This clip shows the difference in maturity, respect, and social expectations in behavior over the years. Agree with Sharon's lifestyle or not, everyone was civil and respectful in this show. This is how people acted in the 80's. We did not have the emotional outbursts like people do today. Lowering the bar on personal conduct is hurting our society more than anything else.

Yes I agree people knew back then about Trans individuals but were more respectful maybe it was out of total respect or total omission that they were there here and have always been I love a family member that I grew up around that was a Trans woman in the 90s that was my mom's inlaw and my dad grew up with they all knew and let us know me and my cousins loved her and always wanted to be around her

@adifferentperspective5913 I agree👍🏻 There was a whole different level of respect for everyone. It’s so refreshing watching this show that proves people don’t have to act indignant, disrespectful nor rude to discuss topics such as this and they can all voice their opinions respectfully and with some class❤

Bull. I was around then. We just didn't have the internet, instant video and camera phones to capture it. Much of the population was strung out on cocaine and crack. Please!!!!! Stop with the elder delusion of cherry picking the past. Violence, disrespect, classism, and bigotry painted the streets in the 80s. Television, however, had very strict guidelines that catered to illusions as opposed to reality.

Then and now you realistically shouldn’t tell a man until it’s serious because they will kill us and not think twice and people like you will tell them it’s okay , Sharon said multiple times how she wants to be referred to as she and her but you keep saying he when you and I both know that Sharon is not a man. She had a boyfriend and OBVIOUSLY her boyfriend knows considering she wrote a whole damn book. If people were less like you and would actually educate themselves and be more considerate of those around them then it wouldn’t even matter tbh because at the end of the day why do you even care ?

I am a transsexual woman and yes I agree that it’s our responsibility to inform the man that we are transsexual. I actually started seeing a guy a few years ago, and I never told him and fear that he would reject me. Wow a few months into the relationship I started to catch feelings for him, and I think he was catching feelings for me. Finally, I told him the truth about me, and as you can suspect the relationship ended and I was left heartbroken. However, there could be more serious consequences such as violence, so yes, it is a good idea that we as transsexuals are truthful to our partners.

Knowledge is power 🔋! Oldest trick 🤡 in the book 📖 of white Greco-Roman European Perversion 👨‍🦱🍑🍆👨‍🦰 Thug ⚔️ 🔫 supremacy💥! Turn the natural sexual union between a man 🧑🏿‍🦱🚹 & a woman 👩🏿‍🦱 🚺 into perversion (the alteration of something from its course. Corruption of what GOD (creator of the universe) first intended). 1st fact of the matter: Any heterosexual man 🚹 is not allowed by the "CREATOR" to have anal💩, oral 👄or any artificial perversion with a woman 🚺 no matter what! Keeping the most high laws in your heart 💙 is more important than pleasure, fame, or monetary 💵 gain! Important Example of Perversion: The fueling ⛽ of the L.B.B.G.T.P.Q. (Politric Party 🌈) by the synagogue 🕍 of SATAN 😈 🏴‍☠️🇮🇱🇺🇸🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇻🇦🇸🇦🇨🇳🇷🇺 media 💡 🎥 🎬! Lesbian- homo-perversion woman 🚺. Bi-perversion- The practice of perversion with both men 🚹 & women 🚺. Beastiality- Savagely cruel behavior. The perversion between a human and a animal. Gay- Stereotypical term used to describe a feminine male that practices homo-perversion. Transgender- Sexual identity confusion. Programed to have a sexual genital (penis or vagina) change through surgery 😷🔪💉to the opposite birth sex of the sexually confused 😕 individual. Pedophilia- A savage sexual demonic satanic mental illness behavior that human adults practice on children. Queer- People who practice strange or unnatural behavior. Example: Erving "Magic" Johnson & Isaiah "Original Detroit Pistons Bad Boy" 👦🏿Thomas displayed queer behavior by kissing 💋 prior to the start of a nationally televised N.B.A. game 🎮". A.I.D.S (As I Die Slowly) is a man 🚹 made 🔬 🧫 🧪 💉😷 disease 🦠. Perversion will destroy humanity 👩🏿‍🦱🧑🏿‍🦱👧🏿👦🏿👶🏿! If we love 💘 the GOD that resides in us, we must keep our temples clean. Including the mind 🧠 body 🏃🏾‍♂️, & soul 👁 👁 🎥!
All praises are due to the most high ☝! THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE🌌!

Yep, and it has come straight (no pun intended) through the public funded colleges. They have been corrupted, and they are shoving it down whoever's throat they can. They've been to pass it off as the new norm. Now, they're letting them adopt kids and are sexualzing them as they were. It's criminal and should be charged when they do this. You can't even spank your kid anymore, but you can confuse them into believing they're not normal if they want to be the sex they were born as. It's disgusting.

Trans women have always been here, the only difference is we now have social media and nosy people. When you don't know the person two blocks from you is trans it does not exist to you, but when you are always online watching videos and being nosy on social media then it feels like trans women are everywhere and "forcing it on you" existing is not forcing, you just want it to be the way it was when trans women were hidden from you, but news flash and the honest truth you are a *nobody* to a stranger and their life is *their life* and has absolutely nothing to do with you, when you start paying their bills then maybe you can have a say so, till then your opinion holds no weight and means nothing. Trans women have always been here and will forever be here, get over it.

  • @shalamigri

Sounds like a VERY involved process for a person to receive a sex change. It's my opinion that anyone who makes a conscious decision to go through a process like that which is so involved, there can't be any doubt in their mind that they truly feel they were born the wrong sex. I guess this is something that people on the outside looking in like myself will never fully understand. I do think that people like me need to stop fooling ourselves though. I've seen men so feminine that they were actually more feminine that most women. I don't think that people make a conscious decision to act feminine. I believe certain men have feminine characteristics because that's just the way they are.
On another note though, a lot of people think that these kinds of operations are just becoming popular in the modern day, but I don't fully agree with that. I think people are just more open about it now. I recall my Mom getting a visit from a woman once. The woman was just stopping by to say hello. This was in the late 80s or early 90s. The woman didn't stay long, but when she left, my Mom was like, "Don't you remember who that is?" I didn't remember. My Mom then told me that the woman used to be man. I still couldn't remember who the person was though. Guess I was too young to remember. So simply put, most people today don't know one person who has had this surgery, but I can honestly say that the first person I ever knew to have this surgery was over 30 years ago.

These were the real ones, the transsexuals, I used to see a few of them in the 1980s at the clubs. They were seen as rare and sometimes hard to spot, some may compare that for 'passing' as it's known as today and for the most part they tended to avoid the general population barring their closer connections (the only other trans were the 'transvestites' I saw more of those if anything even during the daytime) but they were usually found at clubs or gigs mostly if you were to find one. They were actually pleasant folk and most people actually respected them enough to call them 'she' or 'he' for the much rarer female-to-male transition and some ladies had no issue with the bathrooms then despite the stuff with April Ashley in the 60s, the current 'transgender' as it's now known with different things such as non-binary, agender, gender fluid do a different approach and demand respect. I feel bad for the transsexuals in todays world. I hope if any of you see this and I mean the proper ones hope you're having a good life ladies and gents.

Kleinfelter's Syndrome (KS) is the most common intersex birth condition for males, about 1 in every 500 male births. BUT NOTICE, born females may also be born with Kleinfelter's Syndrome, although females born with KS are much less frequent than males born with KS, about in every 150,000 female births. INTERSEX, comprising about 40+ intersex birth conditions, accounts for just over 2% of the population, both in America and World-wide.

Thanks for that information. It’s a possibility that she has that condition. It’s sad that some folks have a tough life, it didn’t break this individual and hopefully others are given hope watching this interview.

These are some well spoken black people. It almost sounds too proper and stiff that includes the host, guest and commercials. And this isn't a racist comment. I'm black and from Baltimore.

In 2024 men still cannot have babies.

    • @MonnieDavenport
      @MonnieDavenport 9 месяцев назад +1

They never could have but that didn't stop babies from being born, look it's not your thing and you don't have to love with what this person had to, do you really think that someone would choose this particular life with the harassment and mental abuse that they has to endure from God hating them to family members hating them, it's still enough ppl in the world for kids to be born and this person life style shouldn't bother you one way or another unless you feel intimidated about your own personal feelings because you may like them but peer pressure makes you a bully

As a black trans woman, this interview is EXHAUSTING!!!! They are literally asking the same (reductive) questions about her body- this ENTIRE interview was incredibly invasive and about her body !! I hope these ppl atleast bought the book since they had so many "questions"! Sharron is a beautiful, poised woman and she handled it with class! #transisbeautiful🏳️‍⚧️

No disrespect but im pretty sure your cousin knew exactly what he was dealing with. THE PROBLEM WAS THAT WHEN "OTHER" PEOPLE FOUND OUT THAT HE WAS DEALING WITH PERSON, IT FUCKED HIS MANHOOD AND REPUTATION UP AND HE COULDN'T FATHOM THAT NOTION AND THATS WHAT MADE HIM DO WHAT HE DID 100%!
I have heard this story MANY AND MANY OF TIMES OF HOW THINGS WERE BACK THEN! NEVERTHELESS. RIP TO YOUR BELOVED COUSIN

From what I heard it all happened that same night, so it wasn’t months or days later it was immediately. He killed him self right after he killed the trans person and it was not as uncommon back then when men found out. Back then it wasn’t as commonly known and I heard one friend say he thought he had gotten tricked so he choked the woman but it was a woman that had a cesarean scar and he thought it was from her being a man.
