I remember my dad always use this kind of setup for stripers, never forget the good times with him. I barely striper fish anymore just bass fishing, I like to catch stripers on top water when hogan start popping off again soon!
My dad and I used to fish for striper all the time but now I usually fish for bass too, I haven't fished for one in 8 years but Im trying to do it again sometime
Great videos!! New to your channel since recently moved to Sacramento, I noticed some of your spots are the same location I've been getting bites at and nice to see there is plenty of fish left!
What pound line do you use. Just starting to learn to fish for striper, watched a lot of videos but do not want to spend hundreds of dollars to do this! just something simple and your video seems to nail simplicity!!!!
But with this heat it’s been tough. The only thing I was able to catch was bass. Biggest one about 2 pounds. Stripers been slow. But Goodluck out there! 😁🎣
@@vinc8ntl8r oh ok thanks for letting me know. At least you caught something lol most of the time i dont even catch anything. I cant even catch bluegills lol
Awesome man...this is SUPER helpful...finally someone sharing some insightful info... Tomorrow (saturday 6/6/2020) high tide is about 7:15 am... What spot is hot right now for striper? How early should we go before high tide? Thanks again bro....
Chris Jr any time that morning should be good. But the stripers have slowed down for me though. But I’m pretty sure that anywhere is good. Goodluck bro 🎣
@@vinc8ntl8r so what would be a good fish to fish for tomorrow morning? I'm taking my kids, want a good experience with them? What about shad at miller park? Sturgeon?
Hey do u think it will be a dum idea if o want to start makeing fishing videos but I dont have a camera or a gopro of some sort so do u think it will be dum if I put my phone on my chest and rap it in duck tape for youtub
I have mostly used swim baits for stripers in the past. Can you please tell me the depth(s) of water that you target stripers in using 1.) the popper 2.) jerkbaits? I was always told the best water to target them is like 10-12 feet, but don’t see them coming up for a popper in that depth??? Also, how deep do you run your jerkbaits? 2-3’? Thanks in advance bro! Appreciate the help 🍻
Most of the time stripers are from 3-14 feet. But you wanna use poppers on the sand bars when it’s usually only 2-6 feet deep. And for my jerkbaits they only go max five 5 feet down. And if they aren’t up shallow I’ll use a deeper diver jerkbait to get to them usually in the middle of the day is best to use that deeper jerkbait. Hopes this helps let me know if u got any more questions.
Thank you, I really appreciate how concise your videos are. They are very helpful for this novice fishing mama.

Thanks! Yup nature provides plenty for everyone but not for enough for everyone's greed.
Very good information without all the flash. Thank you so much!!!!
Thanks for taking the time to put this together.
Aloha Vincent thankful for you video I’m from Hawaii didn’t know anything caught a 35” last year thanks to your video 🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Great job , thanks for taking the time.
Hendi Kaf glad I could help
I put beads because my slider get stuck to my knot
I've seen some trail a rubber worm behind the jerk bait
Do you have a rod recommendation for that first rig? Length, Power, Action, Lure Weight?
Is this a Carolina rig?
Can u use two hooks for striper in sac river?
That is the best rig for stripped bass and catfish honestly, put lugworms or nightcrawlers and boom! Fish magnet
Thinking about going out tommorow, hows the fishing near miller park area?
Shad hitting there
Great video, thanks!

Thanks for line any where from 12-20 pound monofilament or fluorocarbon is fine. Just use what your reel can handle.
Im from the 209 but wanna try out in sac one time. Any spot for bank fishing you willing to share?

I lost a 30 or 40 lb striper 3 years ago without using a bead and that's why I use beads
Dang bro. Well use what works for you. You’ll get them next time
Yea and first time striper fishing and my friend caught one half in inch short
