  • I bought this fleece over 10 years ago from a hobby farmer. You voted and I'm so happy to use the one you all picked! I picked, decided how to color and then carded and sampled so we could see what I'll be getting! Thank you all so much for joining me on this journey. I appreciate you!

I like them both, pretty color too. That's a great way to go about blending all that. Should knit up into something really nice. I can see John liking it with just the greys and blues. Have fun with the fam and that should never be rushed :) I'm doing pretty good...down to one plastic grocery bag of wool to wash. The roving is beautiful though so I’m really happy with it. Trish, please stop berating yourself. We understand!! I think you get an enormous amount done. You also motivate me to get back to work. The Jacob is so lovely as it is without dyeing it. I do have some natural black Shetland which is a deep chocolate brown that I added a tiny amount of cobalt blue sari silk and purple and navy silk tussah to some of it and made rolags, I used just the tiniest amount of silk - less than 5% and used the silk in only one of the plies, so you just see a little here and there and it doesn't detract from the natural variations in the wool.
