I honestly didn't really enjoy SMGs until I got my hands on the Gladius. The Gladius just feels like a small reaper DMR with good hipfire with a laser sight.
i'm the opposite. gladius feels bad in my hands because i don't like slow RoF SMGs
The concept of the pdw is essentially that it's a really comfy SMG that trades damage for being comfy and I have a friend who loves it. The issue is if you can effectively use other smgs then it's not that useful
I mean, yeah, but the problem is that low damage output gets you killed... and if we're talking pure comfort, NC/VS have the Blitz/Sirius which are super comfy and kill quicker.
What do you think about the BX adapter for the jackal? 15 shots of 250 damage at 750 RPM but with a long charge time. (and split in 2 rounds)
I haven't used it since it got reworked. Wouldn't know.
I agree with what you said about the Armistice, easily my favorite SMG, but I'd put the punisher in A tier probably. It is very strong and feels very solid as well. As for the jackal. honestly i'd put that gun in a trash can if i could lol

Punisher just feels outclassed imo.
Punisher is S tier in squad play because the adaptive under barrel is so good. The only gun in the game where at least one person in the game has to be running it at all times

Cure launcher directive ARs do it better.
The only one I can see if Repair nade, but even then, I'd still rather have an AMR.
Vanu Canis and Eridani is S tier coz SMG infiltrator playstyle is endless running from one spot to another which makes fire from the hip absolutely essential
Problem:
Canis has spool-up, and otherwise is just kinda weird. Cyclone is just better.
Eridani has mediocre DPS and is beaten by Punisher.
Also, fun fact: every single SMG in the game, barring the pellet ones, share the exact same cone of fire stats.
the Gladius is a beast! Sure it's rpm could be a lot better, but if you know how to land those headshots its so good ;)
Well, if its RPM was much better, it'd be hilariously overpowered lol.

Blitz is by no means on the same level as other S tier guns. I would even take canis and eridani over it. It's still good like any other SMG on infil but not even close to cycline/gladius.
Eridani is at least A tier due to damage model and extended range. 143 is better against shielded heavies than 167. Also with headshots eridani kills faster than cyclone in range between 11 and 23m. Which is a lot. Same for punisher
Canis is also A due to big magazine, extended range and lower bloom.

Trying to auraxium Tengu. Why? Because it's free (from bonus code or smth) and it's figures in exceptional ii directive. I want that gold camo and there are not so many weapons to do it, so i'll use any weapon i have for that directive not matter what trash it is

Have 700 kills with Tengu by now, still a lot of kills to go. Maybe it's Stockholm syndrome, but Tengu doesn't look soooo bad. It's not good, but it's not trash.
Why it is not good - yeah, hip fire is a bad idea with this gun, yeah, firing beyond 15m is a bad idea, yeah, pellets have spread.
Why it is not trash - bruh, it's smg. If you are trying to fire beyond 20m with smg then it's something wrong with you, not with the weapon, because i probably wouldn't use any of smg's to fire beyond 20m. Spread - yeah, but the closer we are to the enemy, the less accuracy matters. As it's smg - we will always be trying to be closer to the enemy. 90% of firing any weapon happens with aim down sight so it not so bad that we have trash hip accuracy. Lower fire rate, in coparison to other smg's, makes handling recoil much easier - with Tengu i don't bother about recoil at all, when using other smg's i must put more effort to hold enemy in the sight. I would rate Tengu as C. There are better smg's - Kappa for example. The less pellets we have, the less we have to worry about hitting them all at once. And 1 missing pellet compensates with fire rate. I would rate Kappa as S if only it didn't have so awful first shot recoil multiplier(x 3.5), so yeah Kappa is A.
I don't feel like "omg Tengu is so trash, i regret spending my time on it", no. It's acceptable.
I mean, yeah, you're not wrong. The Tengu works.
The problem is every single SMG in the game does it better.
@@yanlexi Maybe. Actually, it's my first smg with 100+ kills. I prefer bolt sniper rifles so i can't say how other smg's are better because i've never tried them seriously
hmm the jackal i would even rank solid a it does everything decent almost like a faster rpm less dmg version of ns11-c and the horizon defenetly is in its own class a true god tier s++++++ slap capsulated ammo on it and whatever attachments you want because at this point you just will run 100% of the time hipfiring people that stand 50 m away of you ^^
Putting 3xb in F tier is a crime, it should be at least in A or B tier
I used it some more today and I'd agree I was unfair to it. It's a B in my experience. The autoburst is still wacky.

It's Eridani with HEAT. Eridani isn't super good, and HEAT doesn't offer anything on Infil in my experience with Skorpios. It's not bad - I just think it's not nearly as good as Sirius and TR/NC equivalents.
As with almost all these types of tier lists you have to consider the "opportunity cost" for them to make sense.
Even the Tengu that is almost universally considered garbage is a good weapon if you play around its strengths, what makes it garbage is that there are much better options available.
Its simply that its not worth using the Scorpios over the Eridani since you trade around 30% of your mag size for the heat mechanic, not really worth it.
Canis is S tier.. can take out several blues before they even notice. no other gun works like this. spool up? ive seen no such spool up.

from the wiki. 550 @ 167 is not an impressive model on an SMG (Jackal is 600, Cyclone is 652) and otherwise imho the other VS SMGs outperform it.

It's not as bad as you think - it bursts at 632, meaning if you can triple headshot it's actually quite good. Otherwise it kinda sucks lol
@@yanlexi it relies on one or two bursts to kill , if you don't kill with them you die and unfortunately it's hard to hit SMG holders or kill heavy assaults in time
Punisher is between S and A for sure.
Blitz is not S tier.
B in my opinion.
Blitz gets taken up to S tier because it outclasses all of the other Gen 2 SMGs, while being good in its own right. For comparison:
Hailstorm is 800 RPM @ 125, 60 rounds, shitty recoil.
Sirius is 845 @ 125 with 50 rounds, good recoil but a weird pattern that really limits you at range.
Blitz is 845 @ 125 with 50 rounds, with more stable recoil that's easy to compensate for. Sure, the Cyclone is still better, but if you want a big magazine and good DPS, Blitz is the best SMG in the game for that role.
I really hate the Blitz. Coming from 845rpm/143dmg weapons in other categories like the GD-7F/Solstice/Cycler TRV, it has the same fire rate but is an entire damage tier lower.
Yeah, you get 50 rounds, but your TTK is worse, your TTK gets even longer with low framerate because it's 125dmg, and the anaemic damage model means you're only getting one more kill out of a mag than the Cyclone/Gladius.
It's objectively B tier, but I personally hate it.
@@uninsightful7627 I hear you, but the SMGs were balanced for Infiltrator - which is why the DPS is lower. I put Blitz in S tier as it's objectively better than the other 'Gen 2' SMGs, and it's the easiest one to pick up and be competitive with. It's overall weaker than Cyclone, but if I were ranking on pure effectiveness, it'd still be A-tier imo.
Well 3 things, I was today years old and found out people still play planetside. It's pretty awkward that is the avatar you chose and I hate that yt thinks these game channels are what I want recommended to me.
Kinda funny that you clicked on it anyways- algorithm knows how to get its clicks, at least! The game is still going pretty strong. There's a bunch of very vocal game-hating vets, but people overall are enjoying themselves.
