When I first saw this when I was 5, I thought it was boring and stupid. But now that I'm older and understand it more, I have one thing to say--this cartoon is hilarious! 5/5
My mom had a book from high school that was for her American Literature class, and this story was in it. It was a fantastic textbook, much better than anything we have now (she went to high school in the 1930's). My teenage brother ruined it by drawing pictures of phalluses (phalli?) in every illustration of a person. He was obsessed with his schlong. He was a hippie, like all my older siblings were.
When I was a kid I watched this and thought it was OK because it was a Disney cartoon. Now as an adult I'm enjoying it for both the dialogue and the social commentary.
For those of you wondering why McMorehouse was upset at the price, the reason is this: 44¢ in 1905 is worth $15.73 today while 48¢ is worth $17.16 today. It's a difference of 4¢ back then (which would be equivalent to $1.43 today) but $1.43, while it doesn't seem much to us, back then would be equivalent to $51.11 today. Also, they made a mistake. The domestic guinea pig, the one that Flannery was holding, is the Cavia porcellus, not the Cavia aperea which is the Brazilian guinea pig.
@pytko3 hmmmm...no. I was making a reference to the nation's Capital because of one little misunderstanding that would become caught up in ''red tape.'' No offence to anyone. It just reminds me of something that would happen there. Example:"Are Tomatoes Fruits or Vegitables?" That sort of issue.
schizoidboy : Why would that be your response? 😱 Just separate male and female; it's super easy to tell them apart by just flipping them over and looking. (Seriously, you really cannot miss which ones are boys.)

Don't apologize for the quality. You have the best quality on all of RUclips.
Yea! It's the only version on youtube with the sound in sync!

DOn't regret the quality! If anything, it's better than the other video on here.

It's the Place that Sends You Mad: Railroad Edition!
Flanery talks like king Hubert from sleeping beauty and scrooge McDuck from Mickey and friends
It's not a dispute between Guinea Pigs and regular Pigs, it's a dispute between Guinea Pigs and Rabbits!
Walt was in touch with his Irish heritage.
Absolutely Brilliant

RIP
Mr. Flannery
1855-1905
Seriously did the book on their care not say that guinea pigs are rodents?

1:45 When my mom says I'm pretty when I smile
6:10 It's Thurl! His voice is unmistakable.
Does anyone know if the rest of the Melomen were involved as well?
Businessmen can really relate to this.
This looks like something that happens in Washington D.C.
First watched this one when I was like five years old--- takes me back :)
By the way, does anyone know the title of that irish jig?
Christopher Czepa The Wikipedia page says it is the jig “The Irish Washerwoman”
Warner Bros A Phantasy Cartoon-Pigs was Pigs feat. Linus and Lucy (2022)
Note: this cartoon short will be the first Linus and Lucy trilogy
Bill Thopson Did the Voice of Flanery.
He also voiced King Hubert from sleeping beauty, scrooge McDuck from Mickey and friends, and uncle Waldo from Disney's the aristocats
3:49 we want the redhead🏴☠️
Already found this out, but thanks anyway :)

1:46 6:31-6:55 7:15 8:26 8:57
Seriously, did the book on their care not state quite clearly that guinea pigs are rodents and not real pigs? Do your homework, people!
wtf this isn't every time i die
@Gundamknight100 He is.
Well come on, the story was written in 1905
William Craig : I think that's when it's set, not when the story was actually written.
Why do I feel like killing Guinea Pigs whenever I see this cartoon? Or at least introducing them to wildcats with frying pans:)
schizoidboy : Why would that be your response? 😱 Just separate male and female; it's super easy to tell them apart by just flipping them over and looking. (Seriously, you really cannot miss which ones are boys.)
