I personally think that Bill Burr came off like a bit of an idiot on Theo Von's podcast. There were a few times where he just snapped at Theo for no valid reason. And to hear Bill speak about it afterwards was interesting. He said that he didn't know what everyone was talking about and that the podcast went fine. He just didn't seem very self-aware or reflective when commenting on it. Theo had said that "it was like bringing roller skates to a sword fight." He kinda went in unprepared and not knowing what to expect.

Part of Bill's schtick with people is to screw with people and to find ways to make what they said sound stupid, and in this particular interview it just got to the point of being annoying and kinda stupid. I thought that podcast was hilarious, people just tend to think super easy coast people are anrgy or rude when that is just how they talk.
Thing is most of us guys love Theo because he is in touch with his feelings and is a true spirit, at the same time us same guys are like Bill where emotions and feelings are just not allowed
@@spencerantoniomarlen-starr3069 It's possible that people (myself included) are misreading Bill due to regional differences in demeanor. But Bill seemed a bit more combative than in his baseline or normal way of speaking to people. I also thought that the interview was funny, but there was the odd time when he didn't make sense when mocking Theo. For example, I recall Theo asking him about keeping a gun in his helicopter, and Bill responded by mocking Theo for the stupid question. But I was thinking "why is it a stupid question to ask someone in the U.S. if they keep a gun near something as valuable as a helicopter?" It was a random question but not a stupid one. I also think that Bill can be a bit unforgiving as an interviewee when an interviewer gets a bit flustered, which...I don't know, is something that just rubs me the wrong way sometimes. But as a comic I still think he's hilarious.
As a redhead myself I burst out laughing at your comment about him being in danger in the sun! I am not kidding when I say this, whenever it is super hot and super sunny out with no clouds and I come across a fellow redhead, I always tell them to stay safe and they usually get the biggest grin on their face and giggle or chuckle and say thanks, you too!

Bill was wrong for that one with Theo and I know he didn't care much but he read into things WAY too much. People speak differently and he just wanted to be clear he doesn't remember. He wasn't saying no, shut up, I don't wanna hear it. Daaamn! I knew Bil had a temper but he escalated that real quick.
I mean, first off Theos Face was just a screenshot. I ont htink it was from that moment, you can hear him cracking up while he says it. But also, Theo is definitely part of that crew of comedians who are fully into just roasting the hell out of each other. Bill is just the current king of it, so he always wins. It comes off harsh, but they all enjoy it very much because they know him in real life and not just what we see face value from his stand up and live appereances. He is gonna be "on" while on camera, thats the point. Ive seen several comedians call out Burr for actually being a nice person and him being like "I know, but I get angry too." He is just good at his craft.

I think they’re referring to moon boots which were big in the 80s, I know we all had them. They were gawdy. But don’t worry if they ever caught fire they would quickly combust and probably melt to your feet.

I like Theo but ppl saying Bill was mean to him need to develop a thicker skin and grow a pair. Bill was just being BIll. No different than he is with anyone else on their podcast. Theo only exacerbated any tension by the way he reacted and was probably just too intimidated by someone of Bill's stature to clap back. I think it's more of a personality clash between two people from two different demographics that's all. If they spent more time together they'd warm up to each other i'm sure. Bill even said later that Theo is one of his favorite comedians. I grew up about a half hour from where Bill grew up and trust me, EVERYONE, including some of my close friends were just like him. Same hilarious, sarcastic attitude and perpetual 'ball-busters.' Even the girls, lol (maybe that's why i find him so relatable) ..now, you wanna see someone completely out of their element interviewing Bill watch his first appearance on H3 with Ethan Klein (who I can't stand). THAT was awkward. Surprised it wasn't in this clip.

Some people may not know but Bill Burrs skill to roast is legendary. Beside him roasting Philadelphia he acquired his skills bantering with some incredible famous comedians early in his career. Where he used to perform he would, for hours, banter and 'funny' hate with the likes of Kevin Hart and Patrice O'neal.

My take on the Theo interview is that was Bill asserting comedian dominance. Like, "I know you think you're hot shit, but be careful you don't hurt yourself" At any rate there was a ton of clear male signaling going on there. I guess maybe they just hate each other, but it seemed a little more pointed than that from Bill.
