Can someone tell me what the min/max voltage should be on a 12v lithium iron amp that delivers (or states0) 75RMS and 150 total- i want to increase the bass to the midrange speakers on the portable unit- electronics is not my best point....so what confuses me is that this states that 4700uf x 63V is ok/no? so is this a yes it works for 40HZ low frequency or a better sound of bass is the 470uf 180v? i take it a mid bass at 80Hz? can the voltage be lowered on this capacitor? The portable unit only has two mid bass speakers and a tweeter. I am thinking of adding a passive crossover to better split the frequencies... many thanks form a carpenter ;)))

What happened the amplifier when using the capacitor in the speaker. It is no empedance can ditect the amplifier from the speaker
I use a 0.1uF / treble tone - 0.5uF mid range 0.32uF lower freq. Valve radio circuits respond well - when working on older CRT Televisions remember there are HIGH VOLTAGES ! On newer systems lower voltages are often the norm re capacitors BUT use QUALITY components!! 👀

On the other hand, if you use a capacitor with so many microfarads, you are doing nothing since the capacitors do not amplify. They only filter (high pass connected in series) and due to the magnitude of the capacitor, the entire audible spectrum is passing through and the speaker will to reproduce.
The output of a amplifier signal is Ac not Dc so this will damage a speaker or amplifier
Make your own experiment if you think you're right .

Never ever you use polarized capacitor (like you are using) to connect like filter in speakers. They are just used in to DC voltage source (filtering DC current) and the signals from amplifier are AC voltage/current signals. Then, they can explode!!! Only use non polarized capacitor to this application.
I am using it here. and it's been 3 years without damage. That's called idea discovery

You can’t use dc capacitors on a speaker it will damage the amp or speaker you must use non polar caps
I think these guys want people to blow their amps. Why else are there so many such videos. Yes I tried it and blew my amp and speaker.
I could put a coil behind the capacitor in the positive and then connect the capacitor to both poles I think the professionals are connected like this it is a very rare connection.
Is this safe to the amplifier?
if you connect the capacitor in series with the speaker, it will be safer for the amp
