Returning for the second chapter, S.P.Y goes ‘Back To Basics’ and takes us deeper, darker and further underground with this uncompromising selection.
The recent ‘Back To Basics Chapter One’ LP introduced a new edge to his sound, and having tested these tracks in his DJ sets over recent months, S.P.Y has fine-tuned mixdowns and structures for maximum dancefloor impact.
S.P.Y’s brings in the iconic vocals of Diane Charlemagne once again with a “Great use of a great singer” according to Eddy Tm X-FM. Closest allies Total Science return to collaborate on this second edition, joined by Spearhead’s Bcee and well renowned MC Lowqui.

This is y spy is the man. That second drop and the sound design on this is incredible. I fell out of love with dnb as i have got abit older and stoped going to raves , but when i here stuff like this it takes me back to a good time in my life. I do miss it. Im one of the lucky ones who owns a copy of tbis signed on vinyl. The 4 disks sit pride of place in a big frame in my wall. We love u s.p.y.

Sure man, it is drum and bass. But you can go deeper than just that and find out what kind of DnB it is. Basically, any song in drum and bass can be put into one of four categories: jump up, techstep, neurofunk and liquid. Just gotta ask yourself which one this track is :)
