No she doesn't. She's literally the worst correspondent on The Wire. Lifeless and uninspiring narration coupled with unexceptional content. But to each to their own I guess
Impressive find. I wish Indian history was supported by such detailed archaeological excavation. There are 400 sites of Harappa or Saraswati civilization which are awaiting excavation. No government has provided budget for this work.
better make sure that when they do this work they guarantee that the findings are preserved for future generations. And I assure You this costs MUCH more than simply excavate the place.
You have all the info on Historical sites of the world but nobody takes notice of SIMILAR Settlement present here in India. It's SIRPUR in Chhattisgarh. It's a burried city still to be explored which once had its own port on Mahanadi River and exported goods to Sumatra in Indonesia. More than 10000 Buddhist monks studied here. It may be as big as Rakhigarhi but completely ignored by the Historians and Govt.
The first time I actually heard about Pompeii was when I saw the Pink Floyd performance in Pompeii. It was marvellous music and that amphitheatre was so well preserved I thought it was staged. Today I realized, it's not, thank to your episode. Excellent presentation.

Wow!!! This is such a superb piece of information about ancient civilizations. Also, very interesting to see what a combination of science and archeology can deliver us.
There is actually a RUclips channel named "Tasting History with Max Miller". Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/5S7Bb0Qg-oE/видео.html He prepares foods from the ancient period. :D
Considering it's importance and the number of visitors, Pompeii is a pain to reach. Getting to Naples is ok, but the local train to Pompeii from there can be a nightmare. The brakes on ours caught fire because it was overloaded 😆
It's unfortunate that it's in Italy, quite apart from being in an earthquake zone. It's in a sad and shabby state of neglect now and will only deteriorate further.
I heard on some other video that the words on the dog leash said "beware of the dog." Now I'm not sure if that was the owner warning would be thieves or a customer warning others about the owners culinary practices. There was also the remains of an adult dog only 10 inches high, so the beware of the dog sign could've been a lighthearted joke by the owner. So I guess my question is was the proclaimed curse word a separate thing to the beware of dog sign or if it's the same thing then is someone mistaken to its actual meaning?
Frescos of Pompeii are very modern, very much similar to the Renaissance period paintings. Paintings from the medieval era look childish as compared to Pompeii's Frescos. An extremely advanced civilization that we lost.
@Soul of nature The people of the Indus Valley Civilisation in northwest India had a predominantly meat-heavy diet, comprising animals like pigs, cattle, buffalo and sheep, along with dairy products, a study published in Journal of Archaeological Science has shown. There are many references about it recently and also with National museum.

Legends say that the best thing from the stall (thermopolium) was : choco lava cake!!!
Lol
The Romans didn't have chocolate and no lava hit Pompeii.

There are many of these "fast food" stalls in the city, but this is the first one I've seen with the decorations intact.
I forgot what actual news sounded like. Thank you! Happy New Year!
A suggestion to print , try covering ancient indian architecture .

It looks like the place can open up and start selling hot meals with just a bit of cleaning and restocking.
Just fascinating
It's extremely wrong to call it a "fast food stall". It's a street stall or a food stall for travelers etc.
