This can't be accurate, every zombie film I've ever seen shows quite clearly that it only takes one or two zombies to take down the entire military of any country!

They would be easy to take down down, no cover, all bunched up, and the heavier calibers would shred multiple targets in a nice row. Even if they weren't destroyed outright, they would be functionally out of the game. Now, ammo running out and or barrel swap outs would be another matter.
Seeing MATVs in common use is wild. My company got used to test out these vehicles when the Army ordered them. Im curious if they heeded all our criticisms. I was in the infantry from 2006 to 2012
A lot of the lessons learned from the M-ATV went into designing and fielding the JLTV which is effectively phasing out the up-armored Humvees in frontline and near-frontline roles.
"The mainstream media" as such doesnt exist. You would know if you would actually take your time and watch some news instead of writing lazy jokes about it.
If the military had infinite ammo or a squad about 3 times this size it would make more sense. I mean the holes from the mortars would slow them down too but c'mon. More than half of those bullets weren't headshots so a majority of those zombies would be crawling still but others would be stumbling over the fallen one too. But that would also make headshots that much harder. Not to mention the machine guns take time to reload, and they jam you're screwed. The automatic weaponry, while it misses more, makes a powerful difference in suppression. If you can't score a headshot, knock em down. Leave the headshots to the riflemen.

It's actually much more similar to the L4D2 zombies (or infected since they arent actually mindless). In this sense. These zombies are basically your standard humans infected with a rabies like virus which makes them extremely aggressive. Any guns shots that are of a high enough calibre (or just shoot them enough times) And then they WILL go down. Just like any other human who gets shot enough times.

However even considering the typing of zombies some would still be crawling and even assuming the ones that went "down" were actually dead that entire blockade would not have been able to effectively hold accurate fire on a crowd that dense. Some zombies wouldn't even go down that easily and would effectively serve as meatshields until the shock caught up with them or they were hit again until finally going down, some would even have the strength to get right back up after hitting the ground and keep running. Despite what some people might have you believe, gunshots to the torso more often than not require follow up or time to kill you. You have a higher chance of dying almost right away if your spine or heart is hit but even then it's not guaranteed you'll die within the first few minutes. At the rate they were having to burn through ammunition they'd have had to have fallen back in a realistic scenario. Even with the automatic weapons there's simply not enough men to suppress this charge effectively. If even one guy went down it would all go downhill from there.

And about some zombies not going down all that easily: I know that some zombies have mutated strengths to their advantage which could tipped the battle in their favour. But from what is shown from the video; There isn't any zombies with that kind of strength or speed. I do still agree about the crawling zombies though. Some might still not be dead during the first minutes of being shot. But I bet if the military still saw some crawlers, they'd just pump a few more shots to the head since i assume it's much easier to do so when the zombies are slower and their mass is more exposed. However. It is still possible that some crawlers simply might not be spotted during the chaos of all of it. So i can still understand why one guy might get bitten and everything goes downhill from there.
@@F-dips Problem with the crawlers is they're now pretty low to the ground, and any time you spend trying to nail one of them is time you're not spraying ammo at the army of sprinters. And alot of them are going to be getting hit in the legs and non-vital areas because of how inaccurate you're going to be firing an assault weapon.
I don't know about that, I guess they would be like reptiles and be about the same temperature as the surrounding but if you take the time that takes into account because the body isn't actively trying to be the same temperature they would always differ from the surrounding temperature because of the changes. Let's take the day / night circle into account and the fact that meat doesn't really is known to hold the same temperatures on its own and you would have a thermal difference. To be honest though: some of the differences could be pretty minor and I don't know the sensitivity of mili grade thermal cameras.
I have a question tho, how would this what if influence the true zombie apocalypse. Zombies for some reason has almost limitless stamina. Zombies are always as strong as an Andreline boosted human, (meaning their "base form" is as strong as a Andrelined boosted human), Durability stays the same. Zombies will not die unless complete destruction of the brain, meaning a half-destroyed head is still "alive" Zombies would crawl when they lose their limbs, even if there are holes in their body they continue running non-stop
Also: would they be affected by decomposition / decaying? Would animals be infected? And if so, could birds for example still fly? Because if they could, it would be impossible to contain it. I mean rats are already very hard to contain, especially without preparation.
Tanks crushing them, easy. Alright, let's say that there're 50,000 zombies in an urban area, and the military is sent there to stop 'em. The Itelligence would find out the zombies' advantages and disadvantages. Then they would be equipped with the right gear(unlike in WWZ book lol). Next is the use of explosives, it can kill those zombie in the epicenter and destroy the limbs of those in the shockwave radius, which means it can kill and slow the zombie down which will make it easier for the infantries to do their jobs. You might say that the zombie can crawl even with no limbs, sir, you can't crawl with the same speed as when you run, so the military might just carpet bomb the area, then send infantries there to clear the area, prove is that in WWZ, a group of F-35 jets bombed the zombie horde, and that stopped a wave, killing lots of zombies. But still, just use tanks and run over them, they would be crushed to piece. Strategy leads to victory, so bro, stop watching Hollywood movie, a horde of those human like stuff can't run over a military base, if they can irl, then the world's military would just send a bunch of troops to run toward a base lol.
Why, in none of these videos (however well done they are), does any military unit *not* have final protective fire already targeted and firing? Set for air-burst for that matter? Zombies in the area will be shredded and all the infantry will need to do is mop-up.🤔

Can someone explain how a zombie- ok, even a horde of zombies- can take out a tank? Kinda hard chewing through all that armor. Yes, the tank can run out of bullets. Then it can drive forward and run them over for a really long time. Zombies won't even hide, they will rush forward to get turned into paste under the tracks. Eventually I guess you run out of gas, and that's when they get you. But you can sit inside a tank for a long time munching those MREs until that happens. I think eventually the Army would win.
