Amazing fluency in fingering technique. Nice to hear the bass flutes. I love F# and D# in Native American Flute is what I play. NAF is pentatonic scale. Not sure what is Bansuri is in ?. NAF has 6 holes mostly the 3rd from top is always covered. Love the reverb on my F# minor and G# minor. all at 440Hz.

All flutes use overtones for octaves. That being said, you can use some fingering tricks to 'trigger' the overtones. You do need special fingerings for the 'extra high' notes

Smaller flutes are used for higher notes. On same Bansuri, you can go only upto a certain high through fingering techniques. Approx. range is two full octaves.

The reason, most likely, is that the bansuri is too long. Without the lower tuning hole, the pa would be too low. One solution is to cut the bansuri to the right size. The second solution, applied here, is to create another hole below the "pa" hole, which will have the same effect.

I guess these holes can be closed with thigh to achieve lower notes. This is based on what I heard.
