The reason the gate still opened was because she clinically died because of all the damage. The only reason she lives was bc eleven used her telekinesis to make her heart start pumping again
Do we know that it was telekinesis or does El having healing powers the way Venca was killing bunnies when he was younger and sucking the lives out of them? The whole point of Brenner's work was getting El to remember that she was stronger than we had ever seen in any previous season. They have made it a point to make them opposites where they use opposite hands for their powers and they use opposite emotions.
Thats what I've been thinking! Everyone keeps freaking out about "healing powers" when more than likely all eleven did was just make her heart pump with her mind powers, like some Jedi CPR type stuff.
I actually heavily agree with this theory. When Eleven entered Max's mind no one was there. That doesn't mean she's dead however. She's most likely going to be the will in season 1, hiding from Vecna in his mind until she can somehow escape and help the gang. The thought about her getting powers is also really cool to think about. Like you said, she'll most likely be able to have something like Vecna's powers. Being able to use trauma to lure them and eventually kill them. Maybe Max will be able to use vecna's traumatic past against him, making him vulnerable for the team to eventually finish him. Season 5 will be the endgame of Stranger Things so I'm excited to see what the duffer brothers have in store.
This was the comment I was looking for! Characters kept saying that Vecna doesn't just kill his victims, but consumes them. Then it stands to reason that all those that were killed are 'within' him somewhere.
I think the Duffers may have misspoke. If Max is brain dead then she's dead. There's no coming back from that. Plus she isn't on a ventilator to breathe for her which she would need if she were actually brain dead. Also Lucas said the doctors didn't know if Max would ever wake up. If she were brain dead they would know that she never would. Just my opinion
I really think Vecna is in her and using her and that's why shes "braindead" that's why the gate opened AGAIN at the very end bc it closed after the "earthquake" and 11 bringing her back so how did he open it AGAIN? No videos dive that deep yet ? The ppl wouldve saw the Gates on the news and all that if it was there but it wasnt so how did he open it at the VERY end? MAX? They also don't show her eyes if they're normal or grey... but I like your opinion too that's just 1 of mine
I feel like 8 is going to come back having the powers she does, is going to go into Max’s mind to go into vecnas mind. I saw a comment about Lucas’ sister who rolled a 20 in dnd. 11+1+8=20 which makes so much sense.
I hope so. Imagine being in one of the biggest shows in your generation, but you are center of the most hated episode. And it wasn't her fault or because it wasn't a interesting character.
Dustin also rolled an 11 when he missed. That could point to the fact that 11 failed to stop vecna, or that he failed to save Eddie, or it could have some other future meaning. It could also mean, however, that the above theory is reinforced. Now we just need someone to roll a 1 and an 8 in dnd. Those would both miss too though, yikes.

I think if you dont have enough oxygen to the brain for a certian amount of time you can go brain dead. She wasnt breathing for atleast a minute, so no oxygen was going to her brain
I think her brain was deprived of oxygen because her heart stopped beating. That’s how most brain death happened even if someone’s body is technically alive. The brain can only last so long without oxygen before not being able to recover so that might be it.
The idea of Eleven saving Max by starting her heart again isn’t super unrealistic given how Eleven killed some of the bad guys at the end season 1 by crippling their brains. Thats my take on it.
What people forget is 11’s powers are not magic, she cannot pass it on. It’s telekinesis. It’s mind control. Not Hogwarts Magic. If anything she gave enough energy to Max to get her heart pumping and blood flowing again, Will has some sort of telekinesis powers too and he will find Max and with his connection to Vecna somehow save Max while Elle goes for Vecna.
I, personally, don’t think that Eleven has healing powers but that she just restarted Max’s heart which she could theoretically do. Vecna didn’t have time to break many of her bones and she didn’t have much blood loss. The main thing that ‘killed her’ i think is probably her body going into some kind of shock. That probably is what killed her, so logically Eleven could restart her heart that little bit after her body goes into shock and dies, bringing her back to life. So it’s not healing powers, it’s more like a defibrillator. That being said, she will still definitely be dead and her brain will be at the very best VERY damaged.
Technically Vecna took her AND Eleven brought her back. So Eleven didn't heal her whole. She saved her body. If she had healing powers, Eleven would have restored Max. If 001 considers them as part of him, there's all kinds of possibilities. Like if he was forcing any of the demo creatures to kill outside of their actual nature, does that mean Barb or Bob could be restored? They'll have to figure it out and place a limit on it because this could spiral out really far
It would probably be only be people directly killed by vecna or something he was directly controlling, because it’s still unclear if vecna is the leader or if the mind flayer is
maybe people could only be restored if they have a body. Like max's body is still intact but barb, bob and sadly eddie's bodies are probably all decomposed rn while max's body is being kept alive by machines like a veggie :(
Personally I hope they don't restore Max's eye sight, I want to see the consequences of their risky plan and also we just don't see all too many blind characters and I think it'd be a good route to go down for Max, they had an entire season exploring the consequences for Will being in the upside down too long so I think it fits in perfectly well to have Max's consequences be explored or at least touched upon
I so agree it would add something more realistic because eleven can't heal so there really isn't much ways she can get her eye sight back unless the directors make a way for her to get her eye sight back like the go back In time or whatever.
Would be interesting if, assuming they free her from being 'consumed' by Vecna, she retains the blindness but gains some sort of connection with him. Such as Will's connection after spitting up that slug.
This is all just speculation, but what I was thinking was that maybe Max will be the reverse of Will during season 2. Maybe 11 can use Max to get intel on Vecna and the upside down just as Vecna used Will to get intel on the normal world and 11. Another thing I was thinking of while watching this was the DND battle in episode 1 of season 4. Dustin rolled an 11 while they were trying to defeat Vecna (which didn’t work). However, Erica rolled a perfect 20. 11+8+1= 20. Maybe 8 could make a return? (Also please don’t tell me that 20 is the best roll in DND, I already know that and I’m just theorizing on possible symbology in the show.)
If 8 returns it will be really interesting Because 8 is an illusionist. So they might be able tk not only piggyback into Vecna's mind but hide from him using 8's illusionist powers and trick him into seeing things in his own mind/memory that aren't actually there.
I think 8 will return but she will end up siding with Vecna and be by his side the way he always wanted El to be. Having 8 come back and El thinking of her as an ally to only end up being betrayed by her would set El to realize that it’s not going to be just her powers alone to defeat Vecna but her powers with Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, Nancy, Jonathan, Steve, Joyce and Hopper. So 11 + the 9 original characters that helped to win in Season 1. The rest of the characters like Max, Erica, Robin, Murray and even Argyle will be there for the final battle, but El and the original 9 will serve the critical hit that was foreshadowed when Dustin rolled the 11 and it wasn’t enough but when Erica rolled the 20 to defeat Vecna.
I definitely think Max's escape from Vecna then the way she, though unsuccessfully, tried to hide from him in her good memories, could mean she will exist as a mind travelling character. This could also encompass inherited powers from El! Man, Can't frickin' wait!

So here’s what I think: Vecna’s lair is in his mind, it’s not in the upside down, so he takes his victims consciousness and brings it into his own mind. Eleven restarted her heart but didn’t bring her consciousness back from Vecna’s mind, SO Eleven needs to figure out a way to bring Max’s consciousness FROM Vecna’s mind to Max’s body. I have no idea how that would work. Maybe Eleven needs to transport Max’s consciousness inside her own head and put it in Max’s body?
If that was the case i think in theory since his lair is in his mind like u said they can use music to escape since thats how max escaped the first time
But in season 4 episode 9, the mind lair dissappeared, it vanished. Maybe the mind lair is still existing but different, maybe now is that Black hole that El sees in Max's mind. And Max is hiding somewhere deep, to not be found by Vecna. Yes, the music could work. I think the music is the most viable option.

Hear me out. I was never a huge Eddie fan but I was thinking about my dungeons and dragons knowledge and the season five poster and I think you should make a video about this. First off, in dungeons and dragons there is a character who is lord Vecnas right hand man who breaks off from him and this is because of his sword, the sword that hopper kills the demogorgon with. He becomes a character who does good, he dies from being bit by bats. After he reincarnates he becomes a vampire and is immortal. Secondly, in the stranger things season five poster there is a figure in the clouds that looks like a human with long curly hair, also the duffers said there would be no new characters so therefore if the shape is a human then this is something!
Couldn't El share some of her memories with Max to potentially wake her up from the coma? Like obviously still with some amnesia, but El sharing the memories she has had with Max and the group? Maybe channel what Lucas says from the outside/real world?
@Syzz1x We know there is a time jump from the Duffers and we know El needs to practice with her powers. The Duffers really compare this to Return of the Jedi so Luke lost to Vader and lost a hand in the fight. Solo was also in carbonite with Jabba (like Hopper in Russia?). El needed to lose this fight and the Duffers couldn't take a hand from El. They needed her to lose something and this gives her a loss and reason to work on her powers with the time jump happening. She will need more than telekinesis to defeat Vecna. El has to up her game and practice so she can "learn to fly" as Brenner said. She may need happiness and friends to defeat Vecna which he sees as weaknesses as she will defend them when it is the opposite and friends are a strength for her and Love is how she defeated 001 in the first place. Vecna had no friends and was not loved like El was told she was loved by Mike and is treated like a daughter by Hopper and Joyce.
i know some people might disagree because they wanted a main character to die, but i'm glad they didn't kill max. i don't think killing her off would've sent a good message AT ALL considering she's a kid who's been dealing with s*icidal ideation (+ vecna in vol 1 kind of represented max's ptsd, survivor's guilt and depression) and was just starting to get better at the end of episode 4 and realize there are people who care about her and that she has things to live for. episode 4 ended with such a powerful message. killing her off would send the message that no matter what, no matter how hard you fight, you could never overcome your depression. and that's just a horrible message. (+the duffers said max being in a coma instead of dying is extremely important for the plot of season 5 and not just "cheating death". i definitely think her soul is still alive in vecna's mind and she might play a key role finding a way to defeat him from within) as far as how she survived i find it pretty obvious and not as unrealistic as people make it out to be. el used her telekinesis powers to basically perform intense cpr on max pumping her heart until it started beating again on its own. and we already know she can do these kind of stuff. remember when she made the bully from s1 pee his pants? or when she got the chip out of 001? el doesn't "suddenly have healing powers", she just restarted max's heart like a defibrillator does lol. that's why max is still injured and in a coma, el didn't "heal" her, just made her heart beat again.
I wrote this like 30 times in the comments but I think Vecna is in control of her body but since shes in the coma he cant use her like Will and that's why the 4 gates opened AGAIN at the very end bc even tho 11 bringing her back shut the 4 gates (bc the town didnt show any of it or know before the last 2 min) and since hes in Max that's why it opened AGAIN and brought it into our dimension (theirs) they dont show if her eyes are grey or normal and I also think shes running and hiding at the moment dodging him or he doesnt care bc he needs her at the moment?

It's hard to say what will happen to max but I don't think the Duffer brothers would have kept her in a coma if they weren't bringing her back in season 5. I don't think Max will have powers or have such a big part as in season 4, I think season 5 is going to be more centered around Will and his connection to Vecna. I think Eleven and Will, will work together.
El was able to bring her back because she went and visited her trauma, which allowed her to become stronger and learn new abilities, HENCE why El never passed out after using her powers, like taking out the helicopter, if she did that in season 3 she would’ve been done for the whole episode
My theory, I believe that El is going to find out how to time travel and/or alter the past. In short, I think she’ll realize that the only way to prevent it all and to keep it from happening in the future/present is to let herself die so that there’s no chance on the portal ever being opened in the first place. She will cease to exist and it will begin back in season 1 with the younger og group (the date that the portal was opened, just like the upside down showing it was created on the date she opened the portal). Think, the original Jumanji style, after they win the game and go right back where they started. The involved characters in the game keep the memory of what happened but the rest of Hawkins will be wiped back to when it all started and they will never know anything happened, THUS “bringing” everyone back to life. Eddie most importantly 😉 dude was a phenomenal character, I’m super bummed he’s gone. For now
I kinda don't like the idea of time travel because it always kind of..takes away the consequences? If that's the right way to put it. I think it would be cooler if Max is 'stuck' in Vecna's mind and her being there will give them the edge they need to defeat him. Max could remain blind, but perhaps gaining a similar power of connection that Will has. Or more. And all the destruction that happened to Hawkins stays and they rebuilt. Hawkins was already becoming famous for strange occurrences, so all the earthquakes and destruction fit right in perfectly. Though a harkening back to the first episodes is a nice idea, I'd like to see something like that.
my theory is that when they inevitably kill vecna and the mind flayer cause they definitly have a connection, not only will the portals close, but also the upside down will die and i think maxes soul and memorys and all of that will return, but like michael said, she must have some role in season five so she must be there for somthing else as well, maybe to be inhabited by the mind flayer?
I remember in season 3 seiing a scene which noboddy talks about where we can see the mind flayer with a lot of dead people in dark and I think I saw will and some other. Would it be possible that these people left a part of them mind into the mind flayer so into vecna mind ??? If there was will it would say that he has also a part of his mind in vecnas. I don’t know why people think Max is brain dead. Her heart starting pumping on its own after being off for a couple of minutes. The heart needs a signal from the brain to do so. Also 11 did not revive or heal Max, but just pushed memories through her for her brain to keep fighting. She’s currently in a coma because she’s healing from the damage, not brain dead. You can’t be revived if your brain dead. Edit: scientifically she wouldn’t be able to wake up if she was brain dead, but since there is magic and everything in stranger things, that throws everything out the window
I mean the heart also has its own electrical start they are able to pump without a brain they do it all the time while testing for science so technically it’s possible that she is brain dead. Breathing would be like what you said but they have the oxygen tube in her, but it’s possible she’s brain dead.
The Duffers have said she's brain dead. That's why everyone thinks that. Also, the heart doesn't need the brain to beat. It's regulated by the brain stem.
That would actually be one of the worst ways to end the show. One of the best parts of the show is that they aren't afraid to kill some characters you care about (which is also why I think Max should've stayed dead).

I have been thinking that Max will attempt to contact the gang from the other side, just as Will did in season one. Such a plot point would also fit the Duffers' sharing that season five will hearken back to season one, bringing the series full circle. As for Vecna, he reminds me of Voldemort. For example, Vecna's lingering connection with Will is akin to Voldemort's connection to Harry: Perhaps Vecna left a piece of himself inside of Will. Maybe Will will discover he can look inside of Vecna. Furthermore, how Vecna sustains himself through his victims is like Voldemort's use of horcruxes. Besides the influence of the Upside Down, maybe this is an additional way that Vecna's appearance became more inhumane over time. Last, like Voldemort, Vecna takes a part of his arch nemesis - Eleven - to strengthen his own abilities. Maybe then, like Voldemort, all the traces of himself that Vecna has left behind will be the ultimate key to his downfall.

Everyone has heard the theory about vecna being Will's kidnapper in season one with the telekinesis and the dimension teleporter. I want to add that if u look at all the vecna models, tehy each have the same body style that matches the thought to be demogorgon figure
Actually i think max just died as a result ofwhat vecna did to her, but vecna didnt really kill her directly. Vecna didnt really absorb her. I think. Maybe not.
Breaking many bones could easily put someone into shock and pain beyond anything I can imagine. Breaking one or two bones is more than enough for me, plus she lost her eye sight so she could have went into cardiac arrest and Vecna didn't "finish" the job while he was being attacked and his demogorgons in Russia were being attacked and such.
What if when Steve, Nancy and Robin attacked vecna. he got out of Max's mind and and eleven got out of Max's mind too because she has already been in people's minds and she knows how to get out but max does not have powers what if she couldn't come out of her memories and now she is stuck in her mind
The duffer brothers were actually planning on killing max but they changed their minds and kept her but in a coma.I’m not sure what they will do next and I don’t know too much about the situation but that’s what I’ve heard
I think Max will survive Season 5, and I think she'll recover her vision. Vecna didn't destroy her eyes. He only caused them to film over as if she had cataracts. I think she'll help the Hawkins gang defeat him; and I think that when he's dead, she'll either spontaneously recover her sight or El will be able to heal her. I think she (and Will Byers) will have psychic abilities because of their experiences in the Upside Down. I hope that El and Will both survive, because Hopper and Joyce don't need to lose their children *again*. I think that together El and Will can close and seal the Portals. I'm not convinced that a lot of the kids will have to die fighting Vecna, although I think some of them may be harmed. I would be really sad if any other than Steve died. I've never liked that character. Once the crew defeats Vecna, they won't need a babysitter anymore. They'll have come of age.
THEORIES - So Kali (008) is going to make a comeback, and I know many of you have already heard this BUT instead of being on El's side she will be on Vecna's as she has been hurting the people who hurt her just like Henry Creel and that is why he is doing all this. And I don't know why but I'm think that Argyle might be a spy of Vecna. Max's chances are way higher but I mean like no one is going to suspect a thing from Argyle and the thing is that he doesn't know he's a spy. Jonathan is going to die, for sure. The reason Jonathan is going to die : The Duffer Brothers want season 5 to be emotional so Will is so emotionally attached to Jonathan, Steve's dream about 6 lil' Harrington nuggets so what if he dies and Steve and Nancy comeback together, and our we just going to ignore that he's keeping a secret from Nancy about his college and I think that he isn't interested in her anymore as their is such a giant gap between them. Max will get mind reading powers. Will is going to live in the darkness of hiding his feelings too much and Mike's going to realize that what Will wants and he is DEFINITELY getting the spotlight he deserves. Eddie is alive...duh. Suzie will join Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max and El's party. Like the Mind Flayer another is coming but more powerful than Vecna, The Tarrasque (as this is the most powerful D&D monster).
I worry that the ending we wont like is El going back in time and reversing everything so none of this ever happened and "taking it for the team" and never removing 001 chip from his neck. Max would never go blind, we don't know if any of the kids would ever be friends. Max may have moved there and just snubbed the boys and be fine and never went shopping with El. It would be sad.

I mean it opens it up to her having friendships with them but it would mean El taking on everything they all went through all her own.
I think when vecna "consumes" he takes their memories and trauma and it becomes part of his own as he says he wants them to join him in his head and that his powers grow stronger with each kill because he can feed off of the trauma and bad memories that he took to make his powers stronger

Good always wins bc the angry/bad ppl have nothing to live for or the power of love he only has hate so maybe if she practices that makes her twice as strong? So we don't even know how strong she really is right now I feel bc ahe underestimated him she was only at like half power also bc of the time limit she had to save Max? Basically she never went Full Power in season 4? Even against the helicopter!
Personally, I think 11 doesn’t have healing powers. She just gave telekinetic CPR- compressing/pumping the heart. Vecna didn’t finish killing her- the portal opened because she was clinically dead and was resuscitated via telekinetic CPR. Her body went into decompensated shock (what happens when your body has so much damage it can’t compensate for it) and you eventually go into heart failure. It makes sense to me!
Lucas would have definitely saved her and it’s possible that el would not have been able to fight Vecna in her mind. Also, mike wouldn’t have had a reason to tell her he loved her.
Lucas would play running up that hill and while El fights vecna El tells her to get out and she will kill Henry. She did so and El did defeat vecna anyway so vecna would still be injured and he wouldn’t be able to target max again cause he’s super hurt like Will said.
I think I know what's going to happen to Max in season 5. Here's what I predict... By the time Max's broken bones have healed, Vecna will use his powers to heal her eyesight so he can see through them. With this, he's going to posses Max. That way, he can listen to what the group is planning to do to stop him and while he pretends to be Max, Vecna will give them ideas so he can lure them into a trap. The group will slowly start to notice how Max isn't behaving like herself. Mostly El, Max's mom, and Lucas. For example, Max will show no interest on that movie date the two agreed on in The Piggyback. El decides to use her powers to enter Max's mind. When in there, she sees Vecna instead. El tells the group about this. She then informs everyone how she learned that when Vecna kills people, their consciousness lives in his mind. So El theorizes that if she goes into Vecna's mind, she could find Max and free her so she can regain control of her body. So El goes in and while in Vecna's mind, she won't just find Max. She sees all of the other victims he's killed in this mind prison, similar to his Mind Lair. Imagine prison cells made out of vines. Here in this place, we see the animals that Vecna tortured in his neighborhood as a child, his mother Virginia and sister Alice, the lives he took from the Massacre at Hawkins Lab Chrissy, Fred, Patrick, and possibly even the people in season 3 that were used to create the giant monster such as Heather and her parents. When El went looking for Heather in the void, Heather told El to save her at the point while Vecna placed stuff inside her body to already control her. Everyone that was used to create that monster was part of a hive mind, so I do think they're all in this prison. With that, I think that Billy is trapped there too. Even though Billy regained control of himself in his final moments in life, the infection that Vecna put in his body to take control of him didn't get out of him like how Nancy managed to get it out of Will's mouth at the end of season 2. So when Billy let out his dying breath in front of Max, I think that is when Vecna absorbed his consciousness. So when Max sees Billy in this Mind Prison, she'll at first think it's another trick by Vecna like how he pretended to be Billy at the cemetery or when he pretended to be her mother and Lucas. But Billy will assure it's really her. It'll be a tearful reunion. This is a way to give closure to the two. So while the two are trapped in this Mind Prison, Billy will tell her that he did indeed hear her letter to him since she was hoping he could hear her. Since Vecna was listening, Billy heard it too. Billy says that he agrees with her letter that he if he survived, he would've liked the both of them to be a real brother and sister with each other. For example, Billy would say he could've played a game at the arcade with her, taken her to any R rated movie she wanted, or even play a board game or charades with her and her mom so they can be a real family. Billy says that he wishes he gave Max's mom more respect since she was trying her best for him. He says that even though she was only his step mom, she was a better parent than his own dad. Billy can then say that he doesn't blame Max for originally wanting him to end up in a car accident because of how he treated her. Billy would apologize for everything he did to her and wishes he could take it all back. When El shows up and frees Max, El will free everyone else too. Just like what Dustin said in season 2 that you need to summon an undead army to attack the Mind Flayer because of brains, all of these dead people trapped in Vecna's mind would be symbolic to that idea. We can see all of the lab children using their powers to restrain Vecna. Virginia and Alice would say they're heartbroken from everything he's done, including how he caused Victor to be blamed for their deaths. Fred can then say what they're about to do to him is what he deserves for showing them their horrifying past and for even torturing Nancy with the vision of the future and for making her feel guilty over Barb. Patrick can then say it's also for Jason since he died when the gates opened and if he found out that Lucas was telling the truth, he would've helped them take down Vecna. Chrissy would then say it's also for Eddie since he was blamed for what happened in season 4. But I don't think they'll manage to kill Vecna in his mind. Just simply slow him down while El and Max escape. But before Max leaves Vecna's mind, she has one more moment with Billy. She says she wishes they don't have to say goodbye and that he can come with them. Billy then assures Max that thanks to El, he and the others are free and they can move on to the afterlife. With that, he and Max will be reunited someday. Max gives Billy one final hug and he says to her "I love you, sis." which makes her cry since now he's finally accepted her as his sister. She then says she loves him too before waking up. She sees the whole group around her. But her eyes are mainly focused on Lucas who hugs her. They cry as they hold each other and as a callback to the end of "Dear Billy", Max says how she's still here. She'll then hug her mom and everyone comes in for a group hug. That is when Max will reveal to everyone her idea on how to stop Vecna based on the idea of her looking at his memories and finding his weakness. There's just one problem with when Max wakes up. Since there's talks that they might do a time jump to 1989 to match the actors' current ages, it's possible that Max could be in her coma thing and be trapped in Vecna's mind for 3 whole years. Therefore, by the time she wakes up in her body, it won't be until the characters are graduating high school or when they are freshmen in college. Because if this is the case, Max will still technically be a high school freshman and she will need to take some sort of program in order to be at the same point her friends are so she can graduate with them.

Ok but here me out. Gang's trapped in a building being hunted by a pack of demodogs. A smaller red demogorgon shows up and kills them all. It approaches the gang, someone goes to shoot it, Will or El make them lower the gun because they don't feel evil from it. It goes up to Lucas and touches his face gently and gives him visions. Its Max, shes entered its mind to hide from Vecna and helps them escape. Vecna catches on and Demo-Max gets killed by something once the gang escapes and they all think shes actually dead and gone now. But at the end of the season when Vecna is defeated, she wakes up from the coma. That'd be so damn cool.
Vecna didn’t fully kill max, her eyes didn’t pop out and her jaw didn’t crack, so she’s was not fully dead, but vecna did crack her bones and almost kill her, but mikes speech made el so powerful she got just in time to finish him off. Now that doesn’t mean he didn’t kill her, she did die for 1 minute, but el some how brought her back to life. There is still a possibility she could die, but for right now she is in a coma, and there is nothing they can do about it. I still do hope she is in season 5 . She is blind and all her bones are broken, but they are taking a jump in the series so she might be better by than . Although she is probably going to be blind, she will still be my favorite character and if they kill her I am coming for the duffle brothers. lol. Max and robin are my favorite characters. And I have watched this show about 10 times. I can say every line out loud. So here is my theory.
I think Max will survive Season 5, and I think she'll recover her vision. Vecna didn't destroy her eyes. He only caused them to film over as if she had cataracts. I think she'll help the Hawkins gang defeat him; and I think that when he's dead, she'll either spontaneously recover her sight or El will be able to heal her. I think she (and Will Byers) will have psychic abilities because of their experiences in the Upside Down. I hope that El and Will both survive, because Hopper and Joyce don't need to lose their children *again*. I think that together El and Will can close and seal the Portals. I'm not convinced that a lot of the kids will have to die fighting Vecna, although I think some of them may be harmed. I would be really sad if any other than Steve died. I've never liked that character. Once the crew defeats Vecna, they won't need a babysitter anymore. They'll have come of age.
I agreed with you until you said you don't like Steve. He's been top 5 characters on the show since season 2. He's had better development and is more likable than some of the original series regulars from season 1.

yeah I think the battlefield in season 5 will mostly take place inside max's mind. I suspect 8 will be back as well to help take on 1. 8 is the master of illusion and that will keep 1 guessing and confused. I suspect Vecnas body is beaten up and vulnerable but he's hidden it well. So 11 and 8 need to confront and ultimately find where the actual body is so Steve and the gang can physically kill it.
I don’t think max is blind either. the connection between vecna and her half-broke, meaning vecna still had her eyes blocked, that’s why they were still white. i predict that next season she will still have her vision.
I think that vecna didn’t kill max all the way. Ajg222 is right her jaw never cracked vecna just killed her to get enough power and so he could open the gate through Hawkins and take what was his. Remember when Dr Sam Owen’s told El her powers can come back twice as strong. I think that is why eleven saved max. She never had those powers before or she would have used them. I don’t think max will get any powers from eleven or from vecna but she can hide now that vecna is hurt badly she can hide and stay hidden till Dustin Lucas Nancy all them figure out how to kill him for good. It would be stupid to kill max off. She isn’t gone not yet at least.
Max also was able to control her mind when vecna got to her. If you remember she was being hunted by billy and she “teleported” to her prom dance memory and stayed there. Vecna wasn’t able to keep her in one place because she was so strong and overpowered him. We haven’t seen anyone else do this yet. Edit: maybe max will be able to do this inside of vecnas head and find his weak points to use against him

Your right, if max had actually died, the duffer brothers wouldn't have put her in a coma, and El wouldn't have said max won't die. This is the most convincable theory i can think of, if you still don't think max is alive, i don't know what can make you think that.
I feel like Max would meet everyone Vecna has killed and they'll help her get into her body. After that, we might get a 2 years time skip and see Max fully recovered and able to walk. She may still be blind, but what if she has the power to see into the Upside Down. That is how they'll find Vecna and eventually defeat him.
Ok if anything max if they do decide to bring her back they need eleven's power to kill this crazy final boss but for one they must find a way to get the demo's on there side. So they should start with demo-dogs cause if we know one thing dustin does have a tiny relationship with D'artagnan so if they find way's to get them on there side they need the demo-dogs that way if they train dart they might be able to end up getting the Demogorgon. and since the demo-dog's turn into them then that way they might actually have a chance to use that and communicate but they need elle/eleven's power's so if they can do it so they need a distraction so that way one team can go and form the army and then weaken Vecna. it is possible for her to get her telekinesis back but we need some type of weakness but that could be a chance i would take if i were in this situation.

Do we know that it was telekinesis or does El having healing powers the way Venca was killing bunnies when he was younger and sucking the lives out of them? The whole point of Brenner's work was getting El to remember that she was stronger than we had ever seen in any previous season. They have made it a point to make them opposites where they use opposite hands for their powers and they use opposite emotions.

I actually heavily agree with this theory. When Eleven entered Max's mind no one was there. That doesn't mean she's dead however. She's most likely going to be the will in season 1, hiding from Vecna in his mind until she can somehow escape and help the gang. The thought about her getting powers is also really cool to think about. Like you said, she'll most likely be able to have something like Vecna's powers. Being able to use trauma to lure them and eventually kill them. Maybe Max will be able to use vecna's traumatic past against him, making him vulnerable for the team to eventually finish him. Season 5 will be the endgame of Stranger Things so I'm excited to see what the duffer brothers have in store.

I think the Duffers may have misspoke. If Max is brain dead then she's dead. There's no coming back from that. Plus she isn't on a ventilator to breathe for her which she would need if she were actually brain dead. Also Lucas said the doctors didn't know if Max would ever wake up. I hope so. Imagine being in one of the biggest shows in your generation, but you are center of the most hated episode. And it wasn't her fault or because it wasn't a interesting character.
Dustin also rolled an 11 when he missed. That could point to the fact that 11 failed to stop vecna, or that he failed to save Eddie, or it could have some other future meaning. It could also mean, however, that the above theory is reinforced. Now we just need someone to roll a 1 and an 8 in dnd. Those would both miss too though, yikes.

I think if you dont have enough oxygen to the brain for a certian amount of time you can go brain dead. She wasnt breathing for atleast a minute, so no oxygen was going to her brain
I think her brain was deprived of oxygen because her heart stopped beating. That’s how most brain death happened even if someone’s body is technically alive. The brain can only last so long without oxygen before not being able to recover so that might be it.
The idea of Eleven saving Max by starting her heart again isn’t super unrealistic given how Eleven killed some of the bad guys at the end season 1 by crippling their brains. Thats my take on it.

What people forget is 11’s powers are not magic, she cannot pass it on. It’s telekinesis. It’s mind control. Not Hogwarts Magic. If anything she gave enough energy to Max to get her heart pumping and blood flowing again, Will has some sort of telekinesis powers too and he will find Max and with his connection to Vecna somehow save Max while Elle goes for Vecna.
I, personally, don’t think that Eleven has healing powers but that she just restarted Max’s heart which she could theoretically do. Vecna didn’t have time to break many of her bones and she didn’t have much blood loss. The main thing that ‘killed her’ i think is probably her body going into some kind of shock. That probably is what killed her, so logically Eleven could restart her heart that little bit after her body goes into shock and dies, bringing her back to life. So it’s not healing powers, it’s more like a defibrillator.
That being said, she will still definitely be dead and her brain will be at the very best VERY damaged.
She’s also blind now.

Technically Vecna took her AND Eleven brought her back. So Eleven didn't heal her whole. She saved her body. If she had healing powers, Eleven would have restored Max. If 001 considers them as part of him, there's all kinds of possibilities. Like if he was forcing any of the demo creatures to kill outside of their actual nature, does that mean Barb or Bob could be restored? They'll have to figure it out and place a limit on it because this could spiral out really far

Personally I hope they don't restore Max's eye sight, I want to see the consequences of their risky plan and also we just don't see all too many blind characters and I think it'd be a good route to go down for Max, they had an entire season exploring the consequences for Will being in the upside down too long so I think it fits in perfectly well to have Max's consequences be explored or at least touched upon
I so agree it would add something more realistic because eleven can't heal so there really isn't much ways she can get her eye sight back unless the directors make a way for her to get her eye sight back like the go back In time or whatever.
Would be interesting if, assuming they free her from being 'consumed' by Vecna, she retains the blindness but gains some sort of connection with him. Such as Will's connection after spitting up that slug.
This is all just speculation, but what I was thinking was that maybe Max will be the reverse of Will during season 2. Maybe 11 can use Max to get intel on Vecna and the upside down just as Vecna used Will to get intel on the normal world and 11. Another thing I was thinking of while watching this was the DND battle in episode 1 of season 4. Dustin rolled an 11 while they were trying to defeat Vecna (which didn’t work). However, Erica rolled a perfect 20. 11+8+1= 20. Maybe 8 could make a return? (Also please don’t tell me that 20 is the best roll in DND, I already know that and I’m just theorizing on possible symbology in the show.)

Because 8 is an illusionist. So they might be able tk not only piggyback into Vecna's mind but hide from him using 8's illusionist powers and trick him into seeing things in his own mind/memory that aren't actually there.

Having 8 come back and El thinking of her as an ally to only end up being betrayed by her would set El to realize that it’s not going to be just her powers alone to defeat Vecna but her powers with Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, Nancy, Jonathan, Steve, Joyce and Hopper. So 11 + the 9 original characters that helped to win in Season 1. The rest of the characters like Max, Erica, Robin, Murray and even Argyle will be there for the final battle, but El and the original 9 will serve the critical hit that was foreshadowed when Dustin rolled the 11 and it wasn’t enough but when Erica rolled the 20 to defeat Vecna.

So here’s what I think: Vecna’s lair is in his mind, it’s not in the upside down, so he takes his victims consciousness and brings it into his own mind.
Eleven restarted her heart but didn’t bring her consciousness back from Vecna’s mind, SO Eleven needs to figure out a way to bring Max’s consciousness FROM Vecna’s mind to Max’s body. I have no idea how that would work. Maybe Eleven needs to transport Max’s consciousness inside her own head and put it in Max’s body?
If that was the case i think in theory since his lair is in his mind like u said they can use music to escape since thats how max escaped the first time

Hear me out. I was never a huge Eddie fan but I was thinking about my dungeons and dragons knowledge and the season five poster and I think you should make a video about this.
First off, in dungeons and dragons there is a character who is lord Vecnas right hand man who breaks off from him and this is because of his sword, the sword that hopper kills the demogorgon with. He becomes a character who does good, he dies from being bit by bats. After he reincarnates he becomes a vampire and is immortal. Secondly, in the stranger things season five poster there is a figure in the clouds that looks like a human with long curly hair, also the duffers said there would be no new characters so therefore if the shape is a human then this is something!

@Syzz1x We know there is a time jump from the Duffers and we know El needs to practice with her powers. The Duffers really compare this to Return of the Jedi so Luke lost to Vader and lost a hand in the fight. Solo was also in carbonite with Jabba (like Hopper in Russia?). El needed to lose this fight and the Duffers couldn't take a hand from El. They needed her to lose something and this gives her a loss and reason to work on her powers with the time jump happening. She will need more than telekinesis to defeat Vecna. El has to up her game and practice so she can "learn to fly" as Brenner said. She may need happiness and friends to defeat Vecna which he sees as weaknesses as she will defend them when it is the opposite and friends are a strength for her and Love is how she defeated 001 in the first place. Vecna had no friends and was not loved like El was told she was loved by Mike and is treated like a daughter by Hopper and Joyce.

i know some people might disagree because they wanted a main character to die, but i'm glad they didn't kill max. i don't think killing her off would've sent a good message AT ALL considering she's a kid who's been dealing with s*icidal ideation (+ vecna in vol 1 kind of represented max's ptsd, survivor's guilt and depression) and was just starting to get better at the end of episode 4 and realize there are people who care about her and that she has things to live for.
episode 4 ended with such a powerful message. killing her off would send the message that no matter what, no matter how hard you fight, you could never overcome your depression. and that's just a horrible message.
(+the duffers said max being in a coma instead of dying is extremely important for the plot of season 5 and not just "cheating death". i definitely think her soul is still alive in vecna's mind and she might play a key role finding a way to defeat him from within)
as far as how she survived i find it pretty obvious and not as unrealistic as people make it out to be. el used her telekinesis powers to basically perform intense cpr on max pumping her heart until it started beating again on its own. and we already know she can do these kind of stuff. remember when she made the bully from s1 pee his pants? or when she got the chip out of 001? el doesn't "suddenly have healing powers", she just restarted max's heart like a defibrillator does lol. that's why max is still injured and in a coma, el didn't "heal" her, just made her heart beat again.

It's hard to say what will happen to max but I don't think the Duffer brothers would have kept her in a coma if they weren't bringing her back in season 5. I don't think Max will have powers or have such a big part as in season 4, I think season 5 is going to be more centered around Will and his connection to Vecna. I think Eleven and Will, will work together.
They also didn’t say the last 30 wouldn’t make everyone happy they said “you can’t please everyone & we want to stick the landing”

My theory, I believe that El is going to find out how to time travel and/or alter the past. In short, I think she’ll realize that the only way to prevent it all and to keep it from happening in the future/present is to let herself die so that there’s no chance on the portal ever being opened in the first place. She will cease to exist and it will begin back in season 1 with the younger og group (the date that the portal was opened, just like the upside down showing it was created on the date she opened the portal). Think, the original Jumanji style, after they win the game and go right back where they started. The involved characters in the game keep the memory of what happened but the rest of Hawkins will be wiped back to when it all started and they will never know anything happened, THUS “bringing” everyone back to life. Eddie most importantly 😉 dude was a phenomenal character, I’m super bummed he’s gone. For now
I kinda don't like the idea of time travel because it always kind of..takes away the consequences? If that's the right way to put it. I think it would be cooler if Max is 'stuck' in Vecna's mind and her being there will give them the edge they need to defeat him. Max could remain blind, but perhaps gaining a similar power of connection that Will has. Or more. And all the destruction that happened to Hawkins stays and they rebuilt. Hawkins was already becoming famous for strange occurrences, so all the earthquakes and destruction fit right in perfectly. Though a harkening back to the first episodes is a nice idea, I'd like to see something like that.

my theory is that when they inevitably kill vecna and the mind flayer cause they definitly have a connection, not only will the portals close, but also the upside down will die and i think maxes soul and memorys and all of that will return, but like michael said, she must have some role in season five so she must be there for somthing else as well, maybe to be inhabited by the mind flayer?

I don’t know why people think Max is brain dead. Her heart starting pumping on its own after being off for a couple of minutes. The heart needs a signal from the brain to do so. Also 11 did not revive or heal Max, but just pushed memories through her for her brain to keep fighting. She’s currently in a coma because she’s healing from the damage, not brain dead. You can’t be revived if your brain dead.
Edit: scientifically she wouldn’t be able to wake up if she was brain dead, but since there is magic and everything in stranger things, that throws everything out the window
I mean the heart also has its own electrical start they are able to pump without a brain they do it all the time while testing for science so technically it’s possible that she is brain dead. That would actually be one of the worst ways to end the show. One of the best parts of the show is that they aren't afraid to kill some characters you care about (which is also why I think Max should've stayed dead).

I have been thinking that Max will attempt to contact the gang from the other side, just as Will did in season one. Such a plot point would also fit the Duffers' sharing that season five will hearken back to season one, bringing the series full circle. As for Vecna, he reminds me of Voldemort. For example, Vecna's lingering connection with Will is akin to Voldemort's connection to Harry: Perhaps Vecna left a piece of himself inside of Will. Maybe Will will discover he can look inside of Vecna. Furthermore, how Vecna sustains himself through his victims is like Voldemort's use of horcruxes. Besides the influence of the Upside Down, maybe this is an additional way that Vecna's appearance became more inhumane over time. Last, like Voldemort, Vecna takes a part of his arch nemesis - Eleven - to strengthen his own abilities. Maybe then, like Voldemort, all the traces of himself that Vecna has left behind will be the ultimate key to his downfall.

Actually i think max just died as a result ofwhat vecna did to her, but vecna didnt really kill her directly. Vecna didnt really absorb her. I think. Maybe not.
Breaking many bones could easily put someone into shock and pain beyond anything I can imagine. Breaking one or two bones is more than enough for me, plus she lost her eye sight so she could have went into cardiac arrest and Vecna didn't "finish" the job while he was being attacked and his demogorgons in Russia were being attacked and such.

I think Max will survive Season 5, and I think she'll recover her vision. Vecna didn't destroy her eyes. He only caused them to film over as if she had cataracts. I think she'll help the Hawkins gang defeat him; and I think that when he's dead, she'll either spontaneously recover her sight or El will be able to heal her. I think she (and Will Byers) will have psychic abilities because of their experiences in the Upside Down. I hope that El and Will both survive, because Hopper and Joyce don't need to lose their children *again*. I think that together El and Will can close and seal the Portals. I'm not convinced that a lot of the kids will have to die fighting Vecna, although I think some of them may be harmed. I would be really sad if any other than Steve died. I've never liked that character. Once the crew defeats Vecna, they won't need a babysitter anymore. They'll have come of age.

So Kali (008) is going to make a comeback, and I know many of you have already heard this BUT instead of being on El's side she will be on Vecna's as she has been hurting the people who hurt her just like Henry Creel and that is why he is doing all this. And I don't know why but I'm think that Argyle might be a spy of Vecna. Max's chances are way higher but I mean like no one is going to suspect a thing from Argyle and the thing is that he doesn't know he's a spy. Jonathan is going to die, for sure. The reason Jonathan is going to die : The Duffer Brothers want season 5 to be emotional so Will is so emotionally attached to Jonathan, Steve's dream about 6 lil' Harrington nuggets so what if he dies and Steve and Nancy comeback together, and our we just going to ignore that he's keeping a secret from Nancy about his college and I think that he isn't interested in her anymore as their is such a giant gap between them. Max will get mind reading powers. Will is going to live in the darkness of hiding his feelings too much and Mike's going to realize that what Will wants and he is DEFINITELY getting the spotlight he deserves. Eddie is alive...duh. Suzie will join Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max and El's party. Like the Mind Flayer another is coming but more powerful than Vecna, The Tarrasque (as this is the most powerful D&D monster).

Max would never go blind, we don't know if any of the kids would ever be friends. Max may have moved there and just snubbed the boys and be fine and never went shopping with El. It would be sad.

I think when vecna "consumes" he takes their memories and trauma and it becomes part of his own as he says he wants them to join him in his head and that his powers grow stronger with each kill because he can feed off of the trauma and bad memories that he took to make his powers stronger

Personally, I think 11 doesn’t have healing powers. She just gave telekinetic CPR- compressing/pumping the heart. Vecna didn’t finish killing her- the portal opened because she was clinically dead and was resuscitated via telekinetic CPR. Her body went into decompensated shock (what happens when your body has so much damage it can’t compensate for it) and you eventually go into heart failure. It makes sense to me!

Lucas would have definitely saved her and it’s possible that el would not have been able to fight Vecna in her mind. Also, mike wouldn’t have had a reason to tell her he loved her.
Lucas would play running up that hill and while El fights vecna El tells her to get out and she will kill Henry. She did so and El did defeat vecna anyway so vecna would still be injured and he wouldn’t be able to target max again cause he’s super hurt like Will said.
I think I know what's going to happen to Max in season 5. Here's what I predict...
By the time Max's broken bones have healed, Vecna will use his powers to heal her eyesight so he can see through them. With this, he's going to posses Max. That way, he can listen to what the group is planning to do to stop him and while he pretends to be Max, Vecna will give them ideas so he can lure them into a trap. The group will slowly start to notice how Max isn't behaving like herself. Mostly El, Max's mom, and Lucas. For example, Max will show no interest on that movie date the two agreed on in The Piggyback. El decides to use her powers to enter Max's mind. When in there, she sees Vecna instead. El tells the group about this. She then informs everyone how she learned that when Vecna kills people, their consciousness lives in his mind. So El theorizes that if she goes into Vecna's mind, she could find Max and free her so she can regain control of her body. So El goes in and while in Vecna's mind, she won't just find Max. She sees all of the other victims he's killed in this mind prison, similar to his Mind Lair. Imagine prison cells made out of vines. Here in this place, we see the animals that Vecna tortured in his neighborhood as a child, his mother Virginia and sister Alice, the lives he took from the Massacre at Hawkins Lab Chrissy, Fred, Patrick, and possibly even the people in season 3 that were used to create the giant monster such as Heather and her parents. When El went looking for Heather in the void, Heather told El to save her at the point while Vecna placed stuff inside her body to already control her. Everyone that was used to create that monster was part of a hive mind, so I do think they're all in this prison. With that, I think that Billy is trapped there too. Even though Billy regained control of himself in his final moments in life, the infection that Vecna put in his body to take control of him didn't get out of him like how Nancy managed to get it out of Will's mouth at the end of season 2. So when Billy let out his dying breath in front of Max, I think that is when Vecna absorbed his consciousness. So when Max sees Billy in this Mind Prison, she'll at first think it's another trick by Vecna like how he pretended to be Billy at the cemetery or when he pretended to be her mother and Lucas. But Billy will assure it's really her. It'll be a tearful reunion. This is a way to give closure to the two. So while the two are trapped in this Mind Prison, Billy will tell her that he did indeed hear her letter to him since she was hoping he could hear her. Since Vecna was listening, Billy heard it too. Billy says that he agrees with her letter that he if he survived, he would've liked the both of them to be a real brother and sister with each other. For example, Billy would say he could've played a game at the arcade with her, taken her to any R rated movie she wanted, or even play a board game or charades with her and her mom so they can be a real family. Billy says that he wishes he gave Max's mom more respect since she was trying her best for him. He says that even though she was only his step mom, she was a better parent than his own dad. Billy can then say that he doesn't blame Max for originally wanting him to end up in a car accident because of how he treated her. Billy would apologize for everything he did to her and wishes he could take it all back. When El shows up and frees Max, El will free everyone else too. Just like what Dustin said in season 2 that you need to summon an undead army to attack the Mind Flayer because of brains, all of these dead people trapped in Vecna's mind would be symbolic to that idea. We can see all of the lab children using their powers to restrain Vecna. Virginia and Alice would say they're heartbroken from everything he's done, including how he caused Victor to be blamed for their deaths. Fred can then say what they're about to do to him is what he deserves for showing them their horrifying past and for even torturing Nancy with the vision of the future and for making her feel guilty over Barb. Patrick can then say it's also for Jason since he died when the gates opened and if he found out that Lucas was telling the truth, he would've helped them take down Vecna. Chrissy would then say it's also for Eddie since he was blamed for what happened in season 4. But I don't think they'll manage to kill Vecna in his mind. Just simply slow him down while El and Max escape. But before Max leaves Vecna's mind, she has one more moment with Billy. She says she wishes they don't have to say goodbye and that he can come with them. Billy then assures Max that thanks to El, he and the others are free and they can move on to the afterlife. With that, he and Max will be reunited someday. Max gives Billy one final hug and he says to her "I love you, sis." which makes her cry since now he's finally accepted her as his sister. She then says she loves him too before waking up. She sees the whole group around her. But her eyes are mainly focused on Lucas who hugs her. They cry as they hold each other and as a callback to the end of "Dear Billy", Max says how she's still here. She'll then hug her mom and everyone comes in for a group hug. That is when Max will reveal to everyone her idea on how to stop Vecna based on the idea of her looking at his memories and finding his weakness. There's just one problem with when Max wakes up. Since there's talks that they might do a time jump to 1989 to match the actors' current ages, it's possible that Max could be in her coma thing and be trapped in Vecna's mind for 3 whole years. Therefore, by the time she wakes up in her body, it won't be until the characters are graduating high school or when they are freshmen in college. Because if this is the case, Max will still technically be a high school freshman and she will need to take some sort of program in order to be at the same point her friends are so she can graduate with them.

Ok but here me out.
Gang's trapped in a building being hunted by a pack of demodogs. A smaller red demogorgon shows up and kills them all. It approaches the gang, someone goes to shoot it, Will or El make them lower the gun because they don't feel evil from it. It goes up to Lucas and touches his face gently and gives him visions.
Its Max, shes entered its mind to hide from Vecna and helps them escape. Vecna catches on and Demo-Max gets killed by something once the gang escapes and they all think shes actually dead and gone now. But at the end of the season when Vecna is defeated, she wakes up from the coma.
That'd be so damn cool.

Vecna didn’t fully kill max, her eyes didn’t pop out and her jaw didn’t crack, so she’s was not fully dead, but vecna did crack her bones and almost kill her, but mikes speech made el so powerful she got just in time to finish him off. Now that doesn’t mean he didn’t kill her, she did die for 1 minute, but el some how brought her back to life. There is still a possibility she could die, but for right now she is in a coma, and there is nothing they can do about it. I still do hope she is in season 5 . She is blind and all her bones are broken, but they are taking a jump in the series so she might be better by than . yeah I think the battlefield in season 5 will mostly take place inside max's mind. I suspect 8 will be back as well to help take on 1. 8 is the master of illusion and that will keep 1 guessing and confused. I suspect Vecnas body is beaten up and vulnerable but he's hidden it well. So 11 and 8 need to confront and ultimately find where the actual body is so Steve and the gang can physically kill it.
Just want to say, Jason may have been a very important villain in season 4 but we all know that the real villain was truly Angela.

I don’t think max is blind either. the connection between vecna and her half-broke, meaning vecna still had her eyes blocked, that’s why they were still white. i predict that next season she will still have her vision.
I think that vecna didn’t kill max all the way. Ajg222 is right her jaw never cracked vecna just killed her to get enough power and so he could open the gate through Hawkins and take what was his. Remember when Dr Sam Owen’s told El her powers can come back twice as strong. I think that is why eleven saved max. She never had those powers before or she would have used them. I don’t think max will get any powers from eleven or from vecna but she can hide now that vecna is hurt badly she can hide and stay hidden till Dustin Lucas Nancy all them figure out how to kill him for good. It would be stupid to kill max off. She isn’t gone not yet at least.
Max also was able to control her mind when vecna got to her. If you remember she was being hunted by billy and she “teleported” to her prom dance memory and stayed there. Vecna wasn’t able to keep her in one place because she was so strong and overpowered him. We haven’t seen anyone else do this yet.

Max is still alive. If you hear closely at the doctors in the end literally tell the kids “she somehow died and came back alive, just her bones are broken and getting better and she is blind currently.”

Your right, if max had actually died, the duffer brothers wouldn't have put her in a coma, and El wouldn't have said max won't die. This is the most convincable theory i can think of, if you still don't think max is alive, i don't know what can make you think that.
I feel like Max would meet everyone Vecna has killed and they'll help her get into her body. After that, we might get a 2 years time skip and see Max fully recovered and able to walk. She may still be blind, but what if she has the power to see into the Upside Down. That is how they'll find Vecna and eventually defeat him.

we know one thing dustin does have a tiny relationship with D'artagnan so if they find way's to get them on there side they need the demo-dogs that way if they train dart they might be able to end up getting the Demogorgon. and since the demo-dog's turn into them then that way they might actually have a chance to use that and communicate but they need elle/eleven's power's so if they can do it so they need a distraction so that way one team can go and form the army and then weaken Vecna. it is possible for her to get her telekinesis back but we need some type of weakness but that could be a chance i would take if i were in this situation.
