@KaizenDIYGym I view it more as a therapy room. You don't have to look like a bodybuilder to enjoy lifting and fitness. It feels very liberating to have your own basement or garage gym. You can buy literally whatever you desire for it and customize it however you want. I can't work out in my boxers in a public gym, but I can in my garage. Never have to worry about waiting on a rack, bench, etc. I don't have to be surrounded by people who think the only way their workout is if they record their work out. It can become a money pit, but almost anything you buy will last forever as long as you treat it with some a little care. I'll never have a setup that beats a traditional gym, but I also have a lot of equipment you will not find in most commercial gyms.
I love my basement gym, and it's way bigger than my two car garage, which means more equipment lol. Deciding not to use my garage has also saved me so much pain from hail damage and neighborhood break in sprees that I would never want to give up that valuable space in the future. Hopefully you can get your new basement fixed up, but even if not possible huge congrats to you bro.
Your gym is amazing. There’s a lot of equipment but still so much room to workout. It does not look cramped or cluttered. So much better than going to a commercial gym, no time wasted traveling, fuel costs, gym fees, waiting to get on equipment etc. liked.👍
Thanks you Stew! There’s a lot packed in to that space. I’m about to move and I’ll be downsizing quite a bit. The next gym tour is going to be interesting.
For the leg ext/curl machine attachment, you just need to create a CAM pulley or search up COTS part and remove the weight arm entirely. The CAM will provide the resistance curve you’re looking for.
Cool idea for the leg attachment. I've been wondering for 40 years why nobody makes a leg ex/seated leg curl machine with plate loading behind the user.
I'm fairly new to the GARAGE GYM life, just wanted to say that I truly appreciate your content. I ordered THE DANE after watching both your video and Coop's. Great reviews that sold me on it. Keep up the great work!!!!
Your gym is incredible, looking forward to what you’ll do with a garage space. GREAT idea for the leg attachment. I also like the cable belt squat attachment, have you looked into something that could attach to the low pulley on a titan/rep/bells of steel lat pull? I look at that lower pulley and feel like it has untapped potential. That atx lat pull looks like they have their stuff together.
Thank you for the kind words. I have looking forward to finally having a permanent set up. I have a BOS lat pull on my Hydra rack. I should mess around with it more often. The ATX tower is sick bro!
Belt squat/Low Row platform looks sweet! I use dumbbells to separate myself for low rows with my BOS Cable Tower. Would love to incorporate some belt squats into my workouts.
I don’t really use a lot of social media so I hope you see this and have the time to respond, I wanted to ask a couple questions about your equipment preferences. Obviously your DIY work has started to turn into a business, with each project you do potentially being R&D for your next product. If it wasn’t for that, do you think you’d always stick with the DIY approach or start buying mostly finished products assuming your financial situation allowed it? Do you believe people over exaggerate the drawbacks of the DIY approach or do we just have a higher tendency to look past the drawbacks out of financial necessity or personal satisfaction? What is the general reaction you get when people who only use commercial gyms work out in your space for the first time? Personally I’ve stuck to DIY projects whenever I can for my home gym even now that it’s become financially possible for me to just go out and buy something like a functional trainer. The DIY aspect is another part of the fun for me, and I think any perceived drawbacks when it comes to using the equipment are just design flaws in the build to be overcome by iteration, just like the issues we see in prebuilt equipment. There is certainly some stuff I want to just bite the bullet and drop some money on (we need more DIY lower body isolation solutions) but overall I feel like the personal touch that comes with building my own gear gets me more motivated to use it than I would be if I just went out and blew some money on the “better” equipment.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful comment. I'll do my best to respond. Being a creative person and knowing woodworking, I think I would always have some element of DIY in my gym, regardless of my financial situation. I love having the ability to customize and really enjoy the creativity. I don't have many visitors in my gym. The people who do come over for workouts already know the deal and are excited to see it all in person. I've invited a handful of Facebook marketplace strangers into my home when they are buying equipment from me and the usual response is "whoa, this is insane." Ultimately, it's your life, do what makes you happy. The calculation is different for everyone. For me, I enjoy building things. It is extremely satisfying. Doing it all on video and receiving recognition from the community and from companies it is just icing on the cake.
man im really envy about your stuff! for me its a little to full down there... i would remove like 20% in order to have more space. but your equitment is really nice! my home gym is only 120sqft :/ all i have room for (without it feeling to claustrophobic) is a wall mounted rack, db from 2,5kg to 40kg, a bench and a small weight tree
I could definitely downsize but part of the reason that I keep all this stuff is to have different racks to use to equipment development and testing. Also I am an equipment hoarder but I use this channel to justify it. Most people can get by with 120 sq ft if/when they need to. Sounds like you have all the essentials.
Awesome setup, love your videos, subscribed. Awaiting arrival of my Fringe Sport Osprey Rack (47" x 47" x 89") with Mammoth Belt Squat attachment and basic pulley system (didn't need all of the Dane features). Osprey's 11 gauge 3" x 3" uprights with 1" holes, lifetime warranty, and compatibility with other companies' rack attachments seemed like best value compared to the more expensive racks from Rogue, Rep, and Titan. How do you like the Osprey rack (pros/cons)?
Scale of 1 to 10 how much does moving suck? Lol my gym has been through a very similar journey. I also do not use my diy leg press haha! The longer you have your gym the more you figure out convenience and what works for you.
Since the 2 belt squat is cheaper than jammer arms is there a way to make set or start point holder like for shoulder press for the dune because this looks like very versatile and amazing if so
For the inevitable "you don't even look like you lift" commenters, see this video before you comment: ruclips.net/user/shortsGAJ92TpMLe4

It's great to see that everything from big brands to small companies to homemade products is included.
Thanks! I love it all!

Did it! Such a great improvement!

Bulletproof Fitness. Try hitting up Larry. He has been working with others lately and it seems real good.

Awesome, welcome! We’re happy to have you join the home gym community
Thanks for the shout out! Looking forward to seeing the Megalith Handles in your first ever garage gym!
Man, I got the handles in just as I was about to post this video. So close!
I’ll be making content with them soon. Stay tuned.
Man, you are so fortunate to have gotten that ATX piece!
I am full of gratitude every day I use my ATX equipment
Beautiful setup, colors, and lighting!
Awesome, thank you!

Also can you do a video on that leg curl diy????? Looks amazing
I am working on it this week
Great tour! I’m looking forward to see your new garage gym when that gets going!
I am looking forward to having a permanent set up!
Dope gym bro! I've always appreciated you creativity with the DIYs.
Yeah thanks! I still love doing DIY's but haven't had a workshop since I moved out of my last house. Hopefully I can get back to it soon.
Also, sweet bedroom set up! That’s awesome for content creation. Congrats on the house.
Thanks so much! I'll definitely make a space like that in my new house. It is super convenient for shooting videos and podcasts.
Great gym tour as always, but looking forward to your next one, since it will be on your permanent space! Congrats for your new house! :)
Thanks so much! It’ll take some time to get it up and running but I am looking forward to it!
That gym is sick Kyle! So much cool stuff
Thank you! It's a bit much but I love it
I learned a lot of things from your Channel man and I wanna say thanks!! Awesome set up , good luck on the move 👍💪🏼
Awesome, glad you’re getting value from my channel! I’ll be documenting the process of setting up the new space. Stay tuned
@@KaizenDIYGym I love organizing and arranging things so hopefully u enjoy it too and it’s not a pain!
Congratulations on the new crib, Brother!!!
Thanks Peej!
Awesome video my man, love the setup!
Much appreciated!
@KaizenDIYGym No worries! Also love the shoulder side lateral attachment DIY!

It's awesome. I'm just waiting on a company who wants to help bring it to market. Hopefully someone will respond to this video.
Home gym is absolutely sick
Thanks so much!
Love the tour bro. That French cleat wall is almost as cool as mine. 😂
The imitation will never be as awesome as the original!
Gonna be a lot of work taking everything apart moving to your new place my guy!
I know it but I am excited to set up a permanent gym in the next place.
Love the set up.
Thank you! It's the best spot in the house
Dane pegboard looks clutch
It’s really awesome. Depending on what they do with it, the pegboard could be a serious competitor to Wall Control

Thanks! I’ll do a vid in the new garage once it’s all set up.

Oh wow, that’s an amazing offer. Let’s chat offline. I will probably need some help.
Digging the basement gym..
Btw what is the ceiling height? Looking at doing something similar in my own basement. thanks!
Still CEO of lat pulldowns
Heck yeah!
Those Gym Pin Taco handles look pretty awesome. I have the same BOS trolley arms. Do you know the release date on them?
They are currently available- gym-pin.com/kaizendiygym (coupon code KAIZEN10 saves 10%)

No PRX? 😉 Sorry bro. Had to 😂
Not yet...stay tuned
FIRST! Haha.. thanks for posting, bro 💪🏻
Thanks for getting here so quickly!
Do you have a tutorial on how to make the DIY single barbell vertical holder. I'm trying to make on for an axle bar.
I don’t have a tutorial but I made a short video about the process: instagram.com/reel/CfEYGLDAOeb/?igsh=aHVscHdtNm94amRo
My C2 Rowerg stores away super nice and easy not sure I understand.
That’s cool man. Maybe C2 changed the design since I last had one.
How much for a membership 😂 that gym is awesome 🏋♂️
As far as jammer arms 3x3 with spacers, so you'll be all set if you decide to upgrade the rack👍
Friends can lift for free bro! Good call on the 3x3. It's always a good idea to future proof your set up.

Definitely 10. I’ve moved several times in the last year and a half. It’s no fun. I am looking forward to my permanent set up in the new house.

I’ve mentioned it to Fringe and they may be working on it. Stay tuned
Any all in one full trainers under 75”? Have super low ceilings so I’m super limited.
Bells of Steel will be releasing something very soon: www.bellsofsteel.us/#a_aid=Kaizen
Looks like someone is a Protest The Hero fan.
Heck yeah! I’m planning on seeing them in Louisville in October!
Nice gym 🇮🇳👍
Thanks so much!
who makes that seal row bench?
GMWD seal row bench - amzn.to/42huUbV
@@KaizenDIYGym Thanks. That looks to be good value compared to the usual gym brands.
oh i am early!!
So early bro!
Where is the legpress ?
I sold the GMWD leg press after releasing the review video. I still have my DIY rack mounted leg press but never use it.
4:30 get a patent on this!
I don't have the cash for a patent bro
@@KaizenDIYGym damn! Neither do i
