Joolz is wrong. It wasn't 'shoddy'. Like most of Channel Four back then, it was experimental and loose but FAR more exciting and entertaining than the same old, same old routine on his 'Later With...' programme. Actually can you just transport me back to 1983 or 84, please? We were SO lucky!
The brilliant tube gets cancelled, but Saville on top of the pops and the BBC went on, like they were respectable, same type of situation with the sex pistols and Saville n the beeb. Then t f I Friday went the same way.
