- having a spell with 1350 cast range and 1 sec cooldown is possible these day, yes. we can do it with luna magic build. i increase cast range with aether lens, and reduce cooldown with octarine + quickening arm. HOW TO WIN WITHOUT TOUCHING YOUR ENEMY (Luna magic build)

Been doing this build long before bulldog. It's a very fun build and I have no clue why it's not used that much in 5k+ mmr.
Few key points:
1) You don't really need Aether Lens.
2) Manta is better as 2nd item after aghs, or yasha before aghs. To compensate the magic build lacking tower DPS.
3) In most cases go refersher before octarine. Example game 2 where they had Lifestealer and BKB alchemist. With refresher they can dodge one ult , but not the other.
4) In higher skilled games, you should use ult to snipe the supports sitting behind the enemy cores. You have 3000 range on ult with aghs, afterall.
5) There's a late-game variant that uses eblade.
Good luck getting to aghs without getting ganked 5 times in 5k+ games.
Also physical luna with aghs is more deadly than full magic. As you can use ur ult to burst down supps then we all know that luna's dmg potential is no joke.
You can go for pos 4 luna with full magic dmg tho. Pretty terrifying.
wow great points, just finished my first game using the build and after analysis came to the same conclusion on aether lens. What i can add though - DONT GET Mask of Madness! Try first item meteor hammer, how could you not? But seriously though, same farming as MoM, but then u can hammer with that CRAZY range. great to play active instead of greedy and mana regen is great if skipping aether. TRY IT!
also - how do you counter blademail? do you have to go BKB? maybe get a euls and just pop euls after ur ult if they bm haha

@@Donseam93370 Magical damage is insanely good as the game progresses...every low cooldown mage scales better than dps cores as the game goes late. A 7 slotted TB or Spectre or Medusa can get destroyed by a 7 slotted zeus or an ember with good positioning.
@@paritoshruia5801 not to mention the 5 sec bkbs against a 2 sec CD 400 damage (without spell amp) nuke.
Kinda understood spec tho.. Everyone in his team was all magic except for him.. They got countered quite well.
@@readysetmood9473 that's the thing, that "counter" was a little bandage in a open wound, their bkbs expiring way too quick and they werent getting enough done. He was doin most of the damage on them even if it didnt look. And after the refresher it was next to impossible to win fights as long as he didnt use it poorly.
That casual "problem spec?" at the end was priceless.

I used to go for a similar build: aghs, manta, butterfly (or monkey king bar) and refresher orb. A mix between magical and physical damage.
same like me, Manta first tho, for the farm. Im going to try rushing madness from now, since its cheaper and quite flexible to be satanic and butterfly just incase 60 minute games.
Issue with this is if their team is actually coordinated, this strat won’t function as it depends entirely on too many things to happen in your favour

Maybe you don't know. Rizpol was also quite toxic before he changed his channel to a dota channel spiced with memes. In fact, he once promoted "MMR Booster services" on his own channel until he finally deleted it, lul.

On last calibration in 2019 I got almost all ten games immortal players that destroyed our games. Dota is a dead game that valve doesn't know how to fix.

Ive been doing this build since her talents were introduced with magic leaning... But the talent nerfs hit her hard, used to permastun everyone with 0.25 ministun, but talent reduced it.
And imagine getting spell prism😍😍😍 ghad eclipse/refresher so fast cd with octa/spell prism.. I could literally spam eclipse!

Sure, so those other 3 times we saw you hold your lucent beam for a few seconds only to get the last hit with it were just a bit of negligence.
I really think complaining about KS is counter productive. dont get me wrong, I agree supp should give kills to the carry, then try to let the last hit to creep and heroes to higher position team. and he doing it as magic caster to deliberately to get kill is annoying.
but risking the guy gone, if I didnt execute him is worse. I didnt care who gets the kill, I just want he dead. I gave the creep earlier, I dont really need the kill or gold nor care about them. So dont waste time typing and blaming when I executing someone that about to run. Heck, some of them complaining when Im execute opponent with auto attack, as WARLOCK. Not the golem, but as the warlock guy himself.
I saw this "KS" thing in low rank tho, somehow less often in higher rank.

Luna is a strong hero currently. Not top tier, but strong.
Her mixed damage, flexible item builds and pushing power is just good in everything.
Except support roles. Luna makes a bad support hero. But who cares about that.

Tip: You could click ult on teammate so it will follow them instead of staying in one spot

Tried this strat in a pub game a while ago and I can't believe it worked!!
I'm not usually midlane player so I always go core build on Luna..
But after seeing this and actually tried it, damn it was a pretty good comeback..
We were about to lose the game but thanks to this strat, we actually won..
Dodging that pudge hook was a perfect time to use the OMG inhuman reactions

finally, someone brought up this build lol. Ma friend always told me that this is a shitty build for luna but when I play luna, I always do Q spamming build lmao
i was doing the same build by that time (you should see it before the talent nerfs, when you could have 2x cd jungle items in inventory ;) ), but:
was going treads (i see why you choose travel, not bad)
skipped wraith bands, skip Q (only 1 level), ward woods to pull with Q and make stacks from below, max W-E
treads - MoM -yasha to maximize farm speed
Yasha - > Yasha and Kaya -> Aghs
then went purple ball -> EB ->refresher, or EB-Purple or whatever order. Maintained about 90% winrate, made insane comebacks.
Timings: most of the time have SnK Aghs EB by 21-22. Hit aghs after snk around min 16 too due to the farmspeed you get from yasha. YnK gives you great mana regen amp that is great for luna Q spam.
Nice video, havent tried that build in a long time. Maybe i will try it again.
