- In this video we buy a Land Rover Loadspace partition net for our New Land Rover Defender L663 110. We unbox it and have a go at fitting it - seems pretty straightforward although the upper mounts seem a little odd ! The Land Rover part number for this is LR133503.
Авто/Мото
I had it included in the Defender - I found it under boot floor after a couple of weeks of driving 😁. I find it very useful in daily driving and have in on almost all of the time.
That was a lucky bonus !
Liking the new workshop guys 😀👍
Hi Nick - next time you visit we will show you around - may need you help showing off the winch rope stopper !
@@L663 Hi Simon, just let me know if you need a hand with anything, I will be there. If you want a recommendation for a winch course I have just the place. Cheers Nick
LR probably buy those in for about a fiver each. At £40 it might be a fair retail price and worth buying, but £145 Plus VAT = £174 total? Pull the other one!
Yes I think its just too expensive - one have the height and a quarter of the price would be a good idea !
I installed the load space partition -full height. It looks good and useful if you have a pet. the downside is you have to remove it if you want to load stuff (big tall boxes) or enjoy camping 🛌 🏕 🚗
Won’t stop much in accident. To my mind every suv should have a metal gate load separator if you carry stuff and don’t want a missile to the head in a collision. The LR metal gate is top notch.
Hi 👋 Nice 👍 kit I also added some genuine Land Rover accessories to my Range Rover.
Thanks for video.
🙏🙏👌👍
My Nextdoor neighbour is called what this is …. Annette 😂😂
When I saw this video pop up I almost laughed wondering how you'd get on with the top fixings. 🤣 Yes, they are weird ! You have to rotate the pawl thing so that it locates in the larger part of the hole. In your video the RHS one has done that for you. Somehow. 😂 I faffed around with it for a while, then watched shedlock2000's video where he just clips it into place - bosh. 🤔
Agree it's potentially not as good as the metal partition but it's quicker to dismount if you need all the loadspace.
But it does not really form a lock more that it just tucks away - I have ordered the part from the roof and will investigate more !
Shedlock is sound
Nice video!
Hmm….that is very expensive for something that is not really up to the job…..I can’t help on the click thing..do you locate that pawl inside the round part of the opening and behind the trim ?…see if anybody works it out! Good weather for camping…what luck you are home!! Richard😱😱😀😀😀😀
And now something completely different: Is there a comprehensive online new defender parts catalog available somewhere? I didn´t find any. I mean all parts of the car, especially interested in the middle console parts. Thanks!
I had it on my D5 and Velar, the little plastic lugs should fit into the holes I think, makes a decent dog guard but wouldn’t trust it with gas bottles. Off topic though I’ll ask anyway, can the centre console/armrest be removed? I deleted it from order but LR fitted anyway.
Interesting question - I guess it can but fitting an extra seat will be tricky - but if you just want a void that should be no problem.
Hi, can this be adjusted to fit behind the front seats for when you want the middle row seats down and the vehicle loaded such as when camping? Thanks.
Hi - I see where you are going with this idea - I dont think there are any hook in the roof further forward but I will take a look on Monday - I am driving the Freelander 2 this weekend
I was in half a mind to add one of these when I spec’d my 110 (if you get it as an interior option it’s £105 instead of £198 as an accessory!)But having watched this I’m glad I didn’t waste my money, just doesn’t fit well enough.
I’m currently pulling my hair out trying to fit the full height load space partition in my 110. Looks simple enough, but I can’t get it to fit and stay locked in at the top! Maybe you guys need to fit one of these 😜
I have one just arrived and the top trim as a panel so i will do a full investigation !
@@L663 awesome! Thanks. 👍
Will the top clips fit better if you turn it around ie left in the right
I tried them the other way around too but I cannot work out how they should work !
@powerfulukltd what have I spied on the rear? external power and a waterproof box above the rear lights on left hand side…?
Hi - Yes i need to do a video on this !
@@L663 can’t wait! My family and I love our discovery 4, and seeing you guys enjoy your cars and prototype ideas for the community is inspiring. Keep it up!
It's far too expensive for what it is, but that's Landrover for you!
Did you work out anything regarding the clip once the trim piece turned up?
not really - its a big vague !
Why are the straps so long ?
Try swapping the top corners over, left to the right and vicci verci
I did and it did not seem to help - I have ordered the top panel to investigate and see if i can design something better.
Does anyone make an insert which could be put in the back of a defender 90,in order to make the boot level??
If not it’s sounds like a good idea to me?
Yes a drawer would be good.
Expensive piece of kit, but as George says well made, quality, have to really think about spending £180 though
Hi can you reverse the roof fittings ie lput the left one in the right side and vice versa .
read my comment back an hour ago 🤷🏼
I did try this too - but still cannot work it out - I have ordered the trim section from Land Rover - there goes another £120.. to see if i can work out how it should work or design something better...
@@L663 you will sort it out now doubt and make it better 👌🏻 strange about the gap at the bottom as well 👍🏻
Reckon Powerfuluk could make something similar and retail it for £70
Landrover taking the mick as usual.
Not similar, almost anyone could do better
Just a thought chaps, the space at the side of the partition may be deliberate to allow room for the Air Bag in the panel below! Cheers Non Stick Nick
Volvo V70s have all that built into the back of the seat which can be taken down when not in use .
Too dear!
Yes I probably will not add to the website at this price as i cannot see we will sell many.
I thought you were going to fall out the door.
I want a load retention system to be strong enough to stop stuff like a gas cylinder hitting me on the head in the event of an accident. But this system is only good enough to stop stuff rolling onto the back seat under mild breaking. The pins in the cleats will shear first and it looks like it will pull out of the roof no problem. It's a pathetic piece of rubbish. Quite like the car though.
Flimsy net vs 20kg gas cylinder. Hmmm 🤔
Might be nice quality for metal clamps and wire but its still just a sheet. Way overpriced. Probably cost £5 to make if that.
I kind of agree... there is quality and there is expensive.
What a monumental rip off. Does it come with a free stamp that says mug?
I love Landrover vehicles but they are smoking something when it comes to the price of accessories.
I used this net this weekend and it was ultra useful but the price is a little on the high side
Hopeless, at least you didn't need a hacksaw and grinder this time
Fair comment !
@@L663 thinking about this, why did they go for this complicated spring /cam thing that no one can work out anyway?
All that was needed was a key fixing that needed to be rotated 180 degrees so that it wouldn't fall out. A simple hook would have done the job because the cynch strap would hold it in anyway. What's wrong with land rover these days?
As it's so expensive, I don't doubt that you could come up with something better.
