The camp cold lake was the first goosebumps book I read and it freaked me out so much as a kid that it took years for me to pick up another goosebumps book and I realized a lot of them are very cheesy
They all 100% did have the line at the top 😂 This was super entertaining though! I was definitely a Goosebumps fan as a kid, and I actually work in a children's library now, so I've been flipping through some of the classics. Some of them hold up really well, others... ehhh, they're still fun to laugh at. And don't even get me started on the Fear Street books; they're really fun for a quick read but the covers aren't nearly as unhinged and creative as Goosebumps lol.
Haha I still can’t fathom the idea that they all have the line… but I’m glad you liked it! This definitely made me want to look back at some of them, it is very convenient that you have the ability to do so haha. Never read fear street tho!
The bee one definitely belonged in S, I never read it but it certainly belonged there. I also like to imagine that it's R.L. Stine's mask off moment where he lets out his true fear of bees.
*SPOILERS* The Ghost Next Door * * * * * Is the one with the twist where the pov character was actually the ghost (rather than the neighbour). Looks like a sneaky hint having a pov ghost on the cover. That book made me sad 😭 pretty tragic twist tbh , whole family died in a fire
Haha, it seems like the main argument is "are the best Goosebumps covers creepy or hilarious?" Makes the only real losers the boring or eye-searing ones. And I'm glad you put "Calling All Creeps!" in it's rightful place!
