Magnificent model. This was the first plane I flew on on as as a kid in 1966, from Cape Town to Windhoek on South african Airways. Gave us sweets to before take off to combat the lack of pressurization.
went to the Berlin Airlift reunion in Great Falls MT last September and had the chance to walk through a C54, the Spirit of Freedom, one of the main planes used in the Airlift.
Wow, What a beautiful C-54, stunning in fact. I sure would like to know what engines were used, and how, and what type of mufflers he used. I'm sure they were custom built, just like everything else on the model. It just flew beautifully! Congratulations to the most talented and excellent craftsman who built her. Thanks for sharing. What a pure joy to see her fly!!!!
WOW - what a beautiful model. Well done! Great camera work, too.

Absolutely GORGEOUS! Now THIS is a true model aircraft. Thank you!
Steve was obviously happy with it after the first sedate circuit. Wheels up, fast pass from right to left. Excellent. Well done to all involved.
As a kid I flew this airline on a DC4 Stockholm to Iceland and then to NY.
WOW. Such a beautiful RC model !!
Real plane, Real modeler! Congratulations!
