People who are solo/single can’t shop at Costco regularly because we don’t have the space to store that volume of products! We solo have to go to places like Target where the consumption of products to buy is more manageable.
Clark, thank you for giving a shout out to our US Post Office workers. Have to tell you that at the peak of the total solar eclipse in my Texas town, who rolls up? My neighborhood's USPO delivery person! "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds" Add total solar eclipse to the list! The postal service is a valued federal service. Side note: Completely agree with you on the Medicare "dis"Advantage plans. People are being sold a bill of goods!
Clark asserts that the operational issues at the USPS are not the workers’ fault. So who do I hold accountable for the fact that my neighbors get my mail and I get theirs? Is it the machines?
@@chuckinhouston9952 Yeah our local Post Office is like a morgue when you go in there, lol. Employees don't smile, act like they don't want to be there, and act like you're a huge inconvenience on their day. Honestly I don't think I've been in a post office/delivery center in any city I've lived in where anyone was happy or helpful. Our delivery people here constantly put mail in the wrong box, deliver packages to the wrong house, or put them in the wrong package locker.
I am not a guy and I hardly ever shop at target, why would I pay Targets prices when I could get it cheaper at Walmart, I have compared prices between them and most of the time Walmart is cheaper 🤷♀️ oops, sorry I made a mistake I first said target was cheaper and I meant Walmart 🤭
I can't believe a guy as smart and informed as Clark suggests a one size fits all approach to Social Security, determined only by a person's ability to work longer or otherwise subsidize their income. Life expectancy is the bigger issue, which is exactly how the yearly amounts are determined by the SSA.
USPS should just be sold off/privatized so someone who actually knows what they are doing can run it. Just sell it to FedEx and get it overwith. Anytime I have something being delivered by FedEx or UPS it arrives on time exactly when the tracking says it will. When I order something with Amazon, it arrives on time or they give me money back. If it's coming with the USPS...it gets lost in the mail, 2-3 days late with consistency if even that, or it sits at the post office for 2 weeks before they even get it out for delivery. I've started avoiding any retailer or company that ships with USPS because I know the package will never arrive on time and the deliveries aren't reliable. Last time I ordered something that came USPS it took them almost 6 days just to create the shipping label and the package sat at the regional office for almost a week.
One major difference: UPS & FedEX have a choice as to whether they serve a community or not. Congress told the USPS YOU MUST serve this location. I learned this as a tool buyer buying from a manufacturer of premium metal cutting tools located on a numbered route paralleling the Susquehanna River 50 miles north of the Pennsylvania State Capital of Harrisburg. UPS and FedEx would not serve that town, USPS was the only choice. I'm sure this is not unique, the for-profit shipping companies serve only routes having sufficient voolume to be profitable. USPS serves everyone by Federal mandate.
Clark, I saw you on a video for Habitat for humanity (Channel 2 ATL I think), you had a white T-shirt on and I did a double take!! You looked so good in that white shirt!! Was that shirt given to you???? 😅

Well, that made a long-running problem worse. The USPS is fixable and should remain a public service at some level in spite of those wanting to dump it.

We should impose payroll taxes for Social Security on all income not just the firat $168K in income. If the rich paid their fair share, then Social Security would have healthy financials.
You are missing a major flaw in your idea. The small business owner sacrifices a lifetime making an average salary to retire with pension of ZERO, only a business to sell. If they sell it for 250k, 300k, 500k, or maybe more, they will get slaughtered with taxes from the only retirement they have. It's an unfair, inefficient system that needs more than a simple income increase to fix.
@@makeyourlifeeasier5794 - There is a vast difference between the small businessman and oligarchs like Bezos and Musk who pay less taxes percentage wise than their secretaries.

EV for around town sounds like it is a spare car for him. Good for him but financially it makes no sense. Cost $25,000 and then insurance say $1,000 per year, cost of additional tag and registration. I need one car/work horse to do everything around town across the state, across multiple states. Is that EV charger they installed portable….NO GM didn’t install it out of the goodness of their heart, they are scrambling because the vast majority of us don’t want. I need an EV with $20k cost, that can tow and go 1,000 miles between charges, charging stations all over the place with a maximum of 10 minutes to be fully charged. Must charge as fast as I can fill up with gasoline!
Clark and Christa, I have to thank Shannon for the follow-up comment about the previous ‘US government Taking 401(K)s’ question. I was also confused about the information initially, but I appreciate that you took the time to respond to Shannon’s comment. Thanks for the clariification (whew!). You’re both great!
Agreed. I said the same thing. But Clark refuses to deal with the reality of politics on his program. Mr Dejoy owns investments that competes with the post office. However, President Biden has not been able to get rid of him, because he gave the postal board that hired him a great fat raise.
They have a more manageable product line for single adults. The massive costco products are a rip off for people who don’t have large families or a house!
The difference between Target and Walmart is, Target doesn’t depress me after shopping there.
I feel slimy just being near a woke Target store.
The post master general needs to be fired. Since his presence the whole system has gone to crap.

The problem with the postal service is its Trump appointed Postmaster, Louis DeJoy.
