the deathwing key word is important for buff's. black knights are also fearless ans armed with assault weapons a deathwing ainchient cant take a power sword, only a power fist or th/ss or lightning claws
Trouble is there's not that many buffs it helps with! You get to re-roll melee attacks against Fallen, but Masters will do that for almost all attacks made anyway. Being Deathwing does very little for them in 8th. Can't use it conjunction with Deathwing assault, as only units that are already Deathwing can be in Teleport Strike. Using it with Hunt The Fallen allows for re-roll charges, but you have to give an enemy character +1A as part of that Stratagem- and it's very situational. So mostly it comes down to Dreads & Land Raiders getting to re-roll all misses from Belial. Handy, but a bit limited in application.
Pestilential Fallout affects the nearest enemy unit after the powers affects are resolved. So if the smite kills the champion, then the one mortal wound hits the knights. You played it correctly. a deathwing ainchient cant take a power sword, only a power fist or th/ss or lightning claws
@@LeviticusStroud you could also use it with the ancients +1 attack on a dreadnought or a smash captain
Winters….are you standing on a milkcrate?
I hope you do a Sister of battle new codex battle report
Am I the only one who noticed that the dark angels have not filled the spearhead or the outrider detachment by a pretty big margin

im pretty sure you have to roll that shot anyway
This is soooooo awesome!!!
Great to see the old school marines in action. And I hate bloat drones.
Pestilential Fallout affects the nearest enemy unit after the powers affects are resolved. So if the smite kills the champion, then the one mortal wound hits the knights. You played it correctly.
One thing you could have done to be gamey, have the plaguecaster do a power like Miasma of Pestilence or Putrescent Vitality first. Hope to get a 7+. The Pestilential Fallout would have killed the champion. Then your smite is free to hit the big unit of knights
