If you made a wooden form with a blade built into it you could make all your tiles uniform from the very start. Think of it as a giant cheese grater. This is how tiles have been made for millennia in uniform ways. That way your tiles won't end up ugly and wriggly and won't need finishing on a saw either.
This pattern is truly amazing! I want to make my own ceramic floor tiles. Could I ask you how to make them properly? I know I should burn the clay twice and after the first burning apply a desired color glaze. And this is my main concern: which glaze should I choose to keep the floor safe from scratches? When it's a shiny glaze even small particles of sand can damage it... Is there anything you could recommend me? I would be more than grateful:)
Okay! I just creeped myself out. When I watched the very beginning of this video. You see I was watching parts of the new Annabelle movie. Then I switched to this video. Seriously I nearly jumped out of my seat. Anyway that was a beautiful piece and a well done video. I don't regret watching this video at all.
Getting custom tiles made is going to cost a lot no matter what. You're better off going to a few tile places and seeing if they can match them or replacing the whole lot. Unless they're historic in which case reproduce them by all means it's not worth not doing it properly.
I would love to create my own floor tiles. I have around 3-4 square meters at the entrance of my house (inside). Has anybody experience with this? what kind of material, clay gaze etc. any help is highly welcome :)
Those tiles are going to pick up huge amounts of dirt. Terrible work. Very crudely done. That said, it's an interesting video. Thanks for the content. Keep up the good work. בס'ד
What a great tile design. ❤️ I wasn’t sure at first, but the final piece reminded me of heartwood cut floors. Very well done.
Amazing video of ceramic #tile making, showing complete ceramic #tile making procedure briefly. Keep sharing such videos.
This is gorgeous - what a beautiful installation. Nice quality video, as well.
I didn't see that coming! Gorgeous work.
Stunning video.

do you need to knead the clay first? It looks like you are just cutting off the block you purchased.

Would be better if you didn't see all the finger indentations.
