- The Xero Shoes HFS is an excellent road running shoe for any distance, but is also exceptional for running on the treadmill and the trails, walking, powerlifting, box jumps, squats, sleds, yokes, any form of cross-training and everyday causal wear.

Thats awesome! They certainly are fun to wear for so many activities! Do you like other shoes by Xero?
@@runforefoot I like the Denver Boot and the Alpine Winter Boot for cold days. The Alpine Winter Boot is really nice in the snow. It's the only proper minimalist Snow Boot that I've seen so far.
I also have the Mesa Trail, but I don't really like that one, because I didn't find it to work well on the trails that I hike or run on. Also dirt gets in very quickly, and the relatively deep profile of the sole doesn't seem to be comfortable for my feet on longer hikes or runs. Maybe my expectations for that shoe were too high though...
I've been wearing these for about a year now and I've run about 822 miles in them. They make you feel like a ninja! I'm planning on running the London marathon in them. Used the Prios in the Dublin marathon a few years ago.
That’s absolutely fantastic! They really do make you feel like a ninja! They make you feel so swift and unstoppable. Very excited about your upcoming marathon! Good luck in London! You’ll do excellent! How was the Prios for the Dublin marathon?
@@runforefoot The Prios were very comfortable but the lace loops fell apart very quickly. I definitely think the HFS are a big improvement.
@@timkkhanna Woud you also think my knees will not resent running on these? 130-135lbs.. I like running 5-7k with my amazon Whitins, do you think this is an improvement? @Run Forefoot
Hi Tim, i wanted to ask whether they are heel friendly, like i hope they don't damage the heel

@NINOR BHUTIA
I don't see why it would damage knees or heels if your running technique is good. Keeping your knees bent slightly while landing on the ball of your foot and letting the hips rotate freely.
I'm glad to see another shoe review. Always helpful.
Glad you enjoyed and that it was helpful, and definitely more to come! 😊😊
These shoes are fantastic! I've been wearing them for about 4 months now, and I absolutely love them! I don't think I can wear regular shoes ever again🤣
Thats terrific! They really are, by far, one of the best minimalist shoes to wear, and its good to see Xero Shoes are expanding their line while staying true to the minimalist movement!
Thank You for sharing an awesome commentary on these great shoes !
I’ve been running in hfs for 2 years. They are So comfortable!!!
You're very welcome, and thank you! Glad you like them. Have you tried the Speed Force, too?
@@runforefoot not yet. But I want to. You could do a review?I have so many xeros. It’s all I wear. I just ordered The alpines on clearance now!
Your running is Pro. Please capture more video of your running form with different Minimal shoes reviewed and that would be helpful ! 😊
thank u
nice video! keep'em coming!!
Thanks so much! Will most certainly do!
I've just bought these, however my Whitins are okay
Have a pair in my rotation
i love the hfs! what other minimal shoes do you like to run and walk in?
That's great! I love how comfortable they are! I like the Vibram KSO EVO, the Skora Fit, and for winter running, I run in the Altra Escalante 2.0. What about you?
Thanks for sharing, great info! How are these on wet roads during a rain, are they slippery at all? I'm trying to find an alternate shoe when it's raining, my Prio's are too slippery when the road is wet
Good but Everytime I take them off the insoles try to pull out.
What about if you have flat feet would you wear a arch support or are arch supports bad for flatfeet in general. I get tearable inside shin splints. I have been using what you have been saying to do with the fore foot and it has helped a lot but I still seem to get issues on my left shin in one spot.
Arch support is very bad and needs to be avoided altogether. Luckily, there are many ways we can remedy your nagging shin issue. I’m glad forefoot running has been a big help! To really clear up the last of your shin problems, make sure you’re landing properly on your forefoot. Many people make the mistake of landing too high up on their toes or they land big toe-first, when really, a proper forefoot strike landing is a much flatter foot strike angle at landing, and initial ground-contact is made just under the 4th and 5th toe. Here’s the video I did on that: ruclips.net/video/MDy0fZqM5_I/видео.html
If you’ve already seen the video and have implemented the proper forefoot strike, the next thing to do to help with the shin pain is to slightly widen your stance width to get your left foot to land more under your left hip and your right foot to land more under your right hip. This helps reduce opposing forces on the shins by aligning the shin more vertically, rather than on an angle, at landing. Another excellent form-fixer you can implement is your arm swing in that keeping your hands close to your chest helps keep your initial foot strike position closer to your center mass. It also helps drive thoracic rotation which helps pull your foot up with much less muscular effort. This reduced muscular effort on the leg can help ease the burden off the leg in general! Here are the two videos that I did on how where you swing your arms can help significantly lighten the load on your legs. Makes a huge difference. Really fascinating stuff: (1) ruclips.net/video/5jQwXg4YlhU/видео.html (2) ruclips.net/video/Y6IW-y0uUUE/видео.html . Hope this helps! Let me know how you make out!
I like the running form clips; they make me want to go for a run. Is there a high frame rate mode on the camera for a smoother slo-mo?
That’s the idea 😇, is to get you excited to go running because you can do it, especially now that you know where to go for tips on proper running form. You have everything you need to get started☺️. There is a high frame rate mode on my camera, so I'll tinker with those settings to optimize my slow-mo shots. Thanks so much for that important recommendation! Can’t wait to try it out. Go for a run and let me know how you make out!
Hello thanks for your videos,
My quick question would be:
are you more satisfied with this one or Joe Nimble Toes?
You're so welcome my friend! I prefer the XeroShoes HFS over Joe Nimbles, only because the HFS is more comfortable, lighter and wayyyyy cheaper! The Nimbles inner lining isn't nearly as soft/comfortable (even with socks) as the HFS. The Nimbles may be a tad wider (not by much), but are heavier because the construction is more durable. My Nimbles outlasted my HFS, but the Nimbles have a very hefty price tag. So for me, its HFS for the win! I also don't like the direction JoeNimble has taken their shoes. Their shoes are looking more and more like Hokas, so Im very unhappy with that. Let me know how you make out with your shoe selection! :D
My feet size is 23 centimeters. But I don’t understand what size Xero Prio I am going to buy! One of my friend going to buy it for me….so. Still confused. Because traditional shoes and Xero shoes are not same
Hello. Did you size up in these as recommended by Xero? I'm trying to get those but I'm not sure what size to order. Do you think they run short?
How do they compare to the Zero Zelen?
Are these wider tham Lems Primal 2?
