For that P38 with the Japanese stamp. You should get Ian from Forgotten Weapons to take a look. He just did French occupation P38. I bet u he would do this one too.
Greetings from Germany. The P38/ P1 made bye Manurhin (Manufacture de Machines du Haut-Rhin) are fabricated after the War in Mulhouse/ Elsass witch is a City that at that time was in the French Occupation Zone . Because the French needed Guns for their Colonial Wars they took over the Production and manufactured P38/P1 and PP PPK Models . Later on also the German Police was supplied with Guns from there . Thats why you find the japanese looking Symbol on those ones. It´s not the Japanese Imperial Crecentamon , it´s the German Police Star.
I’ve been looking for the last 5 years for a P-38 that’s listed on 2 copies of the bring back paperwork from WW2, I have the Beretta listed on there but still searching for the P-38 or give the second copy to the owner of the P-38. Ser no. 2292.
To good to be true sorry to say . Were are you selling these fire arms ? Have you ever taken the time to find out what happen to the former owner ? who was he and how did he die ? Let me know THANKS RUSTY.
The p38 is .357 which is .38 and 9mm. Those are all the same ish thing they used to measure to the outside of the case when bullets were mushroom shaped. The inside of the case like we do now is .357 or 9mm. So p38 = 9mm. Nothing to do with the year I thought. This is why a .357 mag can shoot the slightly shorter .38 Special. I could also be wrong about the name but that’s what I always assumed . It happens. Also those French p38 and mausers are from when Germany occupied France where the Walther factory was. Basically France was sort of part of Germany before the liberation at the end of WWII. Japan was Germany’s ally. That’s a factory stamp. I’d guess Germany made that Japanese rifle in the same factory apparently in France which might be the walther factory. I believe the P1 is an alloy version of the P38 basically. If you love my info you could send me one. 😊
dude sorry, but why do you touch the old steal without some gloves? they are aint stainless! some guns of the crates cost over 1000 bucks, rust would be no good...
It's the Berlin Sunburst... I was so incorrect
Do you sell any of these, always wanted one, an in my world they are hard to find, alot of post wars out there. But not these.
Yes I have the same question, do you sell?
If I had the option of getting a million dollars or this gun collection, I think Id pick the collection.
I love these videos. Make them more often!
Videos like this are painful to watch. I find myself yearning to go bankrupt trying to round out my own collection

Nice. I didn’t know the police star. I always thought it was the factory stamp. Like many mousers have, Gustafson , Husqvarna, others.
Those racks look like they are from a gunshop back when they had good stuff. Now it is all ARs and black plastic.
Yay, a new video!!!
And yeah, the P-38 was first released in 1938 but was the result of several years of R&D with some solid testing.
Great collection!
fascinating. i'm speechless at your good fortune. thanks for sharing this content.
