I think they are preparing for future invasion of other race, remember during the Genius competition arc Nine Sword venarable mention that some of the mission included in the competition were about defeating other races different from human race because very soon they might be attacked by those races so they need more powerful genius that can withstand the war that’s the real purpose why the virtual company keep selecting and training Geniuses!
