To clarify! I played with 2 Hypnos at the beginning, then eventually realized I needed to prioritize Meltan being consistent so I dropped down to 1! I think ultimately going 6 basic pokemon is only justifiable when 4 of them do not evolve, otherwise you want to keep them at 4-5!

I play a stall variant using mawile and fearow. 2 meltan/melmet 2 mawile 1 sparrow/fearow 2 prof 2 Sabrina 2 Giovanni 2 red card 2 xspeed 2 pokeball. It started out as a wigglytuff ex stall, with the philosophy of disrupting energy and curve out on some of the meta decks but I’ve only got 1 wiggly so I dropped a couple meowth/persian that I found weren’t performing in favour of this set up. I would LOVE to see you do something with Omastar. It seems like it would be very interesting into the current meta, and you can do some interesting stuff with a confirmed non-Helix Fossil start.

I was running a Melmetal deck with Fearow instead of Kangaskhan since it can force the opponent to discard energy but I found it still struggles against Mewtwo once they have Gardevoir on the bench.

Love Melmetal. Definitely the most fun archetype besides the koga weezing that I've played. It badly needs more support though. Not just better steel mons or normal mons but better trainer cards too. Even something simple like a steel energy ramp would improve the deck a lot.
Melmetal, Alakazam deck pls :). Mr mime can be used to stall aswell. Melmettal holds out as long as he can for Alakazam to 1 shot nearly any pokemon, especially mewtwo, charizard, and venasuar.
I made a Kabutops and Alakazam deck that runs no other pokemon try it out it holds up surprisingly well and I would love to see what you can do with it
Been using this deck since i got my hands on melmetal. Been using a similar build. Hypno totally comes in clutch every time. Instead of Kanga though, I run 2 mawile. Not only does it have a chance to remove their energy, it only has 1 retreat cost, which lets me xpeed into meltan in turn 2 in case I need to start amassing. Kanga has failed me too many times.
Yoo mogwai you need to try a deck with Weezing and Tentacruel, a full toxic deck, with one Bruxish that some times can help to win some games. Trust me, give it a try i'm loving tô play with it And as always great vid
UssyLicker is a fun gamba deck I recommend you try running: 2 meowth, 1 persian, 2 lickitung, 2 gastly, 2 haunter, and 2 basic gengar. youll understand the name when you look at all the card art
ive seen an immortal deck featuring butterfree which u do not even need grass energy for all its pre-evos are colorless (Then using its heal on bench). WIth your potions plus butterfree theyd need to one shot you, also running meowth for getting your cards out.
If you want, try a deck with beedrill and exeggutor ex, is so fast, you play with erika and without speed X because you usually are able to charge 3 energys to retrait iit, and beedrill only need one, you can add kangashkan if you feel you are weak to Sabrina
i hope salemence gets a draco meteor variation with electric/fire instead, that would be so juicy. Moltres support and you could syphon of his electrics to an electrode when shtf with Lt Surge
Ditto is pretty useless, unless I missed something. The attack will only work if you have the same energy typing. A colourless is not universal for it unfortunately.
@ yea man I usually set up one butterfree before I get melmetal out and by that time he’s out I have both in the bench healing 20. Try it lol it’s pretty stable
@darkskyxgames I got lucky with a Misty once for Gyarados, but never have I ever won with it since then. Always get Misty to flop for nothing and can't build it up in time.
I always watch the gameplay, but today I notice from the very beginning the live chat, they are very rude not gonna lie, like they forget this game is for fun like they think if you don't play the EX's and the meta you are playing wrong, love the videos and the variety of deck a person can make, and also would love some non EX venasur to make chat more angry 😂😂

Greeninja shuriken doesn't affected by hard coat, because it's an ability, not an attacks.
Articuno blizzard is affected by hard coat.
Finally, but clearly we need more steel types.

just pass Misty high rolls games and play next, you get faster wins and people maybe get tired of it and stop playing it!

I'm a bit low on firepower but I've been trying to make Melmetal work with Pidegeot, Tauros and Golbat :') won some, lost a lot haha

Fearow is unnecessary and you won't discard energy on the Pokemon that you want. Fearow is very specific to be mixed with Melmetal.

I played against Gengar ex for the first time today, his ability is soo good. However I countered it with a Pigeot, Arboc deck. I got out lucky ha.

There are a lot of water cards that are bad because of Misty existence. Gyarados is one of them.
