Love mine. Came in handy to cut a cedar that had fallen and kept me from having access to a surf wave. Nice and compact and easily fits in my Silverbirch Covert 9.3
Nice review. I was trying to decide between this and a Silky BigBoy. I like how the Silky folds down smaller and is better for cutting in tight spaces. But the Silky's teeth are more aggressive and easy to cut yourself with. The Agawa's handle is more ergonomic and because of the bow design there's less chance of breaking a blade. And like you said if you do break a blade you can buy another at any hardware store. Replacement blades for the Silky are fifty bucks and special order. This is very well designed.
It had 3 blades tucked in to choose from. One metal cutting hacksaw type blade, two for wood. But I only ever cut campfire wood with it. I should carry it for strainers more often. Similar carry case as well. Can’t beat this style for cutting quickly. I like this new one for the extra depth and other features you described. What a saw was a triangular configuration. What a saw is a bit slower deploying. Might have to get this one for the water. Great vids man.
@@WadeHarrison yeah that hand chainsaw is sick bro, definitely picking one up for my dry bag as well but yes I could see this as a great camping backpacking tool, doesn’t take up much space
I saw a video* which suggested the Silky's you mention are better for felling, or like any folding saw, good for getting in close spaces, whereas the Agawa Canyon / Bob Dustrude's Quick Buck Saw type saws are better for processing wood. That explanation makes sense to me. [Bushcraft Saws | Agawa & Silky - Whats Best? by Bushwacker Man; with Girl Outdoors] Of course it also depends on personal preference, sawing style, and what one happens to have available.

Similar to my old (80’s?) What-A-Saw but with a bit more cut depth. Nice looking tool.

Yeah I dig this, that carrying case is cool.
This one is mostly a camping backpacking type saw in my dry bag I still keep my hand chainsaw for like emergency type stuff on the river

Nice bit of kit 👍
Yeah, its such a solid set up
Nice saw, but what you really need to try is the Silky Katana Boy or Big Boy!
I have used one and they are good but Between this and my pocket chainsaw no use for folding saws at this point..
