Is there a way to color black lines ? Similar to how in Photoshop if you Lock the alpha on the line layer you can color over black lines to make them another color.
Yes, in most drawing/animation apps (TVPaint ,Photoshop, etc.) it's called Lock Transparency (aka Lock Alpha) which permits you to color the line (color only on the existing black pixels) . Rough Animator doesn't have an option labeled as Lock Alpha/Lock Transparency as such, but it turns out that it does have the function , but it's called something else: Draws Inside mode. Change the brush drawing mode to “Draws Inside”. This will allow you to color the lines. So, for example if you have animated a red balloon or a red apple , you could change the outlines to a slightly darker red color than the fill color using this method, so you get a softer look to the line than using hard black outlines.
I don't think there are air brushes in Rough Animator. You can try to make your own but I doubt the pressure sensitivity will be as good as something like Photoshop.
Thanks Pat
Glad it was helpful ZED28.
