Actually, based on what we know about her, she's probably very intelligent. You have to remember she's at least a year younger, and could be up to 2 years younger, than all the other children at the school. There's a massive gap in the intelligence of a 6 year old vs a 5 year old. The gap would narrow rapidly as they grow older. Add to that Eden teaches extremely advanced concepts for 6 year olds, even gifted children would struggle with those lessons, if Anya can keep up at all she must be fairly bright.

And she can't be too focused on studying either, because the focus of kids her age are food and play. Even if it's common for her to get low grades, the fact that she's holding on enough to pass, it really makes her quite academically capable. ❤️
I think the imperial scholar in this comic refers to Damian, not Anya. Damian was saying that his authority as an imperial scholar includes being able to interrupt conversations, interrupt the other guy's confession, and take Anya away... 😂😂😂
I think it makes sense, too. She's not academically gifted, but she can get a few Stellas by saving people. So I think she'd be on her way, but slower than Damian.
