If you come down south, you should take the ride up on the Arrábida road, just of the Setúbal peninsula. Stunning view over the sea, and you can even see Lisbon on the highest point.

It's an awesome ride... I saw quite a few other bikers up there on the way home... I was pretty early, like, 8am start... I think the Portuguese riders don't get out until after 10am... haha!

👍did a similar journey from duoro valley in a Toyota ugo thing, put in Google maps no main road, i got chased by a dog and ended up on top of a mountain with a chapel on, no idea where it was

Colcurinho is beautiful. BTW it's not "Serra da Estrela" yet. It's "Serra do Açor".

To put it into perspective, Ben Nevis is 1,345 metres high, so you were nearly this high up. But you don't need to be up a mountain to necessarily get great views.

São marcos geográficos de diversos pontos do país que indicam latitude e longitude. Existe um nessa região que é o marco do ponto mais central de Portugal, em Vila de Rei.
