We do. They're just never seen on tv anymore. Plenty of young people have been training at universities/conservatories all over the world. The type of "popular" music is ever changing. But, there are young people who can still do the standards and millions of amazing ballet dancers on the planet. It's just not highlighted/shown on television these days, that's all.

Twyla Tharp never choreographs to counts anyway. When you have someone who's as trained and musical as Baryshnikov he can deal with Sinatra's phrasing.
