going to paraphrase, because i can't be bothered finding my copy of the book, but Barrie's version of fairies are described as having the same balance of "good" and "bad" as humans do, but because they are so small, they can only switch between being all "bad" or all "good". Tinkbell becomes so jealous of wendy she flips to "bad" then is later flipped back to "good".
Also included in the original book are some other fairies who are on their way home from an orgy. I always found that very funny.
Also the depictions are so different because they wanted to make money off the franchise and changed the character to accommodate that.

I think her character stems from the books honestly. My I think her character stems from the books honestly. My favorite character detail given about her in the book is her size. She said to be so small that she could only harbor one emotion at a time. Was this in mind it would make sense why she was such a girl's girl while she's in her posse because that is the emotion she's able to display and share however spending time with Peter and being one-on-one with Peter and then having to share Peter would create a jealous emotion. Meaning there would be no space for empathy or compassion towards Wendy or anybody outside of what she's currently feeling which is losing her best friend. It is interesting to think about where all the other fairies went, I wonder if the other lost boys learned about how fairies die by seeing it in action (admitting that they don't believe in fairies and seeing the fairies die around them)
