Big thanks to Brad for this request. Hey, when the other pilot has ejected is it possible to do a close fly-by his chute and then show his view point when the jet roars by! GREAT Content, thank You GS
My favorite thing about watching your channel is learning all of the technical terminology and jargon. Example: "Okay were gonna have to start doing some... of that pilot shit!"
Really cool seeing the same planes going at it. I was thinking it’d be great/potentially funny idea of seeing some more modern planes up against some old WWI or WWII planes, like F-14 vs bf 109 or something like that.
Ever seen the film "The Final Countdown" Where a US carrier with an F14 fleet gets sent back in time to the pacific in WW2 and have to fight the japanese fleet? The F14 dogfight the Zeros. Corny but fun.
Your are the sole reason I have gotten into jet aircrafts and armaments. Thank you for opening this door of knowledge. For all those who thinks it's just two aircrafts going around in a circle, do your homework! It's way more intricate than that. Mr. Growling makes learning so easy and fun...if only they taught like this for training. Thank you for your content.
Actually this kind of dogfights using guns and missiles are a lot more interesting than just guns that the best turning aircraft is most of the times winning.
I see this mock dogfight over my house multiple times a week almost. 180th fighter Squadron comes down to our area to play. It's funny because mostly you see them do bfm and they get slow. Very slow. After I presume the kill has been made, they both throttle up and take off north. Sometimes two chasing one. It's really awesome to watch.
Wanted to just say that I've been watching your videos for years now and I genuinely appreciate the love and dedication you put into the videos and your explanation of everything. Dodging missles, one circle vs 2 etc.. what is the name of the musical piece you use? Thank you for everything you do. I appreciate you, Longshot, Feisty, Spector and everyone you fly with. Best wishes.
I love the Aggressor colors on that viper. Back in July or August 2015 I got to ride in the backseat of a D-model Aggressor (with the same color scheme) at Eielson AFB during Red Flag. I wish I had known what was going on back then but it was awesome nonetheless.
Great video GS! I have noticed that you're using countermeasure programs (1 per second for 10 times) instead of manual bypass, but in older videos you mentioned how clustered flares are much more effective compared to dropping them sparsely (since they create a bigger IR signature). Could I ask for the reason for this decision or the meaning behind it? Big thanks!
Even though dogfighting videos are great, it would be really cool to see some more "realistic scenarios" videos, like, multiple jets from one nation against jets from one other nation, with little information about the other side's forces...
I'd love to see a battle royale dogfight where 3 or more aircraft merge, everyone out for themselves. Bandit unknown potentially just for kicks. Good video, the viper is amazing!
I want to congratulate you on your superb music choices during the "end phase" of the fights. It conveys to me a deep respect for the fallen warrior and sadness at the necessity of the destruction. That adds to the value of the video for me. Thank you Sir!
when dogfighting with the 2 same planes, it all comes down to the pilot's skills and capability. Big kudos to you! I would like to see you and someone else dogfight in any of the flankers! would be awesome to see.
Glad you're enjoying your time in the Viper. Perhaps show the Hornet some love and show us specifically how to force a 1-circle against someone trying to force a 2 circle? You have lots of videos in the Tomcat and Viper where you show excellent patience in setting up a 2-circle, could we see the other side?
Hey Growling Loving the vids. Those of us less experienced could do with defensive guidance. I know the USAF start the process with the defensive student in front of the instructor and has to defend and try and turn the fight. Just a thought. Keep em coming My Dude ;)
i’d like to thank you Sidewinder for making me install DCS, try my best with M&K and XBOX controller, Test the F-16 and make me learn this awesome plane, i think i’ll eventually buy it even if i’d like a carrier capable plane.
Would love to see a vs between the F35 and Harrier. Not dog fight craft so here's the setting. First target would be one opponent's SAM site , then on to dog fight!
Hi GS. Just a hypothetical question. If say, the Airforce offers you training and be part of their regular force (F16/F35/F22), will you accept? Real flying is truly different, but man, you are miles ahead in simulator flights and truly knows how to fly and fight, you are more than capable than those joining the novice training. 👍
I think it'd make a great video to see the f22 vs f35 vs f16 vs f14 at BVR, it would be interesting to see who would win, most likely the f22 but it could be interesting.
Unfortunately I am one of those people that doesn't fully understand what losing/winning queues are in a dogfight and whatnot - is there are possibility of making a video breaking down some common queues that should be taken advantage of and how to avoid making those mistakes?
yo I don't know if u have done this but try a10 warthog vs f22 raptor it wont last long but it will be interesting because it a flying tank vs probably the most op plane on earth
GS looks like your getting a comment a minute I hope you keep it up through your career whatever you do my friend, for all you have done the past couple of years for everyone, Thank you and Gods speed.
I am having a blast with VR DCS F-16, but my Aim9 seeker head always goes warm and I have to reach over and select cool while I'm in a dog fight, and it mess's me up.
Spanish vs Canadian or American vs Swiss F-18 would be cool to see. Don't have the Falcon already spent too much during the sale maybe during the summer, though I'll remember to use your code.
Hey I'd love to know what your tobii eye tracking settings are, I've never been able to settle at anything and would like a reference point to base my settings off of
We see this kind of dogfight, where the skill of the pilot only matters, all day every single day over the Aegean sea. Guess who wins every single time...
Wow you juked that man out of his shoes when he was on your 6. If you get behind GS you better not let your guard down or think its in the bag. You jammed a lot more than his WEZ in these fights.

Next up, 2v2 dogfights?
4:20 gave me a good idea, same aircraft pick your own load out.
Does the code stack with other discounts? Like the beginner discount that you get.
Big thanks to Brad for this request.

GREAT Content, thank You GS
Growling check the description, you wrote "Simualtor" instead of "Simulator", nice video btw
Well GS, you're good man. Your kill ratio remains about 3 to 1 even on a level playing field. I would have thought it might drop slightly, but nope ;)
Luck is a good thing to have in the back pocket like that first round lol, thanks again for the video suggestion.
@@GrowlingSidewinder luck combined with skill is a winner!

You mean like Iron Eagle 3? Because it would be just as corny
@@CharlieThunder24 i always remember the scene where he throws foil out the canopy as chaff! XD

Never knew what a rare fight was until I started watching. Only plane I knew was the tomcat.
WoW...I'm honored! Very cool vid, Thanks for making it.
Thanks again for the suggestion man.
Love the F-16, especially in a dogfight. Keep up the good work!
Very nice. I've been looking forward to this kind of vid!
Actually this kind of dogfights using guns and missiles are a lot more interesting than just guns that the best turning aircraft is most of the times winning.
Please keep ‘em coming. Continues to be great content!

I was stationed in Alaska with an airborne infantry unit and remember seeing those planes with AK on the tail. Brings back some good memories.
This channel is still one of the calmest ways to unwind whilst watching something competitive. Road to 1 mil!
I love the camo patterns you chose for your Viper, gives her a more badass vibe to it... and great airmanship to you two!
they are real red flag paints from the Alaskan JBER and Eielson af base,, Arctic paints

those two kill were identical a gun solution while a missile fly's by. great cinematic shot. awesome channel, I can't wait for next content

Nice flying in round 1. You made a great transition. How was the swim in round 3?

Another great video, GS. Kudos to the bandit as well; he gave a good account of himself.
THANK YOU SO MUCH I REALLY NEEDED THIS!
Every time I see you fight it reminds me of that comment in Top Gun describing Ice Man: He waits for you to make a mistake then gets you ;)
Love the F-16 - just a good looking bird.
Had a good laugh at that 'pilot shit'; don't get to see forced overshoots often with post WWII planes
A wise man once said:
"Ok we're gonna have to do some of that pilot shit."
Just gotta say i love your vids! Fun, entertaining and informative.
Happy to see more F-16 viper content
That missile kill in round 2 was so satisfying haha
Hello, Can you and Longshot do a A-10 Vs A-10 fight? I think a gun fight would be great.
that would be awesome
Hey Growling Loving the vids. Those of us less experienced could do with defensive guidance. I know the USAF start the process with the defensive student in front of the instructor and has to defend and try and turn the fight. Just a thought. Keep em coming My Dude ;)

In round 1, that fox2 was definitely up his tailpipe... until it was outmaneuvered by losing a wing!
Viper go ballistic like, you can't control
GS, thanks for your service in our troubled age.
That was a nice save in the first fight. I'm gonna have to remember that move.
It’s not the bucket but the man flying it that counts!

Duno if he can pass the healty checks
The Viper is such a monster!!! No wonder it’s the most sold Aircraft in the world.

There is a lot about symmetrical engagements that I just don’t get. Can you please do more like this and explain some tactics and basics further?
When the turn reversal results in a Fox 2 to the face….lol
Like it! Thanks GS
Thanks as always Ken, hope you’re well.

With all things being equal, it comes down to pilot skill and command of your aircraft. Have you tried your skill in furball combat?
could you maybe do a high altitude dog fight, like 40,000 feet or something like that?
nice cinematic shots.
I bought the F-16 last night and downloaded the Syracuse 138th TFS, 174th TFW skin.
yo I don't know if u have done this but try a10 warthog vs f22 raptor it wont last long but it will be interesting because it a flying tank vs probably the most op plane on earth
Some il2 vr action with maybe p39 or spitfire would be really cool👍great videos man
Can you do a video where you fight BFM with the same type but with guns, Sidewinder and AMRAAM, as it would be in a real life engagement?
GS looks like your getting a comment a minute I hope you keep it up through your career whatever you do my friend, for all you have done the past couple of years for everyone, Thank you and Gods speed.
I wanna see some chaos in one of these videos. 2V2 or more in a merge with archers. Do it!
You guys are awesome GOD BLESS
I 👍 Brad's comment. Thanks GS!

Your videos are a nice break from all the chaos.
Thanks James, glad to be of service.
GS, have you ever run into a pilot that you just couldn't keep up with? Not a certain aircraft, but an individual who you just couldn't top?
3:05 he did the thing! He said the title
I don't play DCS, but enjoy the videos. Just watched a special about the F-8 Crusader. It would be cool if they would bring into DCS.
We sadly dont have the F-8 for DCS yet but its in development
I hear the sad theme from top gun when you shoot him down
I very rarely see a turn reversal that works out well.
I would like to see another video like this but with Longshot and with another aircraft ?maybe even the Raptor?
That first kill was dirty 😳
When I hit the brakes he'll fly right by
Lol... Round 4... I would have dumped the nose... and died. :-)
Congrats to Specter. Shooting down GS is no small feat it seems.
How many days, weeks, or perhaps months did it take you to get a solid grasp on DCS when you were a new player?
"Some of that pilot shit"
::Does pilot shit::
Least the water looked shallow haha
@5:29 did you shoot your gun as well? Have you ever let go a missle, shot your gun, and shot down your own missle?
When GS talks about Apaches (at 6:20 ish) is he talking about the Ah-64 rotary wing gunship (ie - helicopter)?
Yes, the AH-64D to be more percise which is currently in development for this simulator and it will enter early access soon.
@@Mike_Romeo
That's pretty awesome!!!
I hope GS treats us to some more "2 Idiots" adventures with the AH-64!!!
I wonder how a fight between an F-15 XE would stack up against an JSF35?
Can't wait for "Lock!"
It's incredible how real dcs looks nowadays, those f-16s are nearly indistinguishable from the real thing!

you should do some more F/A-18 Hornet Carrier operations
Can you do maybe more videos of f16 and f18 fights? It's really hard to win a match against the f18
We see this kind of dogfight, where the skill of the pilot only matters, all day every single day over the Aegean sea. Guess who wins every single time...
Great video as always
More Bandit unknown please! Maybe F15c?
When are you gonna do F/A-18 vs f22 or F18 BVR fight?
You going to use the new VR headset you got some time?
What do you think separates a great pilot compared to an average pilot?
patience
At 2:30 how did you get him to over shoot? rudder use? Thanks
I do have a question, I'm old school. Like iron eagle old school. When did the F-16 go from fighting falcon to being called the viper? And why?
It’s just a nickname for the f-16 like how the a10 is called the warthog but it’s actually the thunderbolt II
Oml thank youuuuuuu GS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice i love the f-16 even tho i'm not that good at it
Please make a Bandit unkown video for SU-30 MKI

are you using track IR? sure would like that file. I can`t seem to keep my eye on any target
He, his trackIR profile is somewhere in the community section of this YT channel, keep in mind he has a 55inch 4K monitor and propably see everything
do a dogfight of the new paf j10 vs iaf rafale
can you do the f22 vs su 57 BVR fight because you never done it before?
