To solve the issue with the prehardmode exclusive yo-yo, you could either add the drop back in hardmode, or make the hardmode item that normally replaces it be able to shimmer into the prehardmode item Also, the Petashark looks like it functions extremely similarly to the Bubble Gun. The bubbles from the Flairon and the Bubble Gun function differently, so I feel like the Petashark bubbles should also function differently. Maybe something like shooting the bubbles to cause them to pop and cause extra effects to happen would work, but it would probably either require putting shooting the bubbles on alt fire or having the gun switch between preparing bubbles and shooting normally
9:15 i think that instead of a broken hero sword, you could use the existing hallowed repeater and use the chlorophyte shotbow as the broken hero sword stand-in!
Dude, this is actually incredible you did a great job, but i do have a few critiques: Firstly, I think all the terra projectiles should have infinite piercing purely because the terra blade projectile does. Like, you did a perfect job in that respect with the terra tome's piercing. Secondly, some of the actual physical weapon designs were too small in my opinion (the terra blade is quite sizeable). Thirdly, I think you did a fantastic job with all the biome-themed, night's edge crafting-tree weapons, but the night's edge-equivalent & true night's edge-equivalent weapons should produce an alternate projectile other than the ones they already produce (if they produce one). For instance: -The night's sling's could maybe have a terrarian yoyo-esque projectile but not quite as strong and not as frequently fired. -Perhaps the night's rod could fire some unholy-trident-esque projectile along with the cursor-following one. -The night's bow could shoot a piercing/exploding purple arrow as the first arrow of the three. -The six-shooter's bullets could shatter upon impact or something, creating maybe some spinning, lingering bullet fragments. -The night's legatus could leave a shadow trail of different moon phases behind it that do lingering damage. This is solely to mimic the spinning projectile fired by the night's edge. Then, with the true-night's versions, upgrade said projectiles (multiply the count of them, make them give debuffs, or something of the sort), and change the weapon sprites' colors to fit the true night's edge theme. This would enhance the appearance of similarity between the night's edge/true night's edge swords and your newly-created weapons. Fourthly, as for the excalibur-equivalents, I have some feedback. -The yoyo should have been a new, hallowed bar-themed sprite that produces some light and sparks upon impact. -The staff weapon should've been another metallic, hallowed bar-themed weapon that maybe shoots golden metal projectiles. -The shatter point is a really cool weapon, but it doesn't fit the excalibur theme in my opinion. I think it should follow a similar theme with hallowed bars and maybe it could have a similar projectile to the shatter point, but more gold-themed like the excalibur. -As for the bow, there already is a hallowed repeater but maybe theme the shots to have that gold light that the excalibur produces. -The gigashark was a stroke of literal genius to be honest. However, I, yet again, believe maybe the barrel should be made of hallowed bars and it should emit a faint glow when being fired. -I truly think the holy commander is just truly fantastic as a summon weapon. It's extremely creative and you went the right direction with that excalibur-equivalent in my opinion. With the true-excalibur versions, perhaps just make them more flashy, give them that alternate color scheme that the true excalibur has, give them a larger AOE, and add red light to mimic the true excalibur. I think these would be great additions purely because of the potential parallels between the OG swords. Lastly, it would be cool to see the tiki spirit change sprites into like a buffer version the more minion slots he takes up. I desire swole tiki man. If you made it this far, thank you for hearing me out. I offer these suggestions purely out of interest in your modding capabilities; I only wish to see this mod published in the way that you want it to be. Good luck 👍👍

Make sure the piercing projectiles have local or ID static instead of global immunity frames. That way they work in multiplayer, don't interfere with your own/other player's attacks due to s, and they don't deal unintended bad DPS.

Holy commander seems overpowered, you should make it give fewer buffs for more duration. Free iron skin, swiftness, and regeneration instead of all those rarer and harder to get buffs. Maybe make it so you can only get iron skin with 2 holy commanders spawned, and only get regeneration with 3, but they’re permanent as long as the holy commanders are summoned The early-mid bows are a bit bland and repetitive Not really a fan of some of the gun options, like ricochet on the giga shark. Damage seemed underwhelming, maybe it was just because I didn’t see the full fire rate though Swords were pretty solid all around, good stuff on that front Same for yo-yos, they seemed pretty fun and rewarding to upgrade
Idk how well that Holy Commander performs in pure summoner build considering the stage of the game you're getting this, but I feel like in addition to any other class it would be quite overpowered IF ONLY dps-wise it will be around the same as any other summons available. At the same time buffing summon sounds really cool, especially when all these buffs you could made normally, it's just a pain in the ahh. Feels like a fair trade-off to sacrifice some dps for a few extra buffs
Change the sfx for the Six Shooter. Unless is changed for video purposes it sounds like you’re shootist a BB gun, rather than an actual gun, LET ALONE a gun to rival the Nights Edge. Something deep and bellowing, perhaps even otherworldly imo.
Hey i really liked the idea of the creeper summon but why doesn’t eater get a summon? Like a prehardmode stardust dragon staff? I think it would be cool to either have this or a eater of souls summon because essentially eater of worlds is just a giant eater of souls centipede lmao (by a eater of souls summon i mean a bunch of eaters that just dash at average speed at the target)
I like that the weapons cover relative blind spots in the class roster. We got close range mage and a reliable bread and butter, variations on aiming preferences, and minions that fulfill a whole bunch of roles (as opposed to a cloud of gremlins). Holy commander is overtuned just on account of spamming eight or more buffs when later stage fights may see players pushing the 22 buff limit on top of being a summoner. Still, these weapons meld perfectly into vanilla and save class progression from feeling barren across different stages.
The holy commander is actually such a fucking sick concept. My wish for this mod is that you continue working hard on it and give all the weapons as much care and love as the holy commander!
Night's Rod recommended change / addition; increase cast speed of new projectiles the longer / more you pile up the projectiles before hitting anything so youll charge it up to maximum potential faster, its very slow to get multiple projectiles otherwise. Stinger Storm recommended change; make the poison stack up (up to a point) if possible, increasing its duration and dmg per tick. I am not sure if it is possible to do that.
Make the “cross of terra” It takes a while to charge up, it uses up all your mana and sends down a powerful beam that is guaranteed to remove 15% of a BOSS’ health, instakills normal monsters. It dosent matter how strong the boss is, it allways removes 15% (20% on a lucky day) You must fuse luminite with the terra blade and find an “old cross” inside of an old mansion located far to the east. (Has a chance to exist near the dungeon *insert cool lore based around the old man and the mansion here* ) the old cross does 1 damage. But it emits a faint glow at night that werewolf and other cursed monsters are afraid of. (Old cross)“An old cross, it seems to be… holy” (Cross of terra) “a cross that was purified by the luminite, it seems to shimmer with beauty and you can hear a choir emanate from it”
All in all I think this is a pretty solid mod. I prefer a *heavily* modded experience and this isn’t quite enough variation for my taste, but the next time I want to play a minimally modded playthrough, this mod will definitely be one I use
If you think about it, you could make a summon weapon similar to the stardust dragon for the corruption where it summons tiny chunks of a eater of worlds. Just so that there is something unique to each biome
I would say the Tera Totem should be 3 entities that each do the respective attack. Every summon after 3 upgrades 1 of the minions to a higher tier. With 9 summons, you get 3 tier 3 minions. At max 11 summons you get 2 tier 4 and 1 tier 3 summon. Tera Trident (damage threshold) could cause you to summon 1 extra tera totem minion, thus 12 max for all tier 4 minions. When they don't have any enemy to attack, they hover near the player stacked like a tiki totem.
I would love to see one of these for flails, since they are one of my favorite weapon types and they carried me through my first playthrough, but I feel like most people forget about them.

11:10 you should use a renderTargetLayer to draw a sprite behind the body but in front of the back arm, and use a held projectile so you can see them both fire. It's a little difficult and you're playing with rendering which is hard sometimes but there's no "back hand" layer normally in Terraria so.
suggestion on the night six-shooter make it like the first shot shoots 2 bullets then the second shot 3 bullets then the third and final shot a powerful bullet that inflicts shadow flame and shatters into pieces
I will preface this with a warning, i might be really tearing into these ideas, but that's because i'm invested and interested. i'm sorry if i am disheartening or unpleasant, i don't mean to be so. for the mage, i woulda done the vilethorn/crimson rod and probably would've made the jungle staff be like a prehardmode version of the poison and venom staves, where it shoots stingers, that or it's like a weapon version of the spore sac, summoning quickly fading clouds of spores that gravitate towards nearby enemies. with the night's rod, i would've given it it's own name, like the shadow scepter, and make it shoot homing, piercing dark energy globes at random angles that have chances to inflict fire and poison. also, the terratorch seems to be woefully lacking in multi-target damage which, the piercing of the terrablade is one of the biggest components of its effectiveness, so the terratorch looks good, sounds good, but it's GOTTA have a little more multi-target damage, like, maybe the projectiles explode for area damage? and with the book, again, tome of darkness would feel a lot better name wise. the purple heart having shadowflame feels more in line with what a night's edge version should have, as shadowflame is really good, i think there should be a crimson book that's the bleeding heart or if we wanna reference something, the telltale heart. and the purple heart its own thing. like light's bane and blood butcherer. maybe the purple heart summons splitting shadow orbs and the telltale heart creates blood rain like a mix of crimson rod and blood rain bow. the tome night's edge feature feels a little rough to me, i'll be honest, because A: looks like you can project it through walls easily, which is quite a feature for a prehardmode weapon and B: the damage-range function seems a little counter intuitive to what the mage's deal generally is. it's a very cool weapon though. the tome excalibur in my mind would be the tome of light, made with hallowed bars and a spell book, it'd fire holy lances that get more powerful the further away from you they get, as an inverse to the tome of darkness. as the tome of darkness is pretty cool, i'm just unsure what to make of it. for the bows, I think it'd be cool to have the night's bow to be called the darkwing or something, or maybe make it a powered up version of the sharanga as a little nod to the older version bow. would be cool if it shot its own arrows, like maybe it fires a purple version of the luminite arrow's after image lasers? or maybe just spectral arrows like the sharanga. the hallowed repeater is essentially the excalibur for bows. so a true repeater might be good. the true night bow should fire a a mix of shadowflame, venom, and night arrows(the lasers i was talking about) or maybe it fires purple beams which can inflict shadowflame or venom, along with green beams for ichor and cursed flame. i think that could be super cool! it was almost no notes on the guns... but i'm not much a fan of the turret, I think it should fire the cursed bullets from the true sixshooter, the bouncing gigashark bullets, and the night bullets, and it shouldn't be a turret, it should just be a handheld gun like the rest of the line. i say it should fire the bullet types in sequence, so night, piercing cursed, then gigashark. with each shot being a burst of the three that lines up with the next shot to make an alternating rapid stream of special bullets that all do their own thing to make high fire rate chaos! name idea for it: terra tearer, i think it's silly and fun for it. and it's accurate to what it does: tear apart anything in front of it. that or just legit have it be the terrashark. for the summons, i'm a fan of the creeper staff, but i think a worm staff would be good for the corruption, the more summons, the longer the worm, but instead of the tiger staff or abigail or the stardust dragon, each segment does its own damage as it dashes at targets from nearby ground. the dark caster staff... not much a fan of that one, i think it'd be a lot better as the cursed skull scepter. summoning cursed skulls to ram into enemies, causing confusion(because the curse debuff only really works on players...) the night's legatus could be the dark moon or something like that. other than those, i have nothing to mention! super cool stuff!
I'm not sure why Terra Totem should immediately take all summon slots, instead of getting gradually stronger with each one, like Desert Tiger, Abigail or Stardust Dragon
This is actually so cool. my one critique is everything but the Terra Tome and the Terra Throw are a little weak for the stage of the game you get them. Otherwise I am going to be using this mod in all my playthroughs! Keep up the awesome work!

Not a fan of the hallowed summon weapon. Coulda just went with the optic staff since it does functionally the same thing as the moon staff with the dashing but with lasers.
Yo-yo already had a terra one - terrarian, no? Terra tome sounds like teratome - stem cell malfunction, that, akin to cancer, makes growth, but unlike cancerous, teratoma growth produces extra teeth, bones and other body parts and tissue, that shouldn't be there, but it's often not life-threatening
I would love to know for instance with the staff, if it has both colors on for the worthy, i play with both corruptions bc i like it so yeah, it would be great if you did something there
the bows seem pretty weak before the terra tier, and the dark caster staff looks like the only viable pre mech summon weapon some of the hardmode upgrades look pretty overpowered, with the high damage and the insane amount of times they can hit an enemy
Do you think it's possible tout create minion summoned by armor sets line the Stardust guardian but with multiple attacks phase line your summon ? It would be so cool !

I don’t know if you’re taming suggestions but I saw someone else do it so I’m gonna ask also. You should add more magic missile type weapons. They’re maybe my favorite subclass and the only true magic subclass imo (staves and books work exactly the same for the most part), so its a shame there are only three of them (and I think the first one sucks).

Creeper staff take less summon spots (yes less than 1) because theres usually a lot of creepers around the brain.
Could be like the optic staff, summoning multiple with a single slot. Maybe its design philosophy would be based around tag damage.

Might not want to have a diamond staff as a recipe requirement. Half of all worlds don’t even have platinum lol
it could prob be interchangeable with the emerald/ruby staff or out right replaced with the amber staff

All in all I think this is a pretty solid mod. I prefer a *heavily* modded experience and this isn’t quite enough variation for my taste, but the next time I want to play a minimally modded playthrough, this mod will definitely be one I use

If you think about it, you could make a summon weapon similar to the stardust dragon for the corruption where it summons tiny chunks of a eater of worlds. Just so that there is something unique to each biome
I would say the Tera Totem should be 3 entities that each do the respective attack.
Every summon after 3 upgrades 1 of the minions to a higher tier. With 9 summons, you get 3 tier 3 minions.
At max 11 summons you get 2 tier 4 and 1 tier 3 summon. Tera Trident (damage threshold) could cause you to summon 1 extra tera totem minion, thus 12 max for all tier 4 minions.
When they don't have any enemy to attack, they hover near the player stacked like a tiki totem.

11:10 you should use a renderTargetLayer to draw a sprite behind the body but in front of the back arm, and use a held projectile so you can see them both fire. It's a little difficult and you're playing with rendering which is hard sometimes but there's no "back hand" layer normally in Terraria so.

True holy commander should debuff enemies while on attack mode like making them take more damage/reduce defense or reduce their damage
suggestion on the night six-shooter make it like the first shot shoots 2 bullets then the second shot 3 bullets then the third and final shot a powerful bullet that inflicts shadow flame and shatters into pieces

If you do end up making a Zenish Minishark tree, you should keep with the byte size naming scheme and end up with the Zettashark.

Epic weapons mod continues being epic.
I will preface this with a warning, i might be really tearing into these ideas, but that's because i'm invested and interested. i'm sorry if i am disheartening or unpleasant, i don't mean to be so.
for the mage, i woulda done the vilethorn/crimson rod and probably would've made the jungle staff be like a prehardmode version of the poison and venom staves, where it shoots stingers, that or it's like a weapon version of the spore sac, summoning quickly fading clouds of spores that gravitate towards nearby enemies. with the night's rod, i would've given it it's own name, like the shadow scepter, and make it shoot homing, piercing dark energy globes at random angles that have chances to inflict fire and poison. also, the terratorch seems to be woefully lacking in multi-target damage which, the piercing of the terrablade is one of the biggest components of its effectiveness, so the terratorch looks good, sounds good, but it's GOTTA have a little more multi-target damage, like, maybe the projectiles explode for area damage? and with the book, again, tome of darkness would feel a lot better name wise. the purple heart having shadowflame feels more in line with what a night's edge version should have, as shadowflame is really good, i think there should be a crimson book that's the bleeding heart or if we wanna reference something, the telltale heart. and the purple heart its own thing. like light's bane and blood butcherer. maybe the purple heart summons splitting shadow orbs and the telltale heart creates blood rain like a mix of crimson rod and blood rain bow. the tome night's edge feature feels a little rough to me, i'll be honest, because A: looks like you can project it through walls easily, which is quite a feature for a prehardmode weapon and B: the damage-range function seems a little counter intuitive to what the mage's deal generally is. it's a very cool weapon though. the tome excalibur in my mind would be the tome of light, made with hallowed bars and a spell book, it'd fire holy lances that get more powerful the further away from you they get, as an inverse to the tome of darkness. as the tome of darkness is pretty cool, i'm just unsure what to make of it. for the bows, I think it'd be cool to have the night's bow to be called the darkwing or something, or maybe make it a powered up version of the sharanga as a little nod to the older version bow. would be cool if it shot its own arrows, like maybe it fires a purple version of the luminite arrow's after image lasers? or maybe just spectral arrows like the sharanga. the hallowed repeater is essentially the excalibur for bows. so a true repeater might be good. the true night bow should fire a a mix of shadowflame, venom, and night arrows(the lasers i was talking about) or maybe it fires purple beams which can inflict shadowflame or venom, along with green beams for ichor and cursed flame. i think that could be super cool! it was almost no notes on the guns... but i'm not much a fan of the turret, I think it should fire the cursed bullets from the true sixshooter, the bouncing gigashark bullets, and the night bullets, and it shouldn't be a turret, it should just be a handheld gun like the rest of the line. i say it should fire the bullet types in sequence, so night, piercing cursed, then gigashark. with each shot being a burst of the three that lines up with the next shot to make an alternating rapid stream of special bullets that all do their own thing to make high fire rate chaos! name idea for it: terra tearer, i think it's silly and fun for it. and it's accurate to what it does: tear apart anything in front of it. that or just legit have it be the terrashark. for the summons, i'm a fan of the creeper staff, but i think a worm staff would be good for the corruption, the more summons, the longer the worm, but instead of the tiger staff or abigail or the stardust dragon, each segment does its own damage as it dashes at targets from nearby ground. the dark caster staff... not much a fan of that one, i think it'd be a lot better as the cursed skull scepter. summoning cursed skulls to ram into enemies, causing confusion(because the curse debuff only really works on players...) the night's legatus could be the dark moon or something like that. other than those, i have nothing to mention! super cool stuff!
I'm not sure why Terra Totem should immediately take all summon slots, instead of getting gradually stronger with each one, like Desert Tiger, Abigail or Stardust Dragon
This is actually so cool. my one critique is everything but the Terra Tome and the Terra Throw are a little weak for the stage of the game you get them. Otherwise I am going to be using this mod in all my playthroughs! Keep up the awesome work!

Terra tome sounds like teratome - stem cell malfunction, that, akin to cancer, makes growth, but unlike cancerous, teratoma growth produces extra teeth, bones and other body parts and tissue, that shouldn't be there, but it's often not life-threatening
I would love to know for instance with the staff, if it has both colors on for the worthy, i play with both corruptions bc i like it so yeah, it would be great if you did something there
the bows seem pretty weak before the terra tier, and the dark caster staff looks like the only viable pre mech summon weapon
some of the hardmode upgrades look pretty overpowered, with the high damage and the insane amount of times they can hit an enemy

I don’t know if you’re taming suggestions but I saw someone else do it so I’m gonna ask also. You should add more magic missile type weapons. They’re maybe my favorite subclass and the only true magic subclass imo (staves and books work exactly the same for the most part), so its a shame there are only three of them (and I think the first one sucks).
I haven't played the mod but Night's Tome looks pretty broken (at close range). It could probably annihilate the WoF in like 15 seconds.

You need all the jungle weapons to easily SHRED early game bosses and and the other weapons be okay but not as effective.
